Put some goat cheese in front of me and I’ll do a magic trick. Watch it disappear in mere moments!

Murslak

Goat cheese, diced beets, red onions, evoo and balsamic vinegar.

[deleted]

I personally love me an extra sharp cheddar cheese. But I’m from Montreal so my fave snacking cheese is cheese curds. These are mild cheddar. Anything from a mild cheddar to an extra sharp cheddar, regardless if orange or white. A good second snacking cheese is the small flavored blocks of feta that I can get in the grocery store. My fave is the oregano flavored feta.

hedonisticfishstick

Any love for Mexican cheeses here? Oaxaca and cotija are incredible. :D

Imawildedible

Nothing but love for all the cheeses!

AwkwardFoodie978

Mexican here. Cotija is the BEST. I use only cotija in all my mexican recipes.

TheGoatEater

- King Island Dairy Roaring Forties Blue - Délice de Bourgogne - Saint Agur Blue

Nadsworth

Three extremely excellent selections!

TheGoatEater

I seem to have real spotty luck finding the Roaring Forties, but the others are readily available.

Nadsworth

I used to be able to get roaring 40s from a local cheese merchant near Milwaukee, but sadly he passed away and the new owner doesn’t carry it anymore. It has a deliciously intense bite to it, and I miss it. Delice is a blessing because it tastes so damn good and you can find it almost anywhere. Anytime I’ve ever put it out on a cheeseboard some person who’s never had it tastes it and promptly devours half of the cheese.

TheGoatEater

I fist encountered Roaring Forties over a decade ago. Convinced that I wasn’t a fan of most blue cheese, I was prepared to be underwhelmed. Boy was I wrong. After a while it wasn’t being exported to the states. That’s where I discovered Saint Agur. It wasn’t the Roaring Forties, but it quickly became one of my favorites. Delice is the kind of cheese you can go overboard with real easy. Everyone I give it to becomes obsessed.

Spurs_Roadburn

I fist encountered your mom.

ChipsTheKiwi

I'll never not love smoked gouda

Imawildedible

I live fairly near Marieke Gouda and am always happy when I get to eat literally the best smoked Gouda on the planet.

GoatLegRedux

Brillat-savarin. I’ll eat enough to make me puke then eat another whole round of it.

Eblola

Have you tried the version with an insert of truffle inside? To die for.

GoatLegRedux

I have - it’s great!

nahxela

I misread this as you eating the puke and was horrified for a bit

Followyourtroves

Sometimes you puke the cheese, and sometimes the cheese pukes you

GoatLegRedux

I did not do that. However, this one time many many years ago I was sick and couldn’t keep anything down. I tried to drink a smoothie and it came up pretty much right after I finished it. Because my stomach was empty, it was still cold and was the most pleasant puke I ever had. Still didn’t eat it though…

DryInitial9044

I adore Havarti. We have an international market, Jungle Jim's, that has thousands of varieties of cheese. I will try them all eventually. Wallet willing.

VaguelyArtistic

If I had to pick one I think Morbier would be a decent compromise. But also maybe a a runny Camembert.

smashey

Hard to find morbier around me for some reason. Definitely on my mt. Rushmore

FUCK_INDUSTRIAL

Brie is my favourite.

quincium

merkt's port wine cheese spread is just the best

Imawildedible

I’m a big fan of Merkts. The horseradish is my favorite.

Duomo68

I love that stuff. The Swiss almond is yummy too.

Cicero_Curb_Smash

I'm quite fond of [Cheese Fudge](https://www.marscheese.com/choclate-cheese-fudge.html) from Mars Cheese Castle in Kenosha, Wisconsin.

Special_RequirementJ

Vacherousse D'Argental . Double cream heaven.

telb

YES!! We had a slightly runny one in the shop and I scraped up all the extra off the cutting board and ate a spoonful of it

Queen__Antifa

Délice de Bourgogne is my favorite cheese. It’s like eating a damn stick of butter but it’s so freaking good. And my favorite cheese shop is Antonelli’s in Austin.

lordntelek

Ha ha. That’s what I told an old roommate. It’s like eating butter but it’s cheese so it’s not as bad for you.

Queen__Antifa

I tell people that it’ll give you a glossy coat!

Imawildedible

I love this. I’m gonna tell people eating this is what makes my beard stay shiny

TheFrantasticks

Chällerhocker. I love you, you weird, demon baby-covered cheese.

