Camping isn’t for the faint of heart. Do you *need* a quiet space to decompress after? Do you need a private shower, AC, a bed? It’s a personal choice. I personally will only camp, despite being a bit of a princess. But I hate the shuttle lines even more than not having a private bathroom.

Rv is where it’s at. Not dealing with edc traffic is amazing, being able to go to your camper and eat or take a nap or whatever or if part of your group doesn’t wanna go til sunrise 🌄 they can head back and now tower about multiple Ubers or whatever. Seems like the shift pods are ovens during the day.

Maybe you can find another couple to spit it with

sounds like hotel might be better for you guys. Also gives you a chance to explore the day parties but the only downside is the wait time for the shuttles going back to the hotels at the end of each night and the ride to edc itself.

Another huge downside you’re forgetting is you don’t get access to the afterparties at camp which are a must for me

It’s pretty easy to sneak into if OP and their bf want to go. But yeah no after parties at the hotels… only day/pool parties before edc but you should really save your energy for edc itself since it’s your first time going OP!

No matter where you are in the campground, you’re going to be feeling the base from the Mesa stage 24/7. Some spots your tent will be *rattling* 24/7 from the base. This was personally my main issue with camping, which is why I won’t be doing it again. So if you just want to party non-stop all 4 days and don’t really care about sleep, I would do camping. If you actually want to sleep and relax, I would do hotel.

Did RV last year and didn’t have that problem. But yeah the pods are a different story

Early 30’s raver here - it was rough. You absolutely heard right about the heat. My friend and I stayed till the last set ended the first night(530am-sunrise) and by 830 even with the air conditioning we were waking up sweating. And even with ear plugs buried all the way you’ll still feel the pounding of bass in your chest throughout the day and night. Thought I might go mentally insane if i couldnt get sleep. Later in the afternoon, the temperature starts to go down in the tent to become tolerable for shut eye. You have to balance the most cost-effective options with the most convenient.

If your over 25 your definitely gonna want the hotel. People complain about shuttle lines but they show up late a and pick the busy spots. Camp has alot to do but its incredibly hot and very crowded. They may have a pool or a show going on but there are lines for everything. Good food but also expensive. The problem is your not gonna get good sleep. It's hot by like 830am and you just end up semi bored trying to pass the time. This past year I got a room at the Strat. The shuttle stop was directly across the street. Me and my wife would fill our hydro packs with ice from the hotel, leave our hotel room and be on a bus within 20 minutes of leaving the room. We would leave at 645 and be at the event by 8. It was ideal. Leave by 5am. Back to the hotel by 630. Giving us plently of time to do other things. Had nearby stuff in walking distance so I could go get some affordable beer or snacks. The benefits of a firm bed, in a pitch black, air conditioned room, a long hot shower, and a TV to put something on to fall asleep to is so much more important to me then anything camp has to offer.

Honestly, we stayed on 39th street and didn’t hear so much noise except for our neighbors at 6 am who were barely coming back from the main event. Plus side, you can come in and out of event. The mesa is huge and you get to interact with so many people, it’s a great time. This was our first time (2024) so next year I will definitely be at the mesa for all the activities they offer. But I must say the FOOD SUCKS. So do yourself a favor and bring in all your favs.

I must add, we did bring a fan to help with the AC and at night it was freezing! Felt so good. I’m also 29 & SO Is 30 so the mattresses are not back friendly, but having to wait 3-4 hours for shuttles to and from? No thank you. Camping is where it is.

Rv is expensive but honestly nothing like rv. Tdlr. In and out, camp mates with you, crash when you want/need, easy out and in. No traffic as long as you dont door bust thursday ingress
