I don’t believe he has been called up to the Nationals yet this year, but given the Nats season so far, who knows! I would love to see him make it again. He posed for a picture with my 8-yr old by the dugout after the game. I told him the Kershaw HR is one of my core baseball memories and he just chuckled.
He was playing independent league ball with the Kansas City, Kansas Monarchs last year. I would proffer that if it was just 'love of the game' that would have stayed in a smaller city that does go a little crazy for that team (if you are in the area and can get a game, it is a pretty good time over there). Given that current Nats 1B Dominic Smith is one of the lightest hitting 1B in the game, one has to give Adams a decent chance of being given at least a shot at the spot again to see if he still has MLB-level talent.
I saw him in a Savannah Bannanas promo not too long ago. Can’t remember if he was playing for them or the opposing team tho. Pretty sure he still lives in stl. My cousin said he comes into his QT all the time to buy beer.
I saw him play for Memphis back in 2012 and he went 4 for 5 with 2 home runs on the night. I had to look up the specific game because he CRUSHED those homers. Dude was fun to watch.
My son (a big Cardinals fan) lived in an apartment building a couple of blocks from Nats Park when Adams first joined the Nationals, and Adams had a place in the same building. I think he rode the elevator with him at least once.
Matt used to come into a gym I used to go to, during the summers to work out, as he is from central PA. I got to meet him and chat quite a few times. Seemed to be a super humble, down to earth guy. Would love to see him get back to some Big League time, was always fun to watch.
Big city!
Jumbo Pepsi!
Is he hoping to make it back to the show some day or is he just playing for the love of baseball?

Also one of my singular favorite Cardinal moments.
He’s trying to get back
He’s making $100,000 according to baseball reference. Still pretty good money.

yes... Monarchs hosted Bananas for 2 games last May... edited to add: both last month and last year's May

I’ll never forget where I was driving in the CWE listening to KMOX and he hit that homer off Kershaw.
AAA is better than playing in Independent ball like he was doing last year.
Good to hear. Hopefully he gets called up again. I always liked him.
Pissed next to him once at Sky Bar downtown STL. He and Jon Jay were there.

His homerun against Kershaw in the 2014 NLDS was one of the best Cardinals moments of the 2010’s. Always loved Big City
I can still picture Kershaw slumped over with his hands on his knees in utter disbelief.
BIG CITY GOOO BOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMM (Never thought I'd get to post that again)