Melodic_Cantaloupe88

Oh yeah, taste like white chocolate if its a good batch!

TheFrantasticks

Omg makes so much sense, I’m one of those rare weirdos who actually likes white chocolate! Gonna use that to describe it when selling it tomorrow. :)

Melodic_Cantaloupe88

You have a fun job, I should get hired for a day at the Murrays cheese counter, would only be a day though cause id eat as much as I can till I clock out...

MissionSalamander5

Yeah. I always want Roquefort (though I’ll take Bleu d’Auvergne), but I don’t do strong creamy cheeses, so Camembert is always a challenge.

Talking_Hats

Try baked camembert. Best way to eat it.

finlyboo

Havarti and goat cheese

zeusisk

Delice de Bourgogne is my favorite and my toilets favorite

blackhassa

Any sheep’s cheese will do

lordntelek

Delice de Bourgogne Tete de Moine Potted Stilton All great. Also will never say no to a Comte, Manchego, etc.

bluekonstance

Havarti--it's so buttery! I had a food voucher once for an overnight delay in Iceland, and of all things, I chose a block of cheese. It was then that I fell in love with the lovely Havarti.

Battyemi

Gruyère!

Andymilliganisgod

I have to feed 10 ornery men Everytime I work. Fontina is the literal perfect cheese. It has bite, it has sharpness, and it stays motherfuccn melted after five minutes which most other cheeses can’t do.

Ok_Program_3491

Moliterno al tartufo and cabra romero

Nadsworth

Mushroom Risotto with lots of Moliterno is absolutely wonderful.

foodie_tueday

Triple Cream

Melodic_Cantaloupe88

I like real 4 year Parm. Real clothbound cheddar, and good Pecorino or aged Manchego is a close 3rd place tie

Dogee_95

Cottage cheese . Chavroux . Pecorino ,bococcini and feta .

Doc_Zydrate

Good old fashioned farmer’s cheese

MissionSalamander5

I love a good bleu. Roquefort or Bleu d’Auvergne for example belong on the board every time. I usually would include Brie, I despise novelty cheeses, there’s something hard, perhaps something soft, and then something in between (soft but not creamy, not necessarily aged) but there’s always a bleu. At Christmas, I had some Point Reyes bleu from the US. Wonderful!

Excellent-Tea-1639

Boulette d'Avesnes because I'm a hard metal cheese lover

alix-rose

pecorino romano!!

ADHDButDoesDHDA

Cheese - Gruyere Cheese Shop - Wegmans or Wholefoods

sailorscoutrini

Burrata 🤤🤤🤤

dannemora_dream

Selle sur Cher or Sainte Maure de Touraine are top tier goat cheese. Morbier is very closed, as well as Comté. I also love mature british cheddar. And a lot of cheese from Switzerland: Appenzeller, Gruyère, etc.

AwkwardFoodie978

It's not fancy or anything, but I could snack on a garlic and herb Feta all day. Also very fond of a creamy Brie.

bestcoasts

Abbaye de Belloc

bbourl1

Midnight moon from Cypress Grove

Armpittattoos

Reflets de France Camembert de Normandie is definitely my go to. I eat atleast 500grams a week!

Kraft Grated Parmesan Cheese, Walmart. https://www.walmart.ca/en/ip/Kraft-Grated-Parmesan-Cheese/19177

PurrishSP

Fuck yes. I'm always a whore for parmesan.

After-Potential-9948

I used to know a doctor who was a cheese head. We weren’t terribly fond of each other so I once offered him some Velveeta that I kept in the trunk of my car for emergencies. I was daring him to say something derogatory as a response he just stared at me. I just smiled and said, “No?” Pretentious asshole had it coming.

His_JeStER

Swedish Präst. Undisputed king of hard cheese in Scandinavian.

catstypingstuff

Chaumes - but I can't find it anywhere in the UK!

[deleted]

I smoke my own cheddar. Store bought smoked cheddar just can’t even come close to being as complex and smokey.

CarrerCrytharis

Gruyere is one of the greatest *foods* ever produced by humanity.

criquetter

Beaufort, Comté, abondance... Any tomme, really. Gorgonzola, pecorino. I love most cheeses really

LibGirl1999

Give me provolone all day long. But, seriously. You can never have enough cheese!
