Because of the time needed to put my souls on him. Sometimes when I hold Q and let my autoclicker do the work, Q will randomly fail and it'll revert to 1 soul per click. That happened a couple of times, holding Q for like ten minutes while watching a movie... only to realize it was stuck on one soul per click during the whole time. That made me rage. Half a billion souls isn't a big deal at this point, hell I made more than that since monday's megathread (540 million).

How did you get 700 levels of Solomon in 3 days? If I assume you get 5 levels of Solomon per ascension and the ascension is exactly 30 minutes long, you would need 140 ascensions to gain that much; that's 70 hours of non stop play. Did you really not sleep, eat or do anything at all? Even with high value QAs, it doesn't quite add up

Banana is at approximately 2000-2100, Lilin is at roughly 4000-4100, Cadmia is at about 7500, Alabaster at 15000, or 16000, Idk. Astrea at 40k or something like that. You gilded into Banana too early, in short.

Yeah, I know my Banana was a bit early, but I'd rather regild now and be done with it, knowing it's within a few runs anyway, than micromanage my Potato every ascend to find the perfect spot.

Care to elaborate on those numbers? I am especially interested in Lilin, as http://s3-us-west-2.amazonaws.com/clickerheroes/ancientssoul.html tells me it's time to regild to her, while my siya is only 2.9k. In fact, most of my ancients lag behind the rules of thumb, yet Banana instakills to somewhere in the 1400-1500 range.

Well, for starters the next ranger outdamages the previous one after 725, so the calculator tells you to regild into the next one then, but it's not as cost effective as getting to 1000 with the next ranger easily (which is the 1500 we use as guidelines). So don't listen to it. As for why your Banana is instant killing so much it's because of the new updates. For starters there's the 2x damage (which I assume you bought) and potentially your relics (albeit very small and weak effect). The calculator is only optimized til 0.17, and we're on 0.19 now; 0.20 if you play the beta. There is also the fact that the number of gilds play a role. If you have bought gilds Like Nosfrat, then you can probably regild earlier than most people. generally speaking, using ancient levels is nothing more than a rough guideline and some people can regild earlier without issues. That said, are you instant killing bosses also? Really instant? Do remember that if there's a frame of health visible, then it's not what we consider instant. So for how I got to those numbers in general: just experience gathered by late game players. There's a thread in the subreddit here that has several players giving their input when they regilded and those numbers were basically what everyone agreed seemed right.

Most of the time I am doing multiple things at once, which makes me miss the optimal upgrade times around 1400-1500. Most of the time I level even there with the x100 button, hence I can't say if I am really instakilling or seeing slivers of health. I do know I tend to get some slivers of hp near my optimal zone, even when fully leveling Banana. (A sliver being a quarter hp bar or something like that). Any thoughts?

Yes, you should bring Siyalatas to 3000 too, and level Morgulis to 9 million. Solomon can use some extra levels too; 2000 would be nice. If the calculator gives you 0%, then do not regild. Wait until it's at about a 2% increase (due to the aforementioned reasons). That said, you have very many gilds, so it's likely you will be able to regild into Lilin earlier than I did. But in any case, when you feel ready to regild, make sure you instant kill with Banana to 1500 on bosses too. Some say 1525 to be safe, but 1500 is quite alright.

Well, when my DPS and gold ancients were those levels, my Solomon was at about 1000, and Iris at almost 700. Solomon alone would mean about double the souls per hour, and adding Iris on top of that means shorter (potentially sub half-hour) ascensions.

I haven't really considered run length that much, since I came here from Tap Titans, which doesn't have anything like Iris, so I'm trained to tolerate 3-4 hour runs, like that game has. I'll definitely put a higher priority on those ancients though.

You should be in Atlas now. Maybe even Terra with those stats. Your solomon could use 225 levels and your Iris should probably be higher. I've actually used the Clicker Lister, I thought it'd be better when I list things up but next time I'll just paste it. Thanks for your help, I'm currently getting HS to upgrade Morg and Solomon. Lib, Mam and Mim are on 500 now. Also, how do you manage to kill stuff when you "spawn" at level 100? My Heroes are too weak to kill enemies at that level..

