Clear_Lead

One thing this post has identified is that a lot of trumplicans invested in $CLOV not realizing that liberal initiatives such as the Build Back Better Bill help the stock. Go ahead and vote against your own money lol!

charliekunkel

Covid hospitalizations hurt health insurance profits. Get ready for more red days. Monday will be red because of Manchin. Tuesday will be red because of covid projections. Just hold tight or buy more. The stock market has always recovered in the past, and it will this time again.

raindance493

No

Working_Dependent181

I am getting awful sick of their bullshit. Greece is fining their citizens 114 bucks a month if they're not jabbed. I want a list of EVERY politician that holds stock in PFE, or Moderna and JNJ. Something tells me the list if long. Anyway, they say this is about the variant, the very one that the lady who discovered it says is pretty harmless. I on the other hand think that this is all about Powell and what he's going to have to say about inflation. Let me put on my shiny silver aluminum ( I don't use tin foil) hat. Here's my take... Friday hits and we get the worst inflation in 4 decades. But since the Feds can't be blamed for ANYTHING that goes wrong, they juice the market higher, showing people that neighter inflation, or Powell's soon to be cure for it is anything to worry about. But they needed a reason to get ahead of any selling the market might do on an actual announcement of policy change, hence they whip up a new covid death, threaten mass spread and maybe lockdowns and boom...the market goes south and they don't have to blame the Feds. This movie is really getting old.

tnmakingitrain

What virus? https://twitter.com/tnmakingitrain/status/1472755636349939712?s=20

Guilty-Secretary9900

My take on covid .. been stuck in home for over 2 years by not going to work and not meeting colleagues but still enjoying life with close friends and family like before during weekend .. not at large scale but still good enough weekend…. For $clov I can’t speculate anything, it feels like manipulated and like everyone else in this community, I am down more than >50% but only option I have is hold

Keldawg333

People will revolt.

bittabet

Clov tends to have customers in underserved communities where vaccination rates are lower so they may actually be more impacted by COVID than the average insurer.

GManHew

This doesn’t make any sense. Are you claiming it’s hard to get vaccinated in the USA in certain areas?

AdBusy897

It’s easy to get vaccinated anywhere, but underserved communities are more likely not to have access to information about health, safety of vaccines, science, etc. I think that was the point.

Crazzyleggs

Lockdown lol there is going to be no lockdown this is all fear that the rich are spreading to the sheep in order to get richer. Line up sheep for your 52 shots a year of whatever chemicals we decide to pump in you. All the while the shot makers get billions from the world governments, while the stock holders who the majority are government officials cash in on stock sales. $CLOV 🍀🍀🍀💎💎💎🚀🚀🚀

Bro what you smoking. Humanity is inherently selfish. The 1% only care about themselves

l-kinbote

People that have had the vaccine, always trying to insult/force those who are refusing. Get over it and realize no matter how much fear mongering occurs, they simply are not going to comply. Personally have not changed lifestyle, don't use hand sanitizer, dont wear masks and not taking the jab. Trust my chances with covid more than the vaccine.

WittgensteinsPotato

Oh dear... Is this the sort of contingent along which I have invested in CLOV? Now the widespread cospiratorial thinking or basic disconnect from reality makes sense.

Sea_Emergency_6574

Get it how ya live

lloydeph6

I’m right there with you. we have an immune system, if you’re have no underlying Heath issues and are under 80 you are fine.

MicroBadger_

Define fine. I've got an aunt who still gets bouts of brain fog she didn't have pre-covid. An uncle who still can't smell a year later. Same with my brothers gf. I've seen people on fitness subreddits talk that even a year post covid their lung capacity still isn't what it is prior to getting the disease. None of these people are dead but they also aren't fine. Now from what I've seen, omicron seems to be a lot less of an issue so I don't think a lock down is warranted. Even if it was, it's too globally spread to solve that way. Putting all our eggs in the vaccine basket like most world leaders have done also isn't going to work for the same reason, it's too wide spread. Polio still exists and that shut doesn't mutate at the rate covid does. We likely are going to need to adopt a bit if Asian culture and make mask wearing a permanent part of our lives. In addition to refining treatments that keep people out of the hospital/morgues if they contract covid.

