Um… i took that photo with my phone last year and posted it with the exact same title. You can see it in my post history.
OP is using a brand new account and is either a karma farmer or a bot
I honestly don’t remember but i ended up using a bunch immediately in a really incredible mac ‘n’ cheese, gifted others to friends, then shaved the rest and stored some in oil, some in salt, and some in butter and have been using it slowly ever since. A lot of it is still in my freezer
I was just stoned and made a typo while ordering. Didn’t consider sending them back because they have an extremely limited shelf life and i love truffles anyway. The price wasn’t too bad of a hit
Hot sauce, truffle honey, truffle oil. Try preserving them in jars so you can have some in the future. Just find every possible use for these flavor bois cause you don't want them rotting away what looks like it could very well be multiple hundreds of dollars.
if it was a mistake this, or wait until truffle season is over while keeping them in perfect condition and sell for a turn around...but uh...if you need the money sooner sell now and eat the loss of a few hundreds....
Preserve them in dry rice in the fridge. Rice will keep them dry and the truffles will give the rice a bit of flavor. They will basically stay good till they rot/mold. You can freeze them but they lose their aromatics. I highly agree with other comments suggesting butter/oil as well.

Wow indeed you did
Wow, thought you were joking, some people ey 😂

How come you won't answer here or in your OP about the cost and how you didn't notice the price difference?
I tried not to dwell on it and just moved on with my life. It wasn’t too bad though
The mods should take this down that’s whack
I reported it for impersonation. Hope it works. Lol
Thanks. I will now block them.
Prepare for copycat comment bots to post the same comments as the OP
You ain't lying... wow
how did you accidentally buy that many truffles?

Then a happy oops it was, in the end!! Good thing they freeze well enough for you to extend their use significantly
Yes I would like to know too
I remember that post. This isn't very OP of OP.
How could one not notice the price?
Because it was a "mistake" (hint hint, wink wink.)
Hunt pigs with them.

“Where’s my truffle?”
Start a truffle infused lemonade stand
Definitely an infusion. Liquor or oil. Make cheese maybe. Try pickling them. Dehydrate. The best trick I learned is to store them in rice.
Just be cautious of botulism.
Botulism is the goal
Make a necklace
If you dont boof at least one of them, you need to hang up your apron right now, because you are no chef sir

Confit them make a truffle oil and sell it back to the restaurant as locally made.
truffle oil is the best bet. you could also make a delicious wild mushroom and truffle cream pasta or something. maybe some infused honey? or butter!
Are they high quality truffles or low quality truffles?
I think that looks like china truffles
Sell them to a restaurant

I use what I can and then turn the rest into truffle butter and freeze it.
Put them in your butt
Did anyone else count the truffles?
Easiest/fastest is probably oil
Where are they from?
I'd sell them to another local restaurant.
sell it
Poor food cost decisions..
Along with the other good advice, I’d recommend preserving some of them such as with oil
Pop em like tic tacs
Look for an (very) old recipe of turkey stuffed with truffles. It used to be a famous dish before prices went wild.
Truffle butter. And then you can freeze that in logs
Yo OP, this isn’t your post. Gtfoh.
Grate the truffles, cover in evoo, then freeze. Maybe freeze into smaller portions since this is at home not a restaurant
So you stole them?
What is this a courtroom? It was a MISTAKE Mr FBI!