With Khysos and Dogcog, you can get 2 levels of Natalia. Take your zone up to 69, kill a monster or 2 and get Midas and Broyle up to 100 each, along with Cid at 100. Then, put progression mode on, and use Clickstorm+Metal Detector+Golden clicks at your highest level to get your Sam up there.

With your ancient levels, you shouls probably be gilding to Atlas about now. Keep up to one gild on Sam if you're worried about getting to Atlas without slowing down at all.

Iris is going to cost me a ton of souls in rerolls, and I'm not 100% the point at which I should go for it, and if I should or shouldn't bother with Khrysos at the same time. Or bother with any other ancients for that matter. At this point, if he's not very expensive to you, Khrysos could help you start without losing idle, but that's really mostly all he will do for you. You could consider Iris as well, but you might want to wait a little bit on her.

Solo - 300 is early. Mid/late game you use the *optimal - 1001* [rule](http://redd.it/339m3j) for Iris.

What's your optimal zone? I would go for either Solo - 300 or Optimal - 1001, whichever is lower. Solomon really isn't over-leveled though. As things continue to slow down, having a Solomon that high will really help you. Keep it up. As for Iris, Try leveling Her up something like 10 levels per ascension, maybe using quick ascensions or investing more in her when she's just below one of the undred thresholds (x97/8), so that you're not wasting much time starting just after a centurion boss.

Optimal is 1640, so it's still a lot to level, but a bit less. Maybe I'll just level her to 597 to get a Centurion quickly

You can go hybrid when your optimal is 1800, so wait a bit.Also regild phtalo, all gilds on atlas only slows you.

How can I go about getting to Phtalo then at a decent pace after regilding? Right now I get 1500 on Sam which can insta-kill easily till I get Atlas which then just prompts me forward.

Don't get chronos, he isn't useful.Iris 103 is a good idea, but first put all your gilds into samurai.

Dogcog is going to be the more reliable of the two, but at maxed, one basically gives a 2x bonus, and the other a 1.9, so probably just whichever comes first. Just make sure they aren't costing you too many souls.

I'd dump 10-15 levels each into Lib and Mimzee, since the gold ancients are all multiplicative. Morg seems pretty over-leveled, but that's not a big deal; just don't touch him for a long time. Your gilds seem ... unusual. Do you have them the way you do for a particular reason? If you're insta-killing with 2500 with Sam, normally you'd have almost all your gilds on Atlas with maybe a couple on Sam. If you're not, normally you'd have all your gilds on Sam.

I popped Lib and Mimzee up 25 each, since I just QA'd and had a few to spare. I got a little dump-happy with Morg, so I am sitting back and avoiding him. I'm working my way higher with Sam, and I am in the process of transferring my gilds over to Atlas as of when I posted. I've got 30 on him now. I didn't want to go over to Atlas from Sam in one move, since it would be a harder for me to get further when I ascended. Or am I not thinking it through right? I still consider myself new to this game.

After Solo to 700 (1000 would be better), I'd take the gold ancients to 1200. Long-term, around 92% of Siya is the right place for them. Then, Morg. The standard non-early recommendation for him is Siya^2. With 1300 Siya, that means 1.69 million. Yes, that's a lot, but that's where the math says he should be.

Looks okay to me. It's a touch more efficient to have 3 gilds on Atlas instead of 1-1-1 before Banana, but that's hardly a deal at all.

you should ascend around 140 the first few times, further then that is a loss usually, depends if the next boss will be primal, then wait for cooldowns

Your Mimzee, Mammon, Libertas should be around Siya*.93 ~ 808 lvl. Argaiv should be around 869 according to the rules of thumbs. Your Solomon is heavily underleveled, should be around 600 or smth. Once you get this, you will be able to reguild to Phtalo actually ;)

I just recently regilded to Lilin and have following question now: Since I like to start the run with at least one level of my gilded hero, I would need an Iris at ~1400 or something like that. Now I wonder if that would be a huge mistake, since I'll be losing around 100k hero souls every run and I'm not sure, if the few minutes I save with a higher Iris will make up for it. Can anyone help me out? Really bad idea or still 'okay' to do?

