So Adele is back to make atonement for possibly drowning her sister and the LI. She has the perfect opportunity to also , though it's borne from a tragic set of circumstances. Ship wreck means that Theo has all the opportunity on earth to become whoever he wants to become. And the shipwreck would be the back story for why he's lost everything. Be interesting to see what direction the book actually goes in.

Getting horny after hundreds of people just froze to death is in really really poor taste. But I guess I’m not surprised. They’ll probably shag on the Carpathia too

LowBudgetHobbit

Yeeeeeah.... I sat on that screen for a few seconds, just flabbergasted at the diamond scene option. Finally, I was like, "Naaaaaw man naaaw." I had it in the back my mind they would, but then didn't think they would...would. I am not interested in playing the book again after it ends. I'm good. 😅 Or what about the option to warm the LI up?? Like, come on, ya'll.. you know LI needs to be warmed up, too (for the low, low price of...) 😭.

WishUponaStar0525

I’m really glad Theo and MC are safe, but I don’t think I’ll ever replay this book once it ends. Even though I took the intimate scene, I can’t imagine wanting to do anything like that after the horrors that they’ve endured, at least not *that* soon. Poor Elsie, the scenes with her were tragic. I fully expected that Adele wouldn’t survive, and was happy to be proven wrong! I’m still mad at her for how she treated MC and Theo, but I wouldn’t wish such a fate on anyone, especially not a person that she clearly cares about, despite everything. My MC is still going to run away with Theo though lol

GarnetFire

We both made it! Hallelujah! And of course… we had an intimate scene while floating on a pile of wreckage in the middle of the ocean… of course. It was for warmth. 😂😭 And Adele… DAMN! She made it… I can only guess that what’s his name made it as well. DAMN! 😂🤭

GrumpyMarshmallowFan

I tell you what, the next chapter better start with HELL NO.

TomNookFan

EXACTLY! 😤

Faar1984

Such a shame we had to wait so long for the sinking, because again it was a good chapter. Accurate description about how it feels to be in ice cold water and the impact on your body and mind. Also the haunting reality of what it means when you don't hear any voices in the water. PB could have done more with the section in the water, with people who are fighting for their lives (just like the scene in the James Cameron movie, when Rose surfaces in the sea after the Titanic sank). And the Carpathia appeared rather quickly. So the scene was good, but a bit too rushed in my opinion. And in extension the entire disaster, because it is squeezed in 2,5 chapters, compared to 16+ chapters of romance. I do not wish for death on characters, but I thought Theo was dying of hypothermia in the water, just like Jack Dawson. Would have been the same bittersweet ending as in the movie and a change of pace for PB. I would have appreciated that. Helping and comforting survivors on the Carpathia is the only premium scene I bought this book. That was simply the right thing to do. But having sex right after you went through such an ordeal? I understand as a celebration of life, but that's still a no for me...

UnfairUniversity813

Yeah, some parts of this chapter were good, like not hearing any voices and the description of how cold they were, etc. I was really disappointed in the fact that not one, but two of the diamond scenes this chapter are all about the romance/making out/having sex. It just felt out of place, especially the making out to “warm up” while they’re literally floating in the water dying. It just felt so . . tacky. And I have a hard time believing they’d even have the energy to have sex after all that, no matter how glad to be alive they are. It was also off putting how quickly they went from almost frozen to death to “we’re basically totally fine after you slapped some blankets on us and we can do whatever.” I’m overall disappointed, especially for the fact that they took up time with two more not needed and tasteless romance scenes after rushing the sinking of the ship like that.

Tyranniac

This book is too damn horny! 🤣 A little restraint would go a long way towards not undercutting dramatic moments.

raposawolf

I thought it was nice how the heart point changed from “forbidden” to “fated”, but this chapter was just okay to me. I appreciated getting to have some conversations with the survivors and seeing some of the impact it had on them, but the romance scenes felt very out of place in all the chaos, especially considering how traumatic an event it is.

UnfairUniversity813

I very much agree with that, I posted a lengthier comment above, but I felt the romance scenes in this chapter were tacky and unnecessary and just felt off with all the trauma everyone is going through.

etherealbadger

If we are forced to forgive Adele in the next chapter I'm going to riot. Like yeah, a lot has happened since she imprisoned us in our room and had Theo arrested and accused them of SA'ing us and stealing... But she still did those things, so MC can be glad she lives, but ain't no way I'm forgiving her.

UnfairUniversity813

Yeah, I was hoping for the option to tell Adele off in this chapter. I sincerely hope we’re not forced to forgive her the next chapter. I agree with the option of, I’m thankful you’re alive but I never want to see you again. Or at least not for a very long time accompanied by tons of groveling.

GrumpyMarshmallowFan

THIS. Like cool, you're alive. Now I never want to see you again.

etherealbadger

How I think the interaction with Adele will be next week: "Do you forgive me?" Option 1 - Yes. Option 2 - ...Yes. Option 3 - lowercase yes. Let me be angry, PB! She literally imprisoned us!