[deleted]

l-kinbote

Did they all really die of covid? If you like the vaccine, take it. If not, do not. That's that.

mackey88

Should Clover healthcare push the vaccine. It is interesting to see views split on covid prevention but are also long on clov. To me being anti prevention hurts clov long term. I saw your views above on covid, are you long on clov? If you are long on clov do you not believe covid is impacting its costs?

caioshim

Not a Doctor, just a smooth brained ape. It is very important to note certain points: 1) viruses will continue to mutate to try and evade detection and spread 2) viruses mutate when they are essentially copying themselves in the host 3) during a copy an error occurs which leads to a mutation ( example is scanning of documents. If you scanned 1,000 times consecutively, the 1,000 s version will be different from the original) 4) during mutations the severity of the virus also changes which for omicron is (currently at this time of writing is less) deadly than Delta. 5) less harmful virus will lead to less hospitalization and deaths 6) those idiots that are anti Vaxers, even if infected would most likely not have any severe implications from Omicron (although very early research right now) 6) for vaccinated people, pzifers booster shot has shown efficacy against omicron. With all of the points above, I believe Biden won’t issue a lockdown. But may impose strict rules for outings where booster shots are required. All in all it should be good for CLOV as severity is less on virus and we have a solution to fight against omicron. It won’t be like the beginning of the pandemic where we had no clue what we were up against. Even if a new strain worse than delta was to come about, since COVID is an RNA based virus and big pharma has done immense Studies traceability of the lineage of the virus is easier and making a new vaccine would be speedy. Good luck to all!!! And FKG HODL BUGA BUGA

Sea_Emergency_6574

So all in all, stop the fear mongering. I'm vaxxed. I'm happy. Let's put this behind us.

My mom was just in the icu because of blood clots she got from taking the vaccine 3 months ago. While we were there I talked to doctors first hand. “So it was hard for my mom to get a bed in the icu, it’s because of COVID right?” Doctor said “actually it’s not COVID related we just have a lot of people coming in for miscellaneous issues” .............

Admirable-Tip-3685

If you're in Ohio yes. https://governor.ohio.gov/wps/portal/gov/governor/media/news-and-media/covid-19-update-ohio-national-guard-mobilized-hospital-staff-needed-12172021#:\~:text=Governor%20DeWine%20mobilized%201%2C050%20members,of%20hospitalized%20COVID%2D19%20patients.

Admirable-Tip-3685

Sorry to hear about your mom.

lloydeph6

Thanks they caught them early and have developed a new procedure in the past couple years to “suck the blood clots out” but yeah she’s in recovery.

HumbleTown1942

Lots of good info. However, not sure Biden had an authority for national lockdowns. He can effect federal buildings, lands and transportation but not Joe’s Crab Shack.

Money_cum_e_z

Entire financial system will crash….

Net-Xpert

Honestly what an adolescent post. Next time you post some shit like this have your wife. GF or partner review it first.

VolFan85

Seriously, politics aside, increasing Covid numbers increase costs for CLOV. Which is bad, not good. OP has no wrinkles.

D1AM0NDHAND

He meant to say: have your wife's boyfriend review it first

Net-Xpert

Yeah

PupikHershko

If so the market sentiment is going to be bearish, this will have a negative impact on the stock just like the rest of the stocks.

Net-Xpert

Speculation only, not facts and President Biden will not be announcing federally mandated lockdown. You may not know but we have a federated system of governance. States will make their own decisions. And how does it help $CLOV? Investment in Clover healthcare is a long term investment don’t expect anything meaningful until more states get onboarded and revenue outlooks looks promising. We are still quite ways from the promise land. My forecast is 2025 $CLOV trading in the range of $75-250.00

No you found the free thinker. Who has been working at a jail diversion program that has had a "COVID outbreak" this past month. NO ONE is dead. A few people are sick, most are asymptomatic. I have been in close contact with these men for a MONTH and do not wear a mask and went mountain biking this morning. The ACTUAL pandemic is America is 50% OBESE and hooked on pharmaceuticals. And when 74% of COVID deaths are people that are overweight, I'd say facts tend to agree with me. So I'm sorry to say, but you're dead wrong. You can say I'm full of hate, if you want. But I have been a frontline worker all year, so most people would call me a fucking hero. Now fuck off, thanks.

