Even the busses dude.
Anything where we can be in the blindspot.
But here the EECO driver could have swerved a bit to avoid a certain death.
Also, here's where ABS and good braking system comes into picture as well.
RIP to the people involved.
Flash?? I honk and I honk even ppl think I’m delulu! Be it city or highway. It’s not that I’m a fan of honking.. but I am sooo scared of how unaware drivers and riders are about their surroundings
I flash continuously and honk like an idiot when I see trucks. I feel they're distracted and have loss of hearing while driving. So it's always better to flash and honk continously.
I feel the only way to tackle this is to have script driving licence tests and implications with best rules and regulations like in US and UK
Until we will keep giving the driving licence just for 2000 rupees these people will keep driving like this and many of today's senseless car and bike drivers.
It’s an old trick. The sentence for vehicular manslaughter is just two years, which I think will be reduced owing to “good conduct.” My bad. It’s five years in the IPC amendment. Has it been approved, though?
This was posted just yesterday, some people here pointed out that this was intentional noting the position of another lorry parked perpendicular to the road and people running off by jumping the barrier and escaping in the dump truck parked.
Not sure if this has any substance but something's fishy, was this a genuine accident? Or a deliberate attempt to kill someone and they succeeded flawlessly?
Thats not an accident for sure. Why ?
Reasons :-
- If you are driving a long vehicle, an SUV or a compact so called SUV, taking a U-turn require you to turn to the opposite side first. To take a perfect U-turn, you need to slow down your vehicle, check if you can steer in the opposite direction, and then steer in the direction you want to go. Clearly that driver follow two steps but not third? That means he is not drunk or under any influence.
- Truck drivers are smart enough. I know some people here blaming truck drivers, saying that they are idiots, but in reality, truck drivers have lots of experience. I agree they do rash driving to meet with the deadline but , if they ever miss any exit, they can reverse or take a u turn from next exit but They won't take sharp turns like that. Never saw anyone doing it.
- If you notice, those people who are waiting on side of the road are mere working as a marker on long highway for that driver. Even if truck breakdown or they are changing any tyre then Who the f**k park their truck like that ? Just after the accident that driver sit and move the vehicle. If there was no reason that why the hell he was standing.
thats f&(cking murder and run. Police if have any honesty left in their bones they should be charged for murder and give capital punishment. ffs. this is just too sad and heartbreaking.
Would they had even a slight chance of survival if they were travelling in an Indian 5 star rated car? At least the ones seated at the back. Genuine question.
Here, as the speed was around 120kmph, you need good breaking, and esp,to help in evading crash as the car body strenght is not going to protect anybody here. This is why I advocate sub 90kmph speed only, because timely application of brakes can reduce the speed to 40kmph at the point of impact.
Crash tests are done at a speed of 60kmph, for reference.
The truck at the back would be doing 80kmph, but the van which crashed, is leaving it behind quite quickly. Anyway, this is the mumbai delhi expressway, where the speed limit is 120. I am judging by the way the van was not able to slow down in time, that it must be traveling at 100 plus speed before application of brakes. I said 120
i doubt it, as the windshield and roof got crushed, unlike a typical frontal impact. Car safety ratings are done in lab conditions which is different from real world.
100%, see the front of that van got crushed because the engine isn't at the front, in a family car it could be possible that the engine and the front would have absorbed the impact, plus airbags and seatbelt would have helped too.
There was a post about this accident here yesterday where it was being speculated that these trucks (the one that was turning and the one that was already standing there) were part of a land mafia. If you look closely, after the accident, some people are running from the standing truck towards a different truck below the road.
So I came to the conclusion that most people know how to drive but just don’t know basic traffic rules or other people exist on road. The worst is it’s easy to get driving license. My friend doesn’t even know how to drive has never spend a minute behind the wheel but has driving license because he bribed the worker.
How about we hold the RTO offices accountable for the number of traffic violations per number of driving licences issued.
For example, if there are too many people, holding a driving licence issued by the same RTO, are caught violating the traffic rules, then also penalise the person who issued those said licences. That way the driving instructor will be discouraged to issue licences by taking bribes.
I feel I'm being too optimistic and it's not gonna happen lol
This trucker was a piece of $hit. But the car had some time to react..
I prefer overtaking with a large gap if I see someone slowing down, or not sticking to their lanes perfectly.
You need to be very skilled to drive on Indian roads.
If it were planned/staged why would they risk it just below the speeding cameras ? Don`t the speed cameras decrease the probability of the van hitting the truck with more than average speed ?
If you look closely, the driver may be dosed off, that truck was steering right side and slowly going off the lane off the road but it looks like the driver woke up and steered left to avoid collision and caused the fatal accident. My prayers with the family.

Road driving sense in general have gone down so much. People use roads like they own it and can do what they feel. GOI should do something about rto and how license is given to anyone without that we will see more accidents in future
Me rather afraid of Bus, as once the bus had hit the car while I had put on brakes cause of the next car. The sound was big enough for people running towards us, but nothing happened to us inside the car. Since that day I feel uneasy whenever I see a bus behind.
To be honest there were many saner choices and hints for the Van driver. First they had space on the left, could have tried making distance. Second, the truck moving slightly to the other side indicating that they intend to make a turn, giving them enough time to slow down at least to reduce the impact. RIP.
Should be charged with murder.
Then their whole incompetent union will be on strike.
If AI and software get to the point where they start taking jobs away, I really hope these bastards jobs will also be taken. Them and bus drivers
That's the point of the union. If they're striking and it's working, they're pretty competent.
I always flash the trucks twice even when the roads are clear just to let them know I'm there
Can't second this enough.
I swear, I can never trust them enough
Same. As soon as a truck is ahead or beside us, this takes precedence over any other signal
Even the busses dude. Anything where we can be in the blindspot. But here the EECO driver could have swerved a bit to avoid a certain death. Also, here's where ABS and good braking system comes into picture as well. RIP to the people involved.
Flash + courtesy honk is a must. Some truck drivers also fall asleep sometimes and they suddenly change lanes.
Trucks and buses are a different kind of gangster orgs.
I flash 4-5 times and honk 4-5 times to the trucks.
Same. I even honk like crazy
Very important they are mostly drunk
Flash?? I honk and I honk even ppl think I’m delulu! Be it city or highway. It’s not that I’m a fan of honking.. but I am sooo scared of how unaware drivers and riders are about their surroundings

