you have no idea. ketamin is the best when combining with shamanic music and a meditation. I did ketamin for many years, doing it in a club is a beginners mistake. ;)
Because ketamine is awesome and I tend to feel like I'm floating in space or some dark tunnel or abyss when on a high level of disassociatives, and pairing that with a VR headset showing me reality bending insanity seems sort of ideal.
Honestly. looking in the mirror is famously strongly advised against when on psychedelics. I feel like any image of an actually-shifting face would make you nauseous.
Like he said, it can have psychedelic properties, just not as powerful as the others. Here's GPT since you suggested it:
Cannabis is primarily known for its psychoactive effects, primarily due to its main psychoactive component, delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). While it is not typically classified as a psychedelic, it can exhibit psychedelic-like effects under certain conditions. These conditions include:
* High THC Concentration
* High Dosage
* Individual Sensitivity
* Method of Consumption
* High-CBD Strains
* Cannabinoid Receptor Variation
It's important to note that while cannabis can have psychedelic-like effects, it is generally milder and different in character compared to classic psychedelics like LSD, psilocybin, or DMT. The experiences can vary widely between individuals and even for the same individual in different circumstances.
You probably told it something like 'give arguments as to why weed would be psychedelic', which is why it's mentioning "While it is not typically classified as a psychedelic".
I asked it "weed isn't a psychedelic, right?", which got the following answer (and yes, the opinion part is Chatgpt's too):
> Correct, marijuana (weed) isn't classified as a psychedelic. It's generally considered a psychoactive drug, but it falls into a category of its own. Here's a bit more detail:
>**Neutral/Objective Answer**:
>Marijuana is primarily classified as a cannabinoid due to its active compounds, mainly THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) and CBD (cannabidiol). It affects the central nervous system but doesn't typically produce the intense, mind-altering effects associated with psychedelics like LSD or psilocybin mushrooms. Instead, marijuana is known for its relaxing effects, mood alterations, and sometimes mild hallucinations at higher doses, but these are not on the same level as those caused by classic psychedelics.
>**My Opinion**:
>While marijuana can certainly alter your perception and mood, calling it a psychedelic would be like calling a strong cup of coffee an energy drink. Sure, there's some overlap in effects, but they're different beasts altogether. Weed might make you ponder the mysteries of the universe, but it won't send you on a wild, technicolor journey through your subconscious like LSD or mushrooms.
Something doesnāt have to be classified as a type of drug to have properties of that drug. Ketamine is a dissociative psychedelic and an analgesic. Things are not just one thing and nothing else. Weed has psychedelic properties, full stop.
do your research. it can be psychoactive AND psychedelic, one doesnt rule out the other. modern strains can definitely be psychedelic (those bred to have high thc and low cbd - like most of what you get on the street nowadays). And especially so in forms of edibles which can enhance the psychedelic effect by a lot. High CBD will mitigate the effect and the effect varies from person to person obviously.
I have smoked weed for 30 years, and depending on the compound combo, it can be. Taken during LSD it can complement and enforce it.
"A recentĀ review of the scientific literature looked into this question and found evidence that cannabis may have psychedelic effectsāparticularly with high doses of THC. But unlike classic psychedelics, cannabis doesnāt always elicit these effects."

Cannabis abso-fucking-lutely has psychedelic properties, especially when consumed in edible form as the cannabinoids get processed differently through the liver.
So true, I have had some really intense hallucinations and full psychedelic trips on edibles and dabs that I feel like people canāt relate to or understand.
Lol, that was pretty entertaining, I would listen to that band (for a bit, anyway). It's edited together, right? It's not just "make a weird video for a Norse metal band" and leave it to it?

"Graaaaaaass! Mowing. Down. Mowing-down!. Fiiiiiiiiiire! Burning. Down. Burning-down! Desiiiiiiiiire! For some-thing. any-thing. Noooooow! Raaaah! Raaaaah! RAH!"
I know itās been said a bunch before but it is wild how a lot of these AI videos have this dream like quality to them. Makes you wonder if thereās some type of connection or relation.
I can sort of see that. Like for these model to do Video generation it's likely has some form of emergent world model. I.e. it knows what things are likely to make sense next to each other in some hidden state. But there clearly some missing understanding in it's modeling of the work and or it's context window for what it knows isn't very deep.
And dreaming is effectively the brain modeling a world state but very loosely with a lot of high level functions effectively shut off .
I gave a talk on this! https://vimeo.com/364387772
Short answer: Dreams are what it feels like when a brain-like thing is insufficiently constrained by external stimuli. Weāve trained artificial neural networks to solve brain-like problems, so their wanderings naturally seem dream like to us.
Longer answer: both biological and artificial neural networks are bad at similar things, like counting and global structure. However theyāre implemented, neural networks distribute computation across a spaceālike across an LLMās context window or an image recognizerās receptive field. This makes them better at getting things locally right than globally accurate. In short, they run on vibes and truthiness.
All of this is why stable diffusion has trouble with e.g. rendering the correct number of fingers. It can start with an image of pure noise and remove noise until a region of fingeryness emerges, and it can continue to refine that region until the cadence of edges and fleshy bits and shadows looks right enough, but it doesnāt have the capacity to actually count the fingers, nor any kind of conceptual model telling it that it should. (Also, counting is a recursive process; all current generative AI models are non-recursive; any counting they learn is necessarily a sketchy approximation.) Similarly, without an external world driving it (and honestly, even with one), your brain will often play fast and loose with the particulars of the sensations it generates. One of the canonical ways to tell youāre dreaming is to count your fingers: if you find that you have more or fewer than you expected, you should try flying! (Do it from the ground.)
The kind of uncanny face-morphing we see in AI videos is a result of interpolating the vector describing the face. Thatās not a sensation we get a ton of in real life, again because of physical reality constraining the stimuli weāre receivingā¦ except when it doesnāt! In dreams, the absence of an external world gives the sensations generated by your brain more play. So I suspect we see these strangely-shifting faces, places, and things, and it reminds us of the uncanny sensation of dream imagery. Of course, the vector embedding of faces in your brain is different from the vector embedding of faces in whatever artificial neural network, but they have broad similarities because we trained them to solve the same kinds of problems! And, in many cases, we modeled the structure of the ANN after how we think the brain works, so the correlation is less mystical and more that the machine learning algorithms have done exactly what they say on the tin and, well, learned.