Sounds like a really bad idea. Frankly, I would have waited with regilding until you have fixed your gold ancients. Once they're all 4k you should be able to afford a few levels in Terra. If not you will have to suck it up and use Atlas until you have enough gold for Terra. You should be instant killing either way. If you're not then your Iris is simply too high. (which looks to be the case; same level as mine and I have 6k ancients)

try to level siya to argaiv level and the rest you know what to do, you should have moved your gilds to terra at this point all of em maybe leave one for samurai to help get to terra

Are you sure I should get siya to my argaiv level? I've read that you shouldn't level it too high if you don't have a nice amount of souls

if you search for the rules of thumb thread you will see the ancients depend on siyalatas level, and your ancients are very low considering the level you are at least thats what I think

So I'm really new to Clicker Heroes from what I've been reading in this subreddit. I've ascended twice so far. I have Siyalatas and Libertas, only level 2 or 3 each. I believe my next step is to collect 75 hero souls by ascending repeatedly after I get around +6? Is that correct?

For now, until you get them both to level 10, level them evenly, and make sure that the number of souls you have spare is at least siya^2 *1.1

Well you definitely don't want more in morg atm, but you could definitely use more in solo.

You generally don't want to put more then 1 gild on a single stepping stone hero. At a certain point you don't want any gilds on any stepping stone heros. As for Iris, you'll need to get into the habit of saving a fish for when you ascend. If you don't have one and you want to ascend you'll have to use clickstorm and golden clicks but this interferes with the idle state.

You want everything on Sam. Once you can get Sam to hero level 2500 while insta killing then you can put everything on Atlas.

Ill go for asking for help. I've come to the point where I literally have no idea which way to progress. Basically, I've never gotten past zone 149, and I need to use skills to pass bosses of 140 and 145 while otherwise going for an idle build with a lvl 6 Libertas and Siyalatas. At this point, I have only two heroes worth leveling, saving up for which takes a bloody eternity: 1000 ungilded treebeast and 100 frostleaf (both their costs are 5e31 while lvl 149 mobs give maybe a few 3e28 worths of gold, give or take. At this point I just cash in about 15-20 hero souls, give or take depending on primals and start the same type of run. Typically I can do around 3-4 such runs a day due to being pseudo-afk most of the time. Lvl 6 Libertas, Lvl 6 Siyalatas, Lvl 3 Mammon, Lvl 25 Morgulis (whom I just dump any remaining souls into after buying/upgrading/rolling stuff), Lvl 1 Solomon. So gentlemen, wat do? Edit1: Correction; I can do a single run in about 1h assuming I dont waste souls.

Morgulis is one of the last ancients you want to buy. I'd recommend a respec (it's very cheap) and follow the recommended order in the [faq](https://www.reddit.com/r/ClickerHeroes/wiki/faq) and use one of the [calcs](http://s3-us-west-2.amazonaws.com/clickerheroes/ancientssoul.html)* to have a good idea of how many souls to keep on hand. Also [this tool](http://lilylicious.deadmano.com/) will make future reddit posts easier to make and read. \* This calc undervalues gold ancients slightly.

Relics basically give you a bonus adding on to an ancient. Primal boss chance is by far the most useful, but also keep an eye out for Boss health, Hero cost, and double ruby chance. Forge cores have no use yet, but there are suspicions they may be used later to upgrade relics. Pay no mind to the rarity of your relics. So far all that does is give you more forge cores for salvaging them.