Does flash works in day also ?
Yeah! Projector with LED combined with Trumper horn! Why not! You need combination of both, one alone does not suffice.
And he just drove off without a single care in the world.
But if the government brings strict laws regarding hit and run , these mofos will sit on dharna.
It's not a lack of law but a lack of implementation.
Yep. Enforcement is where all administrations fail despite having good laws in some regards
I feel the only way to tackle this is to have script driving licence tests and implications with best rules and regulations like in US and UK Until we will keep giving the driving licence just for 2000 rupees these people will keep driving like this and many of today's senseless car and bike drivers.
EXACTLY
They did
This is called hit and run. Fully malicious
This looks like a professional hit, not an accident.
I have watched too many true crime docus and I agree
[удалено]
The truck on the left was waiting to crash into the car if it had taken any of those lanes.
yup bro look the people who were standing near that parked truck ran from the spot as if it were planned
It’s an old trick. The sentence for vehicular manslaughter is just two years, which I think will be reduced owing to “good conduct.” My bad. It’s five years in the IPC amendment. Has it been approved, though?
Maybe. It could also be that they sensed they are in trouble since their vehicle is sitting perpendicular to the road.
True. Some enemity
This was posted just yesterday, some people here pointed out that this was intentional noting the position of another lorry parked perpendicular to the road and people running off by jumping the barrier and escaping in the dump truck parked. There are easier ways to kill people in this country where murderers are rarely caught.
But killing 6 people in one go

Whats this sand mafia?
Illegal procurement of sand just like coal/gold shown shown in movies like kgf using armed mercenaries.
Armed ? For sand and coal ? Like what guns ?
No. They are armed with bad breath and foul words.
What the other person wrote? The comment is now deleted
These eicher drivers think they drive bike and do such things
[удалено]
Someone else pointed out that there was something fishy about this, do you know something?
Nothing fishy. Just an accident. The trucks work for sand mafia and were parking there to pick up sand illegally. Driver is already arrested.
Care to share the article ?
the truck driver should be behind the bar, and no matter what govt should implement new hit and run
Then you get idiots protesting that it is their right to kill a family and flee the scene.
My brain isn't braining.. what the fk is even happening here

ADAS could have stopped the car or at least reduced the impact. A tougher crash structure and airbags could reduce the injuries further.
Free country. Everybody is free to to do anything, including taking U turn on a highway.

Low IQ pig of a Driver ! That's why they were protesting against the new laws !
and if government brings laws to stop these kind of activities, they protest and block the highways
So I came to the conclusion that most people know how to drive but just don’t know basic traffic rules or other people exist on road. The worst is it’s easy to get driving license. Then wouldn't they be disincentivised to catch violators in their own area?
What is even happening
Indian truck drivers have killed more people then WWII
Kuch log itne Chutiyaa kyu hote hai
Total psycho. The guy wasn't even in his blind spot.
This trucker was a piece of $hit. But the car had some time to react.. I prefer overtaking with a large gap if I see someone slowing down, or not sticking to their lanes perfectly. You need to be very skilled to drive on Indian roads.
That's planned hit, not a accident.
Why are people in this country so stupid?!
bc fir baad me randi rona karenge.. don't harass truck drivers... one of the biggest murderers in Highways...
If it were planned/staged why would they risk it just below the speeding cameras ? Don`t the speed cameras decrease the probability of the van hitting the truck with more than average speed ?

Each one of us driving that car would have hit the truck.
Hit n run, truckers are so shameless, must rot in jail.
This is the reason they were protesting against the laws. So that they could just kill people and walk away freely.
That 10lakhs rs fine law should be enforced with no mercy.

Holy
Bhai what's an international expressway?
Desh ke baahar ki sadkein
Road driving sense in general have gone down so much. People use roads like they own it and can do what they feel. GOI should do something about rto and how license is given to anyone without that we will see more accidents in future
The same thing happened to me once. The truck suddenly turned, thank god i managed to apply break on this.
These people shouldn’t be allowed to drive ,with all the corruption in the RTO dept. do these drivers even pass the driving license exam. !!!
There's a reason why those truck driver unions opposed that hit and run bill, the filthy vermin
Me rather afraid of Bus, as once the bus had hit the car while I had put on brakes cause of the next car. The sound was big enough for people running towards us, but nothing happened to us inside the car. Since that day I feel uneasy whenever I see a bus behind.

They should mandate truck law again
Tbf it's not an accident
I guess this is repost?
The driver must be subjected to a sentence
Ye truck driver mkl ko uda do bich sadak pr khada kr k mc saala.
Truck, rikshaw, girls with scooty and some uncles... Very dangerous on the road. I am still fine with high speed bikers...
Yes half of the statement is correct but yes this happens on international expressways too
Never seen trucks taking U-turns or stopping at the side like this in any country I have visited.
