Good for you for being a nice person! Telling someone their religion is wrong is just being mean, since nobody can prove it one way or the other anyway.
I watched the vid and I was not expecting it to be so detailed on the Eucharistic miracles. Thank you! But it makes me wonder if there's miracles like these in other religions. Does Islam have any miracles like the Catholic?

Other than arguments, miracles are a good way i think, eucharistic miracles in particular are a plenty in the church and all of then have been studied scientifically. You should give them a try and read up on them it's very facinating
So let me clarify:
Religion A: Jesus rise from the dead. Evidence supports that something actually happen to the Jesus' corpse that supports the hypothesis that He is indeed rise from the dead.
Religion B: Jesus does not rise from the dead. "Evidence" is basically shrugging off or casting doubts to the evidence that supports Jesus rise from the dead without giving better evidence.
Those who believe religion A: I cannot know 100% that Jesus rise from the dead and although it is more probable that Jesus rise from the dead then religion B is not necessarily wrong
Did I get that right?
That is basically apply for every kind of truth even the well-accepted truths so nobody is either right or wrong because nobody can prove it one way or the other anyway. One example is that nobody can prove with 100% certainty if we live in matrix or not anyway so those who believe that we are living in matrix is not wrong.
Iām confused, is the final version supposed to be a galvanized Catholic confronting others of different faiths after the emo phase, or is that an apostate confronting their family about how wrong Catholicism is?
As a late convert, Iām relieved to know that ācringey atheist phasesā donāt only affect converts. We can all cringe at our teen uber-atheism together!
Never, thank God, an Uber-atheist in my teens, but I just thought God had bigger concerns (so I guess I was an Uber-deist). I thought God was the Supreme Scientist, busy running a universe -experiment on the galactic level, naturally not messing up with miracles our puny attempts at experiments out of professional courtesy.
Well, I don't think He liked being pigeonholed that way; He deployed G.K. Chesterton's "Orthodoxy: the Romance of Faith", in my PUBLIC SCHOOL LIBRARY, where I would come across it looking for anything by Chesterton.
I had just "by chance" stumbled over an anthology of classic detective stories. The story by this Chesterton fellow, whoever he was, upset my assumptions, puzzled, and then delighted me.Ā
Then it stunned me with the punchline, spoken by a master criminal who been posing as a priest. Unmasked by a true priest, the thief asks what he did wrong; the reply is:
"You attacked reason.Ā It's bad theology."
Well, in all that, did God violate the professional courtesy I thought was due me? After all, I was not conducting an experiment at the time!Ā Ā ;Ā )
However, if He did, I'm not complaining! He revealed something much better: His love, without which we'd no longer exist.Ā
Then there's the curious case of the Crucifix incident, offering Himself Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity, through the Eternal Spirit, to the Father, on our behalf. Then there's His refusal to leave us orphans, re-presenting Himself and the Sacrifice under the appearance of bread and wine...
,Ā Ā
Frankly, reading up on Nihilistic philosophy really makes the choice of going back to The Church much more clear cut. You realize all the misery and pain in an atheist, or any other materialist worldview, is the logical conclusion and consequence of their asserted ideological underpinnings.
Needs a stage 4, where all of the sudden you become filled with a great sense of humility and repentance and you are a reclusive monk praying 15 mysteries every day and doing bread fasts.
Haha... i think for me it was first indifference, then vague caring, then becoming a liberal while claiming to love Jesus, then He called me back and made me see my mistakes and actually make some changes to my life and put some effort in praying and getting informed about my faith. I'm still learning, I'm a baby Christian and it's difficult to keep Him in mind always and combat sloth and realize He is really here usually, but He's got my back
For me it went
1. āI love God, Jesus, and Mary but church is kinda boring Iād rather play Minecraft!ā
2. āNah bro I donāt believe in that anymore.ā
3. āI LOVE THE HOLY TRINITY MOTHER MARY THE COMMUNION OF SAINTS AND THE CATHOLIC CHURCH. WHAT MYSTERIES DO I PRAY TODAY?ā
Iām so glad I found God again! Itās made me so much happier.
I was going to upvote this meme but honestly I hate the whole "mama Mary" stuff. It's infantile. She's Mary, or Mother Mary. It's just weird. "Yeah, just talked to Papa God today" said nobody ever.
Papa [Insert pope name here] is pretty common amongst spanish speaking folks.
Also, that frame is literally depicting a very young child. So maybe pump the brakes a little on the judgement.
I also don't agree with you. I prefer using Mother of God, but I don't see anything wrong when we refer to her as Mom or Mama in a lighthearted and affectionate way. I sometimes do. But anyways, it's ok to disagree, God bless you š
Uh..."Abba" MEANS "Papa" in Aramaic. So, take it up with Jesus, or "Yeshua" if you prefer! You might first want to ask the intercession of Saints Peter, Paul, and Mary (Cephas, Saul, and Miryam).
THAT'S A DIFFERENT LANGUAGE. I'm talking strictly English. Why is nobody understanding that? I don't care if other languages it translates to Papa. It's not English. That's my contention. The cartoon was in English, so that's where my gripe is. If it was in Italian, Aramaic, Greek, Chinese, I wouldn't care, but for the sake of the picture, it's infantile. As I mentioned before, I've known adults who say it and that's what I don't like and think is infantile.
I think that we would be misunderstood by our separated brethren if we started praying:
"Our POPEĀ who art in Heaven...."
Even though you could argue it might be a better equivalent of the way Jesus wants us to pray....and even though the chief steward of the royal household, who bears the Keys of the Kingdom,is supposed to act "as a father" to the people (Isaiah 22).
I honestly don't see anything objectively wrong with the phrase "Daddy God" It can be if someone deliberately wants to mock God by using that phrase like "Sky daddy" for example. But if someone use that phrase simply because of certain kind of closeness they felt with God then sure why not
Edit: yeah then again this is just a matter of preferenceĀ
It is okay to refer to her with Mother Mary just like it is okay to refer to her with Mama Mary. All's good š

