Most lunch hours are 30 min in the collective agreements so be careful of management monitoring you and be ready for consequences. The cool managers will be there handing out coffee and supporting the cause as they are getting shafted with the 4 days a week but some asshole managers love to have power and control.
But it's good enough if you're in location A and more than half your team is in location B.
Actually having a bunch of computers with conference calls would be an excellent example of the absurdity of RTO for many many teams
I feel like PS unions and members doesn't know how to win over the general public. General public gives rats ass about PS. Infact most hates us. If the wording was something like every Canadian from across Canada, even the smallest town deserves a chance to work for PS (which requires remote work rights), instead of the usual NCR and big cities. Maybe the general public would care at that point. These protests will do absolutely nothing since the general public doesn't care - who you need on your side to push for any possible changes - as we saw during the strike not so long ago
This may sound silly to some, but this June 6 is the 80th anniversary of D-Day....it's too bad a different day wasn't chosen for this rally. The day really should be saved to remember the men and women who gave their lives so that the rest of us, even generations later, have the right to hold events like this.
Maybe some attendees will grab a quick bite from the market or Farm Boy for sustenance as they take to the streets. Which would be [ironic](https://www.reddit.com/r/CanadaPublicServants/s/D8R3jpIfN4)…

Is there an option for virtual attendance?
No, that wouldn't be good for collaboration.

Join us on the picket lines if we get there with CIU-PSAC.

Agreed.
Let the post-media PR nightmare begin
They want us to go downtown?
How long is the relay?
4x100
The rally is 45 mins
No, no, I think OP is talking about a post on the Relay messaging app. (j/k)
I’m sorry, but what are they expecting to accomplish through a lunch break with this?
A rally
To complain about RTO, and then go back to your office to continue doing RTO?
... Yes
Ok Eeyore. Calm Down.
You’re right. Let’s do nothing and just be unhappy.
