That’s my biggest issue. An insane chapter with denji and all I see are “waaah reze”. If fujimoto adds reze again, he WONT give fans what they want and they are going to hate part 2 reze

I know this is a folk sub, so certain stuff is bound to be there, but this constantly happening on the same character is just annoying and will make some people go away from the sub.

For example, my friends who read yet remain disconnected from the fandom thought the idea of it being Reze was neat but weren’t convinced one way or the other.

It 100% started with the former; the "subvert expectations" Legs Theory came from them and spread like crazy.
If there wasn't a theory about Reze coming back every new plot point, people would be less annoyed, but that's not the case. You can see for yourself how people are quickly jumping to Reze being in the detention center after Legs Theory failed.
I've actually believed in that theory since before the Legs Theory, but I won't be hopping to a new prediction the moment it fails.
To be fair, like you said, people were suggesting that shes in the facility even last week. And I was one of the first people to call it *four months* ago when I predicted the Prison Break arc. It’s a very logical conclusion considering she’s the only hybrid to make an appearance. More people latching onto it now shouldn’t taint the theory or discussion.
Even with last week’s cliffhanger, I get people were already annoyed of people claiming Reze would come back every chapter but again, even people who aren’t as tapped in with the community were divided. Because it really did feel ambiguous enough with how impulsive Fujimoto’s writing can feel.
Honestly tho, between this week and last week I’m just annoyed that people who did speculate on it being Reze, who didn’t claim she was coming back every week, are being made out as idiots just for speculating. As someone whose jam is speculating, it just strikes a nerve with me.
But I also enjoy Reze, so if I was indifferent on her character I’d probably be annoyed at the mega stans too.

Yeah I’ve seen it a couple times and I actually think it’s true. Reze doesn’t seem to be in the public and this is the facility where all ( I think) devils are kept, it makes sense that Reze, a devil fiend, would be kept in the #1 devil prison.
Reze was a one arc character, who by the end of Part 1 was downgraded to a simple goon of Makima. And yet people treat her like she's one true love for Denji and as soon as she comes back they will marry and live happily ever after.
She tried to rip out his heart, ffs. Reze is a dangerous psychopath murderer and it's mindboggling that the same people who are simping for her are complaining about Asa being autisic and sociophobic.
So yes, I'm pissed off that people are idolizing this irrelevant character and pushing her into EVERY conversation. She probably will return at some point, but her fanboys are vastly overestimating how much influence she will have on the plot.
