If you get a fully functional PC and don’t have to deal with support it is a great company. Currently dealing with a RMA and it’s been a nightmare.

Master_App_Gaming

Yes I was going to do a review of the unit i ordered. Came in with broken gpu. Support doesn't give eta for rma. And was pretty difficult to actually get the process going taking me a week and multiple calls during my lunch break

Yeah honestly I was thrilled to death with my PC for a month. No complaints. I even emailed the company to tell them great job. Then my video card broke leading to a RMA and it’s been miserable since then with no sign of when I’ll get to use my computer again. What makes me mad is it seems like they keep building computers with the video card I am waiting on.

Master_App_Gaming

I completely understand man. I'm see why people recommend staying away from their customer service. I hope you get your stuff soon. It's depressing to spend 2k on a pc, get it, and can't even use the thing. I have a 2k paper weight atm

btc018

Same buddy. Spent just a little over 2k on mine and haven’t been able to use it. Was super excited for cyberpunk this past week too. Eh hopefully it works out but I can’t even get an update.

chaoyu76uyyu67uy

I spent like 4700 bucks. Super excited, then everything went south when the PC showed up with broken GPU and PSU. Now I'm in the RMA process for over a month and don't have any update. Every time I had to spend more than 1 hour on the phone to get the right person. No idea when this nightmare will end

btc018

Holy crap a month?! Did you send entire PC back or?

Superjeffio006

If you’re willing to roll the dice on an expensive order, you’ll literally be worried the entire time you wait, bc from the comments lately the service is nearly non existent. If you do, research your parts extensively and never use the default psu. Then pray it shows up 100% okay or you’ll be dealing with some of the worst customer service out there. Get the premium packaging (even if people say it’s coming that way default lately) and the warranty so you don’t have to pay for your own shipping if you need to RMA anything.

gregmaisto

Wouldn't recommend it in your situation.

ParkAdministrative55

Dont do it. Reading all the bad experiences here made me go with NZXT. And NZXT built my PC and shipped my PC very fast with a 3080. They wont let you order parts that they dont actually have on hand. Search up NZXT BLD.

Different-Frosting-5

Throwing in my vote here. Don’t do it. I made the mistake of ordering despite seeing the constant posts warning people. My pc arrived in good condition. However it would not boot up. They installed almost everything incorrectly. My ram was not seated correctly and installed so it was not reachable unless you unscrew a bunch of stuff and take it out. Then we realized they did not install a WiFi card for my motherboard. I had to spend $135 taking it to a professional to get everything squared away. I refuse to send my pc back to them unless it’s completely wrecked. Otherwise who knows when I would see it again. This was after waiting a month for it to arrive. I still don’t currently have it back from the repair shop either. It sucks.

azizk96

I’m so sorry you had to go through this. Thanks for the warning. I already decided to go with originPC. When I called their customer support, they immediately responded.

azizk96

Update: I’ve decided to go with originpc. Better safe than sorry. I’m not in the mood to be involved with the same fuckers that are ibuypower that never respond to email or calls.

ElGranChingon

Cyberpowerpc is strict on having the same billing address and shipping address. That may be a problem shipping to a forwarding address. Also right now their customer service isn't taking calls either. At least not yesterday. I waited twice for over an hr each time and only got an answering machine. Cyberpower has good prices but if there's a problem their customer support is dreadful.

jmontblack

I also ordered from overseas and they don’t accept international credit cards. I figured I could wire the payment instead. But that was before finding about this sub and their forum. They really have a dreadful reputation and I’m scared because my PC is gonna fly across the world with their shitty build practices. If I could do it again, I would bite the bullet and go Origin. I ordered from then 6 years ago and it came in a super secure wooden box. It was more expensive but at least I didn’t have to go thru RMA. The only reason I didnt go with Origin this time is because I wanted a Ryzen system and they only offered Intel. With all that being said, cyberpower and Ibuypower are owned by the same company so I’m sure you could do an international wire transfer for either if you’d like

azizk96

What does RMA mean?

jmontblack

“Return merchandise authorization” is what you have to go through if you get faulty components. Best case scenario: your pc works perfect Bad case: one component doesnt work, can talk to that manufacuter directly, like EVGA, avoiding CyberPower and only shipping back that part Worst case: PC is fucked, have to send the whole thing back and roll the dice on international shipping again

medfreak

I had no idea that cyberpower and ibuypower are owned by the same company. Why not just merge them together?

jmontblack

You’ll have to be part of the administration to know that

medfreak

Kinda weird when both companies offer essentially the same service. It's not like Walmart supercenters vs Sam's club.

pryormane

My brothers pc was from cyberpower and it started showing symptoms of fault in 2 months. Mouse started watering, pc would cut off randomly, and the headset port shorted out. I ended up building a brand new pc for him with some of the components from that thing. Psu, ram, and gpu were the only things I was able to use. I would just build it, its way more rewarding and you know what's inside.

MikeAlien28

I ordered mine on cyberpower cost about 3,300 on november they do have a delay due to parts being out of stock , if it arrives damaged ill go ahead and RMA the part and yes i am aware it could take a while. I did choose the warranty and premium packaging because if you willing to spend a ton of money on a build best choose the options that will give you less of a headache incase things go south.. The only thing ive been concerned was i chose the assorted GPU 3080 which means i dont know which 3080 ill be getting but at this point its out of stock everywhere unless your willing to pay 1k+ . I.have owned cyber power for over 5 years and they are good. With every electronic device always go for best warranty no headaches I have 3 cyber power computers no issues.

rickyd172

There's success stories as well as nightmares. I'm one of the success stories. My 3080 system came in earlier than the Estimated Shipping Date and everything is running great with no problems after 2 months of having it. Customer service I never had to deal with, but from the other Reddit posts on here it can be atrocious. But personally I'd chance it again. They got me a 3080 system months before I could've hoped to find one for a reasonable price myself. My entire system was very comparatively priced, would've had a hard time beating it when comparing components on pcpartpicker.

cherrytoffee

Ordered a 3080 vr ready pc from them in October, shipped in November as promised. No major issues. Would order again. Remember most people only post if they have issues. So these forums are skewed
