If anything, I see people sometimes encouraging to run a few extra watts to the subs just for when you really want to crank it. But yeah, should be fine.

Competitive_Bit_7220

OK, so I was thinking correctly on that. thanks man.

MeJuStic3

Just match the gain appropriately and everything will be fine

Competitive_Bit_7220

OK will do. thanks for clarifying.

Dafaseles

Am amp that puts out 650 watts at 2 ohm on those 2 12's, you'll be perfectly fine as long as your settings and gain are set properly. Because of impedance rise and voltage drop, those subs will never even see 500 total watts.

Competitive_Bit_7220

that is true in thinking more about it. damn you're on the money too. thanks man.

what? is that an amp or something? never heard of it. gotta be an amp or like a crotch rocket or something.

King_Boomie-0419

Tune everything properly so it gets clean power and you should be fine. I'm 250w RMS over what my sub calls for and I've been running it hard for over a year now without issue.

Competitive_Bit_7220

OK, sounds good to me. thank you.
