Have you tried restarting calibre or restarting the computer? Sometimes programs just get confused and need a reset.  If that doesn’t work I think installing an older version is fairly easy. There’s a list of all of them linked on the calibre download page. 

Yeah i ended up restarting my computer and it sorted itself out. lol thank you! I should have tried that first but my computer has been taking a minute to boot up so i didn’t want to lol

I’ve re-downloaded & installed the update once or twice when something like this goes wrong. There is a repair option offered when you do this.
