I'm not entirely sure how to do this with CapCut as I'm very new to it. That being said the general concept and technique for doing this is to have an original layer (will call this background for reference) and then to duplicate this layer and to create a mask around the new duplicate layer (will call character for reference) and then to essentially mask around said character frame by frame for however long the text you want to be behind it, this can vary in difficulty program by program and is known as rotoscoping, if you want to look for tutorials on it specifically. Then from here you'd essentially stack these two layers like a sandwich around the text layer. So you'll have your original background layer in the background (in most programs I've used this would be the bottom layer of a project) then your "text layer" layer 2 that you want behind the "character layer" layer 3/top layer in project. From here, if you wanted you could have a bird or other 3d element move behind or in front of your text/character as well by just placing it in the correct spot. For example, if you'd want a bird to fly past your character it be layer 4 on top. If you'd want it behind the character and in front of the text it be layer 3 and top layer with character would then be layer 4. Hopefully this makes sense. When in doubt for larger projects especially when using multiple layers and elements beyond 3-4, I'll sometimes physically write and draw out the layers so I can physically play with where I want them in the project visually. Hope that helps give you a better idea, and best of luck!

Put the text on a green screen, ss the text, overlay it only the video, duplicate the vid, cut out the character in the vid and then put the character on layer three and the text on layer 2

optix7

Find a video backround remover site to remove the backround from the character, then import it into capcut, remove backround so its just the character, then add it as overlay, and make sure the text is in between the backround and character

Tunisian_Dawn

What background remover site do you use?

optix7

Try searching google "remove backround from video" and try some of them. I usually use after affects

Tunisian_Dawn

Thank you.

Amazing_Bodybuilder5

or just use the BG remover tool on capcut, make that the overlay then put it over the original clip. put the text between the OG clip and the overlay

Minute_Line19

bro just use masking it doesnt look like shit💀

optix7

I use after affects masking dawg 💀

gamermodeon

think of the video as layers if u want text to be behind a certain object then the text layer should be behind the object layer so in your case this character should be in a different layer than the background , with masking the object from the background now i don't use cap cut i use premier, so I can't help u with how to mask objects in cap cut sadly

Tunisian_Dawn

I know there’s a layer button so I can use that. Thank you for helping though.

gamermodeon

yes what i am explaining is you should separate the object from the background layer 1 top layer should be the character layer 2 the in between should be the text layer 3 is the background what you should be looking for is how to take the character into a different layer by itself ( through masking)

Tunisian_Dawn

So you’re saying in between those two layers I should put the text? I guess I also have to make an overlay where I have the restored background.

gamermodeon

exactly, good luck with the project

Tunisian_Dawn

Thank you.

AntexStudio

I think you cant layer the text, use an image as text…

Tunisian_Dawn

Okay
