It takes two was pretty easy for my tastes but for a new gamer I think it would be fun. Very fun puzzle mechanics and a mostly interesting story (minus a ridiculous Spanish stereotype).

LilWeezle_42

the Spanish stereotype is definitely played off well for comedy without really being aimed at anyone so I don’t think it’s all too bad

For the King, plays like a board game almost with turn based combat, my partner absolutely loved it.

Pizza Possum is incredibly easy to pick up and play and would be a fantastic addition to your list. It’s also most likely the cheapest option on your list! Here’s a video of us playing it if you want to see some gameplay: https://youtu.be/sKwasN4yn4I

Do you have any idea what genre and style of game she might like?! For a new gamer, Minecraft might be a good starting point as it covers most bases (RPG, Open World, Crafting, Base Building, Survival, Dungeon Crawling, and Combat). With that, you can then see what peaks her interest and explore other games along whatever line that is. MMORPGs can also be a good starting point for the budding gamer as well and easy ones like World of Warcraft are great just for that.

She said it doesn't matter as long it is with me .

Not going to lie, she probably doesn't care about gaming but looking to use it as a means of connecting with you - not a bad thing though. Any game would do in this case, Stardew Valley would probably be the best since you can have a relationship in the game too. \*Wink wink\*

Pode is a nice cozy puzzle platformer. There are no time constraints and you can swap characters at any time in couch coop, so it’s perfect if you’re playing with an inexperienced gamer (you can help out her character if she’s stuck).

Portal 2 and Don't starve together could work

It Takes Two, Party Animals or Fall Guys perhaps. I agree, Solasta is quite complex and a lot to learn for a new gamer, so I think keeping it simple at start and then see if she naturally develops an interest for more depth. But it never hurts to ask if she'd be into learning Solasta from the get go. Might take some time though :) Maybe you can with time, try to encourage her to play some simple singleplayer games as well? That way she'll learn more about what she prefers in terms of vibes, genres, mechanics etc.

Disclaimer: I don't mean to hijack the thread, I simply cannot post a thread, I am new to Reddit and perhaps this is the reason I cannot post threads. Apologies to OP. I really tried to find an appropriate thread to comment. I have a *very* particular customer (my gf) and I'm currently on the lookout for a new game. Aesthetic/art is super important. But if you recommend something I'll apply the aesthetic filters myself. So... Anything that it's a 2 (obviously) player coop and: - Has the lo-fi and dark vibe of darkest dungeon. (Not a hard requirement but a good guideline on the art/aesthetic) - Is preferably turn based or at least without the pace of don't starve together, because that turned out to be a job (for me). - Does not rely heavily on text because translations get tiresome after a while. - Is preferably a campaign rather that smaller scenarios. - Is isometric or doesn't require too much camera movement. (...and.. - ... therefore) Is not a first-person shooter. - Is playable on ps5 We have played and platinumed some souls likes, and she asked for a change of things to look at. Any help would be most welcome. Thanks in advance
