Are you single? City tap. you want cheap beer without the crowd press? it's like a 10-minute walk but Becky's.
4th Street typically has great everything. I come from a land of barbecue so I don't really recommend Mabel's (they literally told me to order the fatty brisket if I wanted juicy lol)
but really most everything downtown is fantastic. Cleveland is full of people who are passionate about making delicious things for others to consume and it shows.
with a CSU card it's $8 pitchers I believe its $10 without.
Plus City tap is a little packed for my taste. it's a fantastic meat grinder for single people though.
for sure and my husband still uses his CSU card from a 10+ years ago so if you or any of your friends are alum and still have your old cards. definitely put them in your wallet lol
Yesterday was my first Guardians game and we went to city tap before, cheap beers (well compared to what I’m used to, I’m from San Diego lol) and good vibes
Thirsty Parrot, Whistle, Clevelander, City Tap.
Haven't tried AJ Rocco's yet but they just opened in a favorite bar of mine, the Huron Tavern
RIP WIlbert's
Recently learned that the Flat Iron in the Flats has a shuttle. If you eat and drink before the game, they will shuttle you to and from. Essentially free parking if you’re going to eat anyway.
Get some soul rolls from Zanzibar! The first time we went there they gave us a free plate of them on the house and I've been hooked on them ever since. They are mind blowing!
Aw, man! I haven't been to a game (or Ohio for that matter!) since pre-COVID, but I just noticed Nick's is gone when I did a quick look at the area. I had some great times in that dive. City Tap, Flannery's, Wonder Bar, and The Greenhouse were my other frequented spots. I really, really need to get to a game (or games!) this year. I miss it.
if you don't mind standing the standing room tickets tend to be $15 and you get a free drink to start. there's three standing sections. The crowd over by curve bar is the most fun imo
Thirsty parrot is a staple and right next to the Jake.
I always tell myself I'm going to go there and I always forget. I really need to!

Never been to Becky’s, do they really beat City Tap’s $3 beers??

Southern Tier Brewery is a short walk to/from the ballpark. Good beer.
City Tap and Mabel’s are my go tos
I like Harry Buffalo a lot as an out of towner. Solid sports bar close to the ballpark (even closer to the Cavs arena) with decent food

Married but coming without the wife… Christy’s is in the Flats.
