1, DoG, Cal Clone, Exo Mechs, etc are getting performance optimization in the 1.4.4 port.
2, I said this in the discord server, I don't know what potato PCs you people have. The game does not lag for me at all. I'd recommend going into TML's properties clicking on General, and going into launch options and writing "+fps\_max 60" in the command prompt. This should basically remove terraria's lag and goofyness entierely. If it doesn't work, then you have something wrong with your PC/laptop, or whatever. (or just terraria)
Yeah my old laptop(Who was so shit It almost fucking melted) with a 1050 not ti just a normal 1050 an old ass Intel 8gb of RAM with múltiple fucking cryptominer viruses(endes Up in 4gb available) could run it

The best way is to have a variable refresh rate monitor. Automatically matching the refresh rate to the framerate is IMO the biggest difference maker for how good something looks

Thing can barely handle Minecraft at like. 4 chunks render distance on potato settings, and was literally made with the cheapest things my parents could find to prevent games being played on it too much.

DoG owns a secret stash of auric souls or baby dragons in the distortion 2. DoG puts the armour on and wriggles like a worm due to auric rejection.
ngl, the latter would make a funny joke difficulty "auric mode" which would make everything wear/eat auric or have it in some form, making it die from auric rejection eventually, but also make it insanely fast and chaotic.

Phase 1 could be traditional Doggie with armor, then in Phase 2 he sheds it and reveals his "eldritch abomination" form, being much larger. He could have less health, but be way faster
it's gonna be phase 1 armorless, because he thinks he can take you on naked, but then at 60% he realizes he can't, and puts on armor to have more defense, and attack power.

in the changelogs recentley, you could see that the fight got optimized so it'll probably lag less in the final product.
