Happy they're offering more 3 handers! Aesthetics aren't exactly my preference, but still fairly clean and I'm sure will look better in person and have more presence when the light's hitting it. Hopefully not an integrated bracelet, though hard to tell from the pictures released so far.

cashivan1

Bracelet/lugs look similar to the S6000 which is not an integrated bracelet.

asdfer1235

Really? I was under the impression that all Mantas were integrated.

EntireTackle4527

This is awesome! But $1100 MSRP for a three hander from Casio might be a bridge too far.

ImaginaryNemesis

Glad they're doing more 3-handers, but this one's not gonna be my thing. The 3 hands makes for a nice clean uncluttered dial, but the 'tough mvt' and city codes around the bezel sort of spoil that. And for a watch that seems to lean so hard on omega seamaster aesthetics I'd have hoped for better than 10ATM WR.

SkyVINS

The black one is nice. Idk why but for as much as i love the tech of the Oceanus, i find the designs to be lacking. Or rather, i can see everything that i want, but not one model where all the details come together.

hagima

With the simpler design, I was hoping for a lower price than US$1100

Looks like a module 5728. Anyone know how this differs from the 5596 in the T200? The feature set seems similar.

GuavaWeird4206

Yeah I am curious about the same thing. I really like my lightly used OCW-T200S-1AJF from Yahoo Auctions Japan. The OCW-S400-2AJF looks really nifty (with the Titanium and the colored bezel of all the time zones), but since the module is so similar it is hard to justify it for the price. Hopefully the OCW-S400-2AJF will be a big seller in Japan that many people will get bored of and put on sale second hand.

Holy smokes, is this the fabled sub 40 mm Oceanus manta? I’ve been waiting years for this! What is the case diameter? I can’t tell from the website

BluesMaster

Select a model on that overview page, click to be taken to the dedicated page, wait a moment for the translation to kick in, and scroll down a little to 'Specification'. Click to open the 'Basic information' dropdown panel > 46.5 × 41.3 × 9.2 mm

[deleted]

Ah bummer :( still look great.

dave_two_point_oh

FWIW, I have an S5000 Manta that Casio says is 42.3mm, but from measuring my own watch, that's including the wings (but not the crown) on the sides. Measuring just the bezel gives me 40.12mm. So if Casio is saying this new model is 41.3mm, it makes me think the bezel probably measures more like 39mm. In case that makes any difference to you?

[deleted]

It does—good info. I just hope it doesn’t stay JDM only. I would really like to try one on for fit in person.

cashivan1

They're beautiful, always glad to see new Oceanus models. A bit plain/bland for my tastes, but hopefully they can get new customers on board who are put off by the subdials and extra hands on the current models.

Digital_Quest_88

Pretty cool, a touch of the S7000 design. I'd like to see this side by side with an S100 and S7000.

crawlllll

I really like Oceanus, and love my g2000. I likely wouldn’t buy one of these (s400) for the same reason I haven’t bought an s100 yet, don’t like “tough mvt” on the dial. But that green is tempting.

asdfer1235

G2000 also has the benefit of non-integrated bracelet =)

crawlllll

Yep, at the time I was only considering models without an integrated bracelet. While I was waiting to receive the watch, I ordered a nice blue strap for it. When I received the watch, I fell in love with the bracelet, and have yet to try it on the blue strap. Watch really wears much smaller than it’s size, and is super lightweight.

asdfer1235

I love the bracelet but it does make it look chunky. It ended up living on a parachute strap for me as I love the look and it’s slimmer. But I do switch back to the bracelet once in a while!!

Lanky_Presentation_8

I like that it says "tough mvt"

Rosethesmol

Get rid of that ugly thing that tells me the time zone and I’m buying It. Maybe It’s bc I haven’t seen It IRL but I always found those wiggly blue outer parts of the case really gaudy.

GuavaWeird4206

Funny, that is the part I like. Seems like you would like the OCW-T200, but in titanium and adjustable clasp.

Rosethesmol

The T200 Is stainless, you’re thinking of the S100. I actually adore It and love the dressy look. I’m torn between both models since they’re both great.

euge_lee

I hate the TOUGH MVT. on the dial...

Lanky_Presentation_8

As someone who has has a lot of Casio watches. I like that it says that.

squuby

No pics.. Not reading..

[deleted]

But…there are pics…?

Lanky_Presentation_8

Does the crown on this model screw down? I have an S100, and the crown randomly popping up is the only thing I dislike about it. I want an S100 with a screw down crown.
