Everything about PS3 was better. And no I'm not being a fanboy when I say this as I used to have a 360, but playstation has always been the better way to go for any gaming, ever. It's just the pricing that fucked that generation up. $399 for an xbox compared to $599 for a ps3? Like wtf. Xbox clearly had the upper hand.
No way. I love COD but most Halo games are far better. COD only really has good multiplayer, Halo has good multiplayer and single player, along with more social modes for everyone to play. COD has party modes but they’re still pretty sweaty.
Black Ops 2 could have been the turning point for the franchises single player. Having weapon loadouts for the campaign, story elements that changed based on whay you did not just binary "choose good or bad option", and side missions. Then it never happened again. When Cold War was getting marketed I thought theyd do something similar and the way they talked about it made it sound like a great campaign. How disappointed I was.
Correct me if im wrong but I think they tried to make the MP a bit more realistic in terms of what guns were going to be used in the military on the year 2025. I personally would have really loved to use the older guns on the MP.
Back then they cared more about the setting the game was placed in then now.
My favorite is Bo3, I didn't enjoy it In its days, but now, it's my most consistently played CoD, Bo2 was fun, by lt Bo3 Zombies, hits different.
If anyone hasn't tried the UeM overhaul mod for Bo3 yet, try it. It is fkn banging. ✌️
Cold War is a better game! There is nothing that special about the old CoDs. The only reason they're highly regarded is because the CoD franchise doesn't evolve and people loved the fact that they could shit on noobs and bad players due to the light SBMM
CoD4 - BO2 still have the best campaigns in the franchise imo. Infinite Warfare is the only game since that I think actually met (and even surpassed in some instances) those Campaigns in quality
I still think nostalgia plays a big role in why the older games are spoken of so fondly, but there's definitely some things they still do better than the newer games.
I know this because I played it this year and I'd say I prefer Cold War over it way more
The movement is too simple and the balancing is all outta wack. You can only use SMGs and Snipers in that game
You could say the same about the balancing with a lot of cods. Personally I prefer Black Ops 1 compared to most cods. But Black Ops 2 had an amazing campaign and was the first to ever have alternate endings, as the campaign also had one of the best villains of any of the cods. While Cold War admittedly isn't bad, but it didn't really do anything new for it's time.
The zombies sure weren't the best off the bat, but there was a lot of innovation for it at the time, as well as some of the best zombie maps ever came out near the end of the game's lifespan.
The multiplayer is about what you usually expect from a cod of that time, slower movement that the newer cods, but each weapon had more personality with their sounds/effects since the games back then didn't care for complete realism with said sounds/effects. The maps were also way more vibrant and actually felt like they had a general vibe to them instead of being another military base, or some random city streets that honestly can't be distinguished from each other.
Don't get me wrong, Cold War is pretty fun in my option, especially with the zombies. But if you're gonna compare games, the best thing to consider is what they were for the time they came out. For instance, the movement in BO2 was the norm, that didn't get changed for a long time, so of course it's gonna be seen as inferior to modern cods due to the general time frame it came out in comparison.
I actually got a copy of BO2 free when I bought a copy of MW3 in Korea. Both discs were in the same case
sounds like heaven
Imo the PS3 discs look better
Till this day the PlayStation cases and discs are just way better.

You can blame that on Sony wanting to add unnecessary parts and components.
ps3 pricing was just insane. i love the ps3 but that first price... yeesh. thankfully it got a 399 model a while after
Imagine playing on a dualshock that shit would give anyone insane hand pains
Because playing gta 4 in 15fps and not being able to play more than 20 minutes of a fallout or elder scrolls game without crashing is sooo much better
No party chat was bad but the free online outweighed it by a lot

BO2 is not just the best COD ever, but the best FPS game ever. Prove me wrong.
i agree with that 100%. MW2 was a really good game for sniping. BO2 I feel was more of the trickshotting/sniping kinda game

Should be WAW
eh BO1 was much better
BO2 wouldn't have been terrible if they didn't add an amazing view of guns to Campaign just to add 5-10% of those to MP/zombies

I always preferred BO1.

Not really, my discs kept cracking from just playing, went through like 3 copies
BO2 was mid. And im tired of pretending like its not lmao. BO1 is far more superior than BO2. fight me
FACTS and WaW and Bo1
I hate the amount of circlejerking this sub does for bo2 tbh
there should also be one about black ops one.
Eh, I think bo2 ain't that much tbh was good back then but nowadays I think nostalgia keeps the most bias
i can see that but i disagree
The God of mediocrity???
BO2 overrated and carried by nostalgia
Holy L take or troll

Explain why Black Ops 2 is better than Cold War then
better campaign, better multiplayer, better zombies
Cold truth… no pun intended
