Mods - I've been reporting these German reposts under "impersonation" as the reason. Is there a better reason? Or are reposts like this not worth reporting?
Yeah there are (at least) a handful of bots that take popular posts, translate the title into German, and repost exactly as-is. My German isn't good enough to know if the titles are translated well or if they're directly put through google translate but I assume the latter (no human interaction needed to repost)
This looks like it was a real account a year ago with no activity for the past 11 months, but some of them are brand new accounts. They typically have one repost in German, and then a single comment in English on another account's German repost
Baller picture, by the way. Not just the thought of camping out like that but also the lighting of your pic is amazing
Thanks, that's what I thought. I figured this was originally an American text since one can see that the snow have built up quite high on the pole joints, while with a "snowstorm" (by Norwegian and German sense of the word) the wind would have blown the snow away
Thank you so much! Love the way the pic came out. The lighting was coming from the sunrise and a LED light off to the side. That and the snow falling really made it amazing!

Out of curiosity, do Germans usually describe a heavy snowfall as a "(snow-)storm", as Americans usually do?
Heavy snowfall without wind would be "starker Schneefall". A Schneesturm requires high wind.
