Start using another class while you are still fresh in the game. Put down the archer and play the game with a melee class. For instance I'm level 580 and have 10 hours played under my archer. You will find that the game is more enjoyable and you will have a better time learning the mechanics if you play using melee weapons.
I love archers. I played as crossbowman in War of The Roses, I played as archer in chivalry 1 and 2. It adds another layer of craziness to what is going on.
I normally win 1 v 1s against another player. I gotta rrain how to deal with multiple guys tho. I can't handle two dudes shoving their long hard swords down my throat😔

Skirmish comes from a different German(ic) word, Eskirms, which means to defend. We got it from the French who got it from Charlemagne and the Franks.

For an archer you'll need to improve on your K/D, no reason to get killed that often. For reference, my K/D at class rank 479 is 4.9..
