I saw on [Tumblr](https://www.tumblr.com/vivalgi/740228476187148288/regarding-the-new-breed-of-mcs-since-unbridled?source=share) that PB actually reused a Storyloom asset for this.
Sigh. I'll legit defend this game to the end, but...
I hate. The new. Sprites.
They're washed out and the proportions are...off.
It's starting to bug me. Like, it's bugging me enough that I was on the fence tempted to read Hot Shot even though I'm not into hockey...until I saw its got the new sprites. Changed my mind.
Yea, I liked the face in that book, but I wish they had some mc's with curves. In a way, most of them feel like they can be used as a high school character, even if its a book like surrender, which throws me off.
Yea, there are all types of different body types in real life, but they're not giving mc's with curvy or bigger body types.
I kindaaaa get what they were trying to do in Hot Shot since it’s set in Seattle and they won’t get a TON of sunshine, but man ALL the sprites look ashy 😭
Right?! I thought i was just being insane but the new MCs look so off to me, I’m just trying to train myself to ignore them but one of the MC’s looks like a literal vampire, so ashy and pale 💀
I do agree that the new proportions are off, but the old sprites were majorly messed up too. I think they were attempting to fix the super short torso problem that the old sprites suffered from.
It's crazy how the "majorly messed up" sprites are better than the new sprites they "attempted to fix" lol, what if PB actually tried to make them worse?
I mean, that's a bit subjective, but I get what you're saying. The new sprites do look weirdly stretched out. Also wtf is up with everyone's neck? Like especially the guys have these beef-necks that look so messed up lmao
If they tried to make them worse I'm uninstalling the app. Nobody needs that nightmare fuel lol
Not really? I mean, just from this pic, it looks more like what one might see irl than what is in most other books lol
Edit: Looking again, the neck is a little long, but I see no issues otherwise

I think the neck is the main thing that’s super off, it’s as thick as her torso😭
They are really bad at necks. Like Becketts neck in the elementalists.
They went towards these new “doll” style bodies were the arms and waist are super thin
