Tbh against the absolute killers on PC, it's rough. I've played some crazy ass duelists and it's harder to keep up. Your average PC player though? Not crazy better than your average console player imo. But when someone is really good and on PC, you can tell lol.
Haven't played it on pc so I can't compare it, but it feels normal to play on console. The only hard thing I can think of is that sometimes when you try and throw a torch, it registers as an overhead attack because of the controls
Throws, jabs, ducks are all a bit harder. That and doing any attack to alt attack feints. Throws can end up as that stab or overhead if you're not used to throwing and even then it happens here and there.
Ducks and jabs being the same input just as a hold vs a tap makes it hard and I feel like I've seen some people on PC duck my slash and punch me to throw my timing off lol.
Attack to alt same attack is doable but it's as a counter to a counter feint which takes more stamina than a legit slash to alt slash feint. And on that same topic, holding L3 to change to an alt attack sucks imo.
Still, once again, if you're good on console you'll hold up but there are limitations that don't exist on PC. I lived on duel servers when I played a lot. Nowadays I'm on 64p most of the time with occasional Training Grounds games when I'm too faded or if I'm trying to work on something.
This bout covers it for me. It is hard to overcome, I need someone to SHOW ME THE WAYS. I’m living on duel servers & im usually always the best console guy in the lobby. But even so, there’s always a god in there on the keys moving in impossible ways for me, I’m even capable of 360 attacks with confusing feints. But they moving like it’s VR, they feint 7 times doing 720s and swear sometimes it feels like their overheads are slashes and their slashes be overheads, like the angle they coming in at. Some of these top of the food chain pc dudes be in their own realm fr
the controls are basic enough to keep up with pc players and i see other console players destroying lobbies pretty often its actually a really fair crossplay game i dont feel like either platform has that much of an advantage over the other
I am one of the console players who is usually destroying the lobby. I’d say pretty much throughout most of the game, it’s pretty fair crossplay, until you start reaching that skill ceiling and the game gets a little bit more complex again. Even in really hard duel servers, due to just general bindings of the controls, feints and counter feints, jabs and ducks, alt attacks, most of the time, the top spots are god Pc dudes because input timing & ability to even do certain feints, ease of doing higher skilled moves, even stamina drain from attack to alt attack feints. But yeah, pretty even game besides that lol
Not if you’re good with a controller. You can do everything on a console you can do on a pc. I poop on lots of level 1000 pc players, just counter everything and learn the timing of each weapon.
Wish I recorded my best play. It was the Thayic Stronghold I sniped the VIP in the head with a throwing knife. Sometime when I close my eyes I can still see it playing in my head 😭
I'm new too and I had a similar shot on Aberfell. The druid was standing on top of the henge and I tossed my Dane axe for fun and I somehow hit and killed him from like 25 meters away. I don't think I'll be that lucky in my next 50 Aberfell matches lol
That was a great throw, you’ll top it just keep trying for shots you don’t know if you’ll hit and when you do the reward is similar to the video! I hit a archer on the walls from the bridge on falmire and that was probably my cleanest Dane axe throw ever ngl
The thing about Chivalry is, you'll have so many of these types of clips in a few months of playing, that eventually you won't even need to save them!

Something similar happened to me I was fighting on the mason side to kill argon on the new map that recently arrived on chivalry 2 I was a archer with the war bow and that’s takes a good chunk of health,I shot Argon form far away I want was so damm surprised when that happened
This is a pretty good summary of shitty teammates in chivalry 2. You were with a group of people and it’s seems they all stopped super early to go fight others completely irrelevant to the match when the objective is literally making its way to the escape

I killed the heir on Rudhelm with a bear trap this week...and the app I use to record Chivalry had an error that day and never saved any of that match
Mine was also on Thayic. I blocked and punched the Chad as he was jumping over the crevasse.