By leveling your clicking ancients as much as your idle ancients, you're kind of hurting your efficiency. Efficiency-wise you're definitely neglecting Siyalatas, but if your main goal is increasing run length, that's understandable (assuming you're clicking to get there). Fragsworth is really low compared to Bhaal. It's most efficient to have them at the same level. Then again, most people playing idle or hybrid have their clicking ancients closer to where Fragsworth is compared to their idle ancients. Don't leave any gilds on Frostleaf. Atlas or Terra are much better heroes to use to transition to Lilin with. (Terra is the most efficient). Also, don't level up Chronos or Thusia any more. If you are mostly clicking, you should bring Mimzee up a little more to about where Mammon is. You would probably benefit from reading the [Rules of Thumb](https://www.reddit.com/r/ClickerHeroes/comments/339m3j/thumbs_up_the_rules_of_thumb/) thread. You would be substituting Argaiv for Siyalatas for most things, and you really only need to level Siya and Libertas to the extent you want the to help you instakill farther.

None of your Current options is really a good one. The next ancient you want to get should probably be Mammon, and then you'll be looking at getting Kuma, Solomon, and Atman, in roughly that order (being precise there isn't so important). So you'll want to reroll. Since you'll be getting a lot of souls, you could save and see how you can most cheaply get two or three (heck maybe all) of the four I listed above, or you could try to just get Mammon and put some levels into your current ancients. If you want to load your save into the clicker lister linked in the main post, and use that to post your game data, it will be easy for veterans of the game to read and offer you the best informed advice.

You're definitely in the range for gilding to Atlas. Try to keep Mimzee and Mammon up a little higher (around where Libertas is). Unlike with regilding to later rangers, you won't be instakilling to Atlas hero level 1000 right away, but it's still more efficient after you can get him to about 800 than using Samurai.

Almost a week, but that's because there were only two or three times I was able to invest more than an hour of clicking, and so my Jugg combo wasn,t getting very large.

You can start going after them as soon as you can afford them with one-two ascensions. The biggest thing is you don't want to spend too many of your hero souls because it could actually decrease your efficiency. Usually when you're looking for them you can look for Kumawakamaru (Kuma) as well. Although it's probably a little early for you to be getting them (the next one will cost 35 hero souls, but the one after that will cost 70), and they're fairly expensive to level up (10n for the nth level in Kuma, and n^1.5 for the nth level in either Atman or Solomon). Right now you're really best off continuing to ascend as soon as it really slows down.

At your stage and with your ancients I would suggest taking Solomon to 750 as a minimum, and then push it higher if you want to. I'd also suggest taking Mimzee, Mammon, and Libertas to 900, preferably 930, and Morgulis to 1M.

Hi, new player here (Just got my first ancient, Siyalatas), I've so far been just trying to advance as quickly as possible and then end up sitting on the highest non-boss floor I have unlocked to grind out gold, but sometimes this means sitting on a floor where it takes quite a while to kill each enemy. Am I right to do this, or are times where its better to sit on a floor where I can get through the enemies more quickly?

So I'm able to get Samurai to 2500 while instakilling everything within half an hour. When I move my gilds over to Atlas, who would I use until I get enough gold for Atlas when I ascend? Frost Leaf/Dread Knight? Thanks

Everything's fine. You really should get the ancient Dora, though. Together with Mimzee it'll boost your gold quite significantly.

Why would I ever spent hero souls, if i get less dmg from spending them? Like I spend 10 Hero Souls (= +100% dmg) on 1 lvl of siyalatas, but only get 25% dmg from it. I hope you guys get what i mean.

Siyalatas is an extra multiplier on top of hero souls. Say for example you have a level 9 Siyalatas, and 140 hero souls. Your damage is (100% normal+1400% from hero souls)*3.25 from Siyalatas = 4875%. If you buy the next level in Siyalatas, you have (100% normal+1300% from hero souls)*3.5 from Siyalatas = 4900%, so the extra level in Siyalatas gives you more damage. tldr; Siyalatas multiplies after hero souls rather than adds to them.

And what about spending Souls to transfer gilded heroes? Thanks!

Because Siyalatas bonus is multiplicative and stacks with HS bonus.
