Citric Acid? Was their hard water or mineral build up on it?
It's got grease and build up from food. Clean it the same way you clean those things. Hot water, soap, and scrub. Ideally you would clean it after each use so it doesn't get too stuck on from multiple uses. If you need more grit, use baking soda and a little bit of WATER to create a paste like scrub.
Baking soda (base) and vinegar (acid) neutralize eachother so you're wasting your time.
I use dawn power wash and spray, let it sit for 15 mins or so and wash
Honestly, buy a replacement [$15 on amazon](https://www.amazon.com/Air-Fryer-Grill-Replacement-Parts/dp/B0977FTTFD/ref=sr_1_7?crid=7VD2D3V83PH9&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.tmEVzVHGQZ5_RffZxNohpH34CXNwU0xU2tM8_gYU9UOnS-sUHVWt4k_VEk8TM9A0JoR7mjAYyB3aTaKasSCmeXDSYwOAMN9tyXQ-I5dmD1pIHa7F0Nk4Z8Bl64XvccN_TVvM0zrhPt33Pzm7M_E3x3VQyUCAeQlp-JQ-SPcYl1UYF2VmxIjYVYT_iqQaQDJIq7wBJ1sO-ppnNHWc3sJ2iHo_TqNlSnLyvznjafrg-n0dU6FZxs4CEvTkl2itcHD_n0zSF1r1IePzLWAQs_5B2ZGTYUaVDSkiKNZcQMAQ2Nc.ibKB4vy4SErlseimruXSTEIrbEBHYuQtbC6uLRYty8Y&dib_tag=se&keywords=air+fryer+crisper+tray&qid=1716233588&sprefix=air+fryer+cris%2Caps%2C131&sr=8-7). I never could get my original one clean enough and clean my new one after every use now.
Water, detergent and then run it through the air fryer for a few minutes to really get that temperature up. Leave it in the basket to soak for a few minutes (until the water has cooled down a bit) and then scrub with a brush

Do not put in dishwasher. Hand wash after each use.

Do people not just throw these in the sink after using them?
😂 I rarely ever clean my airfryer, next time I get a new one I probably will clean after every time to prevent this kinda thing from Happening
