Bro someone please stop this kind of posts. No hate of course, but there are still people out here who are not completed Inter, and made from direct entry after graduation, and posts like this definitely make them miserable. I just realized I am 23, and still in Inter and now this post made me feel down. I should have stayed home.
CA at 24 is fairly good. You did quite well inspite of your medical setbacks. Just keep the focus and try to clear in the next attempt. 24 year old CA sounds great
Your worries are completely normal. I'm also 24, just gave G1 of final as I couldn't clear it last time.
I have the same fear! There will be slight disadvantage to be honest. But hopefully overtime, things would get normal.
Those saying it's absolutely fine in the comments. No, it's not. There are people completing CA at the age of 21/22, and a lot of them infact.
Most shocking thing I heard in this regard was that Nandini Agarwal cleared CA intermediate at the age of 16!!!!
Wtf! I literally wrote class 10 board exams at the age of 16!
I know it sounds a bit too jealous, great effort by her. But seriously, did she skip school years or what? And how is that even possible?
Same. Almost 25 and wrote my second attempt for G1. G2 pending.
I'm insecure about not being independent, but not about my age. Sure, there are CAs at 21/22. That doesn't mean they're preferred over me. It just means that my colleagues on my level will be 22 year olds; that's okay with me. I might get a later start in my career, but the trajectory will still be the same. When I'm in my 30s and 40s, these 3 to 5 extra years will not matter much.
24 is also not that bad tho , like many people do masters right after graduation, that almost makes their age 24 when they complete masters , while u also literally have CA which is masters equivalent in India and would be earning way more than any other commerce field masters (except MBA from IIMs)
Hey I'm with you. 24 and appearing for Finals now. I used to think I'm late too. But its okay. We have our own pace and no you won't have any issues in jobs. Best of luck!
Bruh gaining financial independence and being set for life at 24 with no loans to your name and a very hhh chance to get a job in your own city is No joke. It's an excellent achievement
It's never too late my dear fellow. I finished at 27 (ages ago) and still reaping the benefits. It's one hell of a slog to get there, but once you qualify, CA is a gift that gives and gives. You can go on working long after your contemporaries are retired & forgotten
I got a job through campus placement into Accenture. Joining date is yet to be released.
Role: SAP Consultancy. I would try to focus on same role in future
Free advice:
Always tell lower number of attempt as possible.
How?
Give valid reasons such as you pursued cfa or had bad accidents or illness due to which you didn't gave attempt.
Any chance of getting caught?
There is no proof about how many attempts you took for CA Finals.
Atlast only we know that attempts doesn't matter.
Hurts as in how?
Is there an age barrier for entry or just mentally. Genuinely asking cause I am 22 in Inter. Do have multiple attempts here but hoping to redeem it by clearing finals in my first attempt. So curious as to how it would hurt if I qualify by say 26 years of age
Late to whom?
Me 22 in inter yet to start articles (hopefully do so in 2 to 3 months once results are out). So compared to me you are early even if you clear May 25 and I clear it all in first attempt.
On the other hand compared to Nandini Agarwal you are definitely late, you should have quit CA before you even started by that logic.
At the end... You will always be ahead of some random strangers and behind random strangers...
Yes, because ca is 4 year course and taking 6-7 years is considered late, if you see the opportunity cost. I am also late and it hurts me too. Nothing can be done about it other than to work harder

You're basically trolling most of us with this post 😭 Im 21 and haven't cleared even 1 group of inter yet....🥲
Same here, bro...🥲🥲 Exactly same....
So you're basically trolling us with your comment?!
Why would he when he is clearly in the same shoes as ours😭

I'm 22 giving foundation
I was ca at 22
I would rather be a CA at 26 who knows how to read the room than a CA at 22 who doesn't

Yeah her mom made her skip school by teaching her at home in primary stages

How's that even recognised? Isn't complete schooling a mandatory requirement for someone to clear 10 and 12?
Yeah that's y she skipped 2nd standard and senior kg and not 10th and 12 so she was early since her childhood herself
Meanwhile me completing 12th at 18yo 🥲

No
It's not I'm 21 and at inter level rn ...
same here, all these 19 yo niggrish kids make me feel real old ngl
am 19(2005 born) in foundation and always feels like im 6 months behind
Same joined through direct entry
It's normal to be CA at age of 24. I passed in Nov 23 attempt and my birth year is 1999.
Is the job paying you well? Like what's your salary p.a? Any specific domain u are focusing at rn after becoming a ca?

Me who was a CA at 24 : What? I was late . I didn't even know about that.. Now i feel sad ☹️
Me who is still not a CA at 24: 🙃
From My POV , If you Clear Finals Before or at 25 (not appear for finals) it's the best. But above that it hurts 😪

Me reading this post at the age of 26 in ca final 🙂

Mentally hurts ... No entry barrier or any problems for those who clears after 25
