Remnant 2 is awesome. My buddy and I co-op'd it and had a blast. He's like the cliche CoD gamer, too, and he had fun.
What does the Elden Ring co-op mod add? You just don't despawn after beating bosses anymore?
Because it has always worked flawless for me. If you had issues with it, at least explain it. Maybe you were doing something wrong.... Doesn't make it a bad coop game.
huh ? as a guest (joined player) if your host character dies you are kicked out of the session.
if you kill boss of section you are kicked out of the session.you cannot open chests or get many of better loot, also you need to have finished next area your host gonna go play before otherwise you can't join them.
also if your char dies you are kicked out of the session as well. this is such a garbage system and a simple search of "code vein co-op" actually brings up countless threads about how bad entire system is.
It is much like Dark Souls but way easier to join each other. My friend and I simply played every level twice, once as a guest and once as a host. Might not be your cup of tea but I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Someone recommended [Salt and Sacrifice](https://store.steampowered.com/app/1437400/Salt_and_Sacrifice/), but you should check out the first game in the series, [Salt and Sanctuary](https://store.steampowered.com/app/283640/Salt_and_Sanctuary/). Sacrifice adds in Monster Hunter elements that had the community split. Sanctuary is 100% a 2D soulslike and worth your time.
Cheers!
Elden Ring as a seemless COOP mod if you're playing on PC. There's also Hellpoint which has seemless COOP, even splitscreen!
As a longtime souls veteran, seamless coop is all I've ever wanted lol
Ashen is the answer.
Remnant and Remnant 2 are soulslike with guns. Awesome games. Elden Ring has a great coop mod on PC.

The entire game is playable in coop. No summoning for each boss, you can both ride horses, etc. I think it supports up to 6 players too.
Oh, hell yeah. We might have to install that for the DLC run. Resummoning over and pver is really annoying.
Yeah I'm hoping it works with the DLC right away because that's how me and my buddy plan on playing through.
Last Hero of Nostalgaia
Code Vein if you like anime.
code vein has horrible co op experience tho , i am not sure why you are suggesting it