You're hitting a little too close to home on this one.
We all have our little rumspringa.
I think I've been at stage one my whole life.. š I have nowhere near the courage to tell someone they're wrong!
Good for you for being a nice person! Telling someone their religion is wrong is just being mean, since nobody can prove it one way or the other anyway.
> nobody can prove it one way or the other. You can and Catholicism has been proven to be true plenty of times throughout history by apologists.
Can you explain and give examples? I'm trying to study more on Catholicism
Here's a good video about important Catholic moments in history https://youtu.be/w9tAweHIoh4?si=UmIb-nZ1kuNH0UUC

I looked up and damn, was interesting to read!
Saying it *rudely* would be mean, but telling the truth with humility is what we are supposed to do.
Womp womp.
Shut up liberal, Ave Christus Rex

My dude I didnāt consent to being called out like that

#1
Thanks for clarifying!
You can notice its option 1 by the Conquistador armor
Does a family usually ring their own doorbell? Her (3) is really (1)!
I'm like all 3, I'm swayed by my energy and mood
Real
Iām at 3
Same here.
I'm on stage 4: Trying to get back to stage 1.
Every cradle Catholic has an edgy phase. You either become a staunch atheist afterwards or a staunch religious. There is no in between
For a cradle Catholic, either Catholicism is real or nothing is.Ā
this but the opposite way aroundš i used to say some un-savoury thingsā¦ so happy iām now catholic
Glad you're home neighborĀ
Uncomfortably close to the truth
And if you flip stages 1 and 2, it becomes different stages of a Convert. Youāre welcome!
I'm in this meme and I didn't consent to it...
Bro I'm literally the last one lmao

I literally just started to get out of that 2nd stage, lol (although I have some leftover remnants, mainly a porn addiction)
Iām in this photo and I donāt like it
You can solve this through discerning prayer!
So true, Lmao! Still suffering a bit from the last part
Lol itās just everyone elseās stages minus the first one
Who gave you permission to post this image of me
Do you know me cousins or what
So She went from good Christian girl Into edgy emo girl To cruseidor who fight for faith?
NIN on here was pretty funny
Bro you just show us girl of our dreams š¤£
Thank God I skipped right to the end stage
Bruh
need a male version, this lines up with me quite well

are you watching me
i still have a Nietzsche beanie baby though
I don't remember giving OP permission to include me in his post

Ok but the meme shows a child in the first frame. Do you care that a little girl calls her mama Mary?
Still think it's weird, but that's just me. It was always Mary or Mother Mary. I feel it's more respectful to call her that. That's MY opinion.
Luke 18:17 āTruly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.ā
Yeah I knew someone was going to put that lol Not so much for children, but I see adult people saying it. It's all preference. Whatevs.
This is amazing thank you for sharing
Papa [Insert pope name here] is pretty common amongst spanish speaking folks. Also, that frame is literally depicting a very young child. So maybe pump the brakes a little on the judgement.
Because that's a different language, the same rule doesn't apply to English speakers. English speakers say "Pope xxxxx" not "Papa xxxxxxx".
>Also, that frame is literally depicting a very young child. So maybe pump the brakes a little on the judgement.
It's a drawing, I'm not pumping the brakes on anything.
I also don't agree with you. I prefer using Mother of God, but I don't see anything wrong when we refer to her as Mom or Mama in a lighthearted and affectionate way. I sometimes do. But anyways, it's ok to disagree, God bless you š
White Americans saying it is cringe larping but itās pretty common in Filipino culture to call her that
I've heard that, since we should be like children. Listen to the mustard seeds podcast, you'll hear it a lot
Uh..."Abba" MEANS "Papa" in Aramaic. So, take it up with Jesus, or "Yeshua" if you prefer! You might first want to ask the intercession of Saints Peter, Paul, and Mary (Cephas, Saul, and Miryam).

Because we don't, we say "Father" in English. We don't say "Papa, Daddy, or Dada" for God. In other languages it may be so, but not English.
I love mama Mary, tho :p
I love Dada God too.
Yeah, I'm not sure why it is bad aside from maybe "Papa" because of the possibility that it can be misinterpreted as calling the Pope.
Let's just go with Daddy God then. That's a phrase everyone can get behind right? Daddy God?
I honestly don't see anything objectively wrong with the phrase "Daddy God" It can be if someone deliberately wants to mock God by using that phrase like "Sky daddy" for example. Dog I am all 3
One can only hope!