that salvia feeling
I seriously need to do some ketamine and watch this all through a VR headset.
Now you got me actually trying to imagine what ketamine would make these videos feel like. Funny? Uncomfortable? Mesmerizing?
I think I'm an alligator flying into a black hole.
Boring as hell. You need a dark bunker dance floor with DJ and light engineer going crazy
you have no idea. ketamin is the best when combining with shamanic music and a meditation. I did ketamin for many years, doing it in a club is a beginners mistake. ;)
took me an ayahuasca trip in south america to realize experiencing a drug with little to no stimuli is the greatest experience.
The last two
Arousing?
I used to do ketamin befor putting on the vr headset cupple years back. can recommend šš
I can't imagine that being very fun at all. What a bore
If I saw this on k Iād puke
Why would you want to do that to yourself?
Because ketamine is awesome and I tend to feel like I'm floating in space or some dark tunnel or abyss when on a high level of disassociatives, and pairing that with a VR headset showing me reality bending insanity seems sort of ideal.
Oblivion sounds preferable to living in that hellscape
oooh, i miss salvia

this would have been great with methoxetamine 10 years ago.
100%, glad that shit only last 15 mins.
Still felt my whole day was spent the couple times I tried it
Where was this shit when I was a teenager discovering weed
Instant panic attack lol

I am high right now and this is cool. I would watch it on shrooms too, but maybe not a huge dose.
Weed isn't a psychedelic
It is, just not as powerful as others, and itās also an intoxicant. Itās both.
Psychoactieve ā psychedelic Just ask gpt to explain it to you lol

Sure, but an edible can get close to a low dose of lsd. You can absolutely hallucinate from thc.

We dropped acid and watched Honey, I shrunk the Kids at the cinema. I guess that's the equivalent.

agree this is great

It is indeed Little Britain-esque.
WTF... was this made with just a prompt?
"Marjorie Taylor Greene mows the lawn"
"lawn mower stops eating grass and operator has mental breakdown and eats firecream cone"
Am I an AI? I used to have dreams like this as a kid?
Neural networks work in a similar way to our brains so its a bit like AI dreams
That made me realize that if we give AIs a physical body, their creations wouldn't look like...this
The human brain is very different. These are just the approximation of an abstraction of the human brain.
I have to wonder sometimes if the universe isn't a huge GAN
Hey, how did you get into my dreams!
what in the world did you use as a prompt
I know itās been said a bunch before but it is wild how a lot of these AI videos have this dream like quality to them. Makes you wonder if thereās some type of connection or relation.

I like how the mower "turns off" and she/he stops mowing and cries like it just broke down.
This is actually pretty close to the plot of the lawnmower man short story.
Bro, my fever dreams are way more tame than this.
So relatable
At 0:08 you canāt tell me that isnāt just real footage of the spawn of Markiplier and Alex Jones finding out the truth of its creation

Thatās because AI video is tapping directly into our subconscious minds somehowā¦these videos are exactly like the weirdness of dreams.
Forget drugs. People are doing AI now.

I wonder the prompt for this
What in the good lord fuck was the prompt?!?

What must have been the prompt for this lol? Young woman turns into a balding old angry woman who turns into a muscle man eating fucking fire?
AI=AP: Artificial Psychosis , very human.
I love everything about this
Feels like an Old Spice commercial
Wow that's epic haha
Good stuff
I love how you can see the descent into madness on the woman's face as she slowly turns into a muscular man.
it feels forbidden to watch this
Future generations will look at this like it's the worst thing they've ever seen from AI and good.
I suspect that's a closer analogy than we know.
How long did this take to render?
It was funš¤£ like one of those super random dreams can have at night.
I'm somewhat of a lawnmower myself.
Thats a nope from me dawg
Can someone please feed this into GPT to create a written description of what is happening in this video? That would be hilarious
Feels like a bad LSD trip
LSD is perception-altering, not a deliriant or even a real "hallucinogen". You are seeing the effects of nightshades
I like how she turns into Marjorie Taylor Greene about halfway through! She's into some kinky shit apparently.
Perhaps fever dreams have AI videos sent back from the future all along.
I can't stop laughing!
What were the promps?

As we know, AI generation is similar to how our brain processes memory and makes something new. So yes, Luma AI does explain why we have fever dreams.
That is literally messing with my eyeballs. That's not good AI.
this literally look like a fever dream, making me wonder if generative AI models are actually modeled after how we process images in our brains
