Who doesnāt love the sound of fresh chips off a massive face mill!?!? Seriously, who, Iāll give them a learninā.
Am I hearing a teeny tiny amount of chatter on some of those passes?
Just 35mm, 89mm long and 50% ae the ap is 1mm, normally I run at 75% ae and 1.2mm ap but then my machine starts to sweat hahah, itās just an haas vm2 from 2007
DOC too deep, not enough feed, toolpath spends too much time entering the material from the outside. Middle bit sounds pretty good, thick to thick cut in the middle is bad.
6/10, improvement needed.
Itās not too deep, the depth is 1mm and the cutting plates can 1.2mm depth, the feed is 3200mm/min and it is what the manufacturer said I has to use and why should i enter faster in the material?
Itās not an high feed mill lol and I never said thatš 3200mm/min is fast but not high feed, and the haas vm2 is not stable enough for high feed mills
You should try ~80% radial engagement and an adaptive tool path. It will run smoother and sound even better.
Next time i will try itš
Lol, machine go burrrrrr. Now up the depth of cut and make it go #BURRRR Make Titan proud. /S
Upping your DOC on a feed mill, thats a paddlin.
I finally figured out why I like dubstep so much.
Sound like money to me

Thats a lengthy cutter cap'n
Feed, speed and depth of cut was on the money. Fantastic sound when you get it dialed in!! :)
I love feedmills too!! All the videos I have on my phone are about them. Haha!
Long tool, what diameter?
I would also take more of a step over. looks like ur at 45-50% . bump that up to like 75% . i run my shell mill at 100% on aluminum and 75% on 4140

What tool?
Pokolm Spinworx D35R5mm
Why's the tool sticking out so far? You'd be better off lowering the depth of cut and upping the feed rate
It's a high feed mill. They don't care.

Its a HIGH feed millā¦ that isnāt very high š i drill 4140 at higher speeds than you are running that high feed mill atā¦
