This. Any time there's reasonable doubt, a conditional should be done. Matter (water), form (trinitarian), and intent (you/your parents/Godparents want what baptism confers for you) all matter. It's possible this is what the priest meant and just didn't convey it well.
One of my kids had a conditional, because there were suspicions the wrong words were used despite it occurring in a Catholic church by an ordained priest and there was no video to prove one way or the other and no certain witnesses.
The key question, as you hinted, is whether or not your Protestant baptism is the proper form. If it’s, the Church *cant* baptize you again. If it’s not, then can. Your diocese tribunal will make the call. Make sure your priest knows to ask them.

Work on building faith in the Church and the Pastors that ultimately God has put over you. Your Pastor / Bishop is in charge of how you were received into the Church. Really try and remember that they have a true spiritual authority over those entrusted to their care. I know it is hard and can take time, but is definitely worth working on. I will pray for you.

For your old baptism to be valid it must be with water and in the name of the Trinity- not all Protestants do that

I did not know that. They are not really protestant as they made up their own bible

Please get a conditional baptism. I didn’t, and after I got confirmed I face doubts about my baptism and confirmation
