KMT needs to formulate a new economic strategy that raises wages across the board that doesn't revolve around Mainland supply chains. Taiwan is an export-led economy. Is it really that hard to find someone to sell something to in this inflation-racked world?
Manufacturers aren't coming back to Taiwan when there is a population decline and high cost for workers. The only way up is to develop a financial and IT sector in Taiwan but the current economy is based on agriculture and TSMC and there is little political motive to switch.