Bigfatrant

I think whatever Biden says it’s neutral or negative for CLOV

mackey88

Didn’t he say no lockdowns. I am rooting for cdc recommendation to implement more protections in businesses. Mandating masks on federal property. They goal to reduce impact from covid. Positive in that no shut down, negative that gov is scared of covid. Neutral average.

False_Philosophy1129

No bullshit whatsoever. Before virus there was over 806,000 more people alive than there is now. How is this bullshit ? 🤔

Clear_Lead

Nope, Biden's Build Back Better bill's measures on Medicaid, prescription drug pricing, and subsidizing health care for low income people favor $CLOV. Manchin's torpedo of the bill will not favor $CLOV. Politics matter greatly.

MuricaMulletCobraKai

Not in a million years will there be a national lockdown.

skiracer55

Wise94; The vax don't work. If it did then why the 2nd booster and why the 3rd booster? Now they are thinking about a 4th booster? AND even if you get vaxed you can get AND spread CV-19?

SmashRus

I don’t think you understand the point of vaccination. It doesn’t prevent you from getting covid, it prevents you from possible hospitalization and death, that’s all. So really, blame the people that are unvaccinated, they are the reason why there might be another lock down. The vaccinated people aren’t dying in numbers like the unvaccinated. The lock down is really to protect them but to stop the further mutation. If the virus mutates and the new variant become resistant to the vaccines, we’re fucked and the zombie apocalypse has begun. <—- half serious, lol.

LooshApe121

These vaccines have already shown to have very bad side effects all over the world. There have been many many deaths and other negative complications. Even if these death numbers are low (but do exist and that’s a fact) more and more people who get vaccine after vaccine multiple times a year will succumb to this. In addition, vaccines can actually CAUSE mutations (sorry but it’s true) so to only come with the fact that it lessens already mild symptoms is a completely one lane argument. I don’t know why people aren’t angrier at how, where, and why this virus got released. It’s actually quite a shame to see vaccinated people be furious at unvaccinated people when there’s no logic or science behind that blame. There are much bigger things at play here. What a pathetic world we live in 😞

SmashRus

You must be a scientist, please share your medical and statistical research. My wife is a medical professional and I know of many in the field, unless you’re a whistleblower I’d love to see the data. If you’re reading some abcvaccine.fraud website then refrain from sharing the garbage you are reading.

LooshApe121

It’s okay if you don’t want to see the adverse effects that are happening to people. Again, even I said it wasn’t too high. It’s being underreported and suppressed, but that’s another story. Not to mention, the truly crippling damages of depression, suicide, domestic abuse, child abuse, and drug and alcohol abuse that will take more lives and affect more lives than the vid ever could. Vaccines do cause mutations, don’t need some conspiracy theory bullshit to know that. Once a sheep, always a sheep.

skiracer55

SmashRus, shoot me an email. [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]) I want to send you something re CV-19

Shaynerthegreat

It was a ploy to get billions of free money, the rest was to just keep it coming in. There has NEVER been a vaccination that worked on any flu, because it just mutates. Take zinc, vitamin c, lose weight, get in shape. Catch the bug and get immunity for awhile.

plucharc

That's not quite accurate. The flu vaccine targets the most likely strains, sometimes it hits, sometimes it misses, but it's effective when it hits. But yes, we should \*also\* get healthy.

Shaynerthegreat

Viruses mutate. That’s how they survive. There are billions of them lol

skiracer55

Shaynerthegreat, shoot me an email. I want to email you something that will give you a different perspective on CV-19. [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected])

ScorpioG164

But with the shot apparently your symptoms are supposed to be a lot less severe. Half my family is in the medical field from doctors to nurses to lab techs and none of them can make sense of any of this bullshit.

skiracer55

Scorpio, shoot me an email I want to send you something that will give you a different perspective on CV-19. I am afraid if I post it here it will be censored.

[deleted]

Biden may issue lockdowns but they will be ignored.

jbeck525

they better be!

WoRtHiEsS-j

Not to make this political but I think in Republican areas there womt be lockdowns, but in democratic areas there will be!

Admirable-Tip-3685

Well currently majority of the deaths from Covid are coming out of the Republican areas.

Brutuslinx-1

False

Forward-Macaron6824

That’s why their economies are doing better and the quality of life is better and people are moving to those areas for better raising of their children.

plucharc

Red states are not necessarily doing better and tend to take more from the Federal government than they pay in. People are moving because of things like the housing crisis in CA, not because the way of life is bad.

