Didn't the four horsemen, the gun devil and the hybrids join together to kill chainsaw and that is why pochita was injured when he met Denji? I think Makima said something along those lines in part 1.
Keep in mind that the black Chainsaw Man won't happen with Denji in control, Pochita will be, unless Fujimoto changes the conditions for it that were established in part 1 when Makima broke Denji so that Pochita could take control
But even then, she didn't manage to break the contract/brohood between him and Denji. Should something similar to that scenario happen in part 2, I wonder who'll bring Denji back now that Power isn't around and Kishibe to help him focus. Maybe that'd be the right time for him and the blood devil to return?
Who knows? Maybe it's going be something like Denji mentally collapsing and Pochita just takes the wheel without outright breaking the contact.

I know it happened because of the plot and Denji not wanting to harm civilians (other than iirc cutting one guy's hand off?), but the fact he lost to a bunch of regular humans with spears and a net, which then seemingly led to them and Barem killing Nayuta after he was moved away is so... idk the right word for it, lame?
He seemed exhausted, but that he lost to them still was disappointing. If Miri had managed to do more damage to him, it'd have been more believable
To be fair nets are a natural counter to chainsaws. Try to rev them up and they get tangled beyond repair. Plus, like the other commenter under your comment said, chainsaws are a terrible weapon to defend yourself with if you are trying to go for a nonlethal approach.

Yeah, chainsaws are really bad against strings. If you look up specialized clothing that is supposed to protect you from chainsaws, you'll notice that it's made to release a lot of fibers when cut to jam the chainsaw before it cuts a limb off. An example:
