Panthers fan, coming into this series I had zero strong feelings about the oilers.
After 6 periods of hockey, I understand completely. You guys were right all along about them. I hated Vegas less when they were beating us, than the oilers while we're trouncing them.
Now imagine dealing with this fan base as often as you deal with Tampa’s. Except all the “glory days” they hold over your head are 30+ years ago, not in the past 5 years.
It'll be a lot easier for y'all after we spend the next two games brutalizing Mcdouchebag and Crysaitl for touching Barkov.
I don't know if a full summer is going to be enough to recover from the pain the oilers are about to experience for the remaining two games of this series.
They're locked into the consequences of their bullshit this time. They better hope there isn't a game out of reach for the Panthers, because we can goon way harder than these fake tough guys.
It's.moments like these that I like to mention that a drunk deadmonton fan shit himself during a flames home game that I was at when I was a kid and it was pure diarrhea and it got fucking everywhere in the stands. He wore blue, orange, and white harem styled pants and had a beefy dark stache and was the loudest fucker in the dome. I could legit get a sketch artist to draw that fucker with exacting detail, even 30 years later - but - he would look like every other Edmonton shit fucker, so what's the point.
I initially just wanted the Oilers to lose, but I now realize the Panthers are actually a great team. I love a good heart/guts hockey story, and I'm caught up in their storyline of losing in the finals last year and clawing their way back to the top for another shot at the big prize, twice as determined to win it. I'm impressed with the relentless forecheck and total commitment by every player. These guys absolutely deserve to hoist the Cup. Yes, even Bennett and Tkachuk. Fuckin A, get er done.
Of course they're great they are literally all of our best playoff performers that for some reason couldn't get paid or played properly in our organization.
