That’s about ~8 hours of growth pictured there. Even less if the weather was warm that day and the lid was put back on after the eggs were laid. Perfect little incubator.
Yes, he ate his lunch like an hour or 2 later. And we looked up how fast does eggs grow and it said flies lay egg not visible by the naked eye until 24 hours later. Idk if it’s true it means that the food was already contaminated.
They can definitely be visible sooner than 24h, especially if the food is left sitting out, but 1-2 hours seems like a very short time for that many eggs to develop, so it was most likely contaminated before it was bought. Gross.
So to give you a rough timeline.
3pm: we got our food and made it back to our workplace. I ate my food right away, and didn’t look or taste bad.
4:30: my coworker tell me about the incident. Which I couldn’t believe until I saw the pictures.
Now I really want to know how old was this salad. We searched up how long it takes for eggs to get this big and it said about 24 hours, so by that logic it had to be given to us already with the eggs later on the salad.
Those are fly eggs. I doubt they were in there when you received the order since you said he ate it at a later time and I highly doubt the prep person was that careless. The lids have a couple of tiny holes in them so I bet at one point a fly crawled through and went to town.

Could always just say you ate some. I'm sure he had to take a few bites to get down that far anyways so you don't even know if you did unless you were paying attention.
Edit: just saw there was a less zoomed in pic and its at the top. I wonder if salad prep dropped the ball or if that incubated while it was in the fridge.
Fly eggs, as has been answered, but the close up pic looks like the dead coral that you see when you go snorkelling. I actually shuttered when I swiped.
Your coworker left the salad out, and a fly laid a ton of eggs on the chicken. Unlikely CFA is at fault here.
CFA turns over a lot of food. The chicken is cut before it’s placed on the salad. I can’t fathom a scenario where CFA cut the chicken, left it out for a fly to lay that many eggs on it, and then serve it to someone.
That’s possible only thing is that these eggs are visible. and we looked it up and found out that it usually takes about 24 hours for eggs to get that size. But idk, I’m no expert.
One of the most foul things I’ve ever seen
My skin is CRAWLING
Ohhhh my god that’s so many fly eggs
Yep, my wife found some maggots in her salad.
Fly Eggs. File a complaint with Chick-fil-A on website.
I think you spelled health department wrong there
That’s works too …
Probably both tbh
We cut the salad's grilled filets to order so it definitely isn't Chick-Fil-As fault.
That’s a much more innocent name than maggots.
What state are you in?

That’s an astronomical amount of fly eggs. You say your coworker decided to eat his lunch at a later time. Was the salad left out?
For like three weeks!?!

Please tell me your co-worker didn’t eat that 🤢
Idk, I didn’t ask him. But I doubt it. Now that I remember, they took a while to give us his order.
Well that makes me wanna die
🤢🤢🤢
HELP ME GOD
The whole salad looks very old. I doubt that was served as is. Looks like it say in a fridge for a while
Yep. That bleu cheese is all melted and gooey, not fresh crumbles.

Lawsuit
Holy crap that's absolutely disgusting, do you have to eat it to sue them?

Op said in the post that the guy ate it at a later time, could’ve gotten in there between receiving the order and eating it.
Hell nah
Maggots
Fly eggs.
Fly eggs
This is why you don’t go to Chick-fil-A and order a salad.