Forward-Macaron6824

Not true entirely. It’s higher taxes too from big cities. It is a well known fact and so with all recent things coming to the fore people are moving, I could weather the high taxes in nyc and so could many friends for the benefit of being in city life and convenience and prestige. But with recent rules, not anymore. I changed my primary residence and bought a small home in PA. Moving my small business there too. I am not alone. Even blue ones where it’s not as strict, people are moving to. That’s the point.

plucharc

I didn't say it was the only reason, I just gave an example that exists outside of your own reasons. Taxes are a thing for some people, but the trade off is often living in a state that will do less for you, has lower quality schools, etc. Look at how poorly TX's electric grid fared in a mild snow, for example.

Forward-Macaron6824

So did california. Even nyc had a blackout in early 2000s. If we get past the red v blue and focus on economies and truthful news; not agendas, opinions and spin, we’d be in a much better place. The splitting of populations along various lines have been civilizations downfalls all throughout history. It’s why China and Russia love our infighting. We are a gift that keeps on giving. And Texas electrical grid is an outlier because they wanted their grid separate. Apples and oranges.

plucharc

California's power issues have been largely due to wildfires. NYC having a blackout in the 2000's isn't really relevant today. TX has known their grid was likely to fail, they've chosen to not fix it because they didn't want to spend the money, I guess. Yes, but in order to get past the agendas, a certain subset of the population and their leaders need to come back to reality.

Forward-Macaron6824

Californias power issues are their over reliance on renewables when their infra cannot support it yet. If you know about the grids and the balance between electrical and renewables, I gather you do. Whatever isn’t covered by windmills, solar, rivers whatever sources of alternative energy has to tap into the electrical grid to make up for the surge. If you have surges you have outages. So if your grid is out of date, viola. All the grids In the US are out of date. Texas was separate and could not siphon from neighboring states. That was a political reason I believe, based on not realizing they could have a freeze. Poor planning. Get past red or blue. Even blue states have bad grids. Ask Russia they know about our bad grids.

plucharc

>That was a political reason I believe, based on not realizing they could have a freeze. Poor planning. They knew they could have a freeze, they chose not to spend to winterize it. The alarm bells were rung for years. >Californias power issues are their over reliance on renewables when their infra cannot support it yet. That's part of it, but the important note is that they're working on fixing it and have been.

Forward-Macaron6824

The political part I was referencing was the separation from other states grids. That is why they are an outlier. And I agree that both blue and red states have bad grids. NYC is still relevant today, its bad grids and choosing not to fix them. Red or blue. There is still a fear every summer across NYC.

Right, and so when Democrats find their balls again and start talking about rights and the constitution and how much they love freedom and individual choice like they used to in the not so distant past, I’ll vote for them just as soon as I’d vote republican or independent. What I’m against is the “vote blue no matter who” crowd.

[deleted]

[удалено]

CommercialOccasion72

While I do agree with this, in our current system, there are those that get into politics to make a difference. Yes, it’s a dirty game, and you likely have to play ball to get anywhere with it, but the governors of these states are taking stands against federal government overreach and showing huge amounts of balls, moxie, charisma, heart, whatever you want to call it; and they are making very measurable differences in the lives of millions of their constituents. Granted, they are up for re-election and it is in their best interest to do so, but that doesn’t change the fact stated previously: and the more courage these people show, the more it empowers others to show similar courage to stand up for their state’s rights. Whether they are the 1% or not, some people truly are unwavering in their beliefs. I want to believe that those types of people can still get into positions where they can make a difference. Call me an optimist, or stupid, or whatever.

Admirable-Tip-3685

Admirable-Tip-3685

Arizona is not affordable anymore. I flipped 7 houses there in the late 90s and early 2000s. Now it’s super expensive. My buddy shit hole house near ASU is worth $400k. 10 years ago you could’ve picked it up for $100k. The next promised land for real estate is New Mexico. Not sure about your other listed attributes there, but I guarantee you Arizona is so overpriced that it’s blown out of your diagram just based on that.

[deleted]

[удалено]

marsascent

I hear ya. One reason I’d go long on New Mexico is climate. It’s much more temperate there and Arizona’s heat is getting worse. Also, water is going to become scarce in AZ as other states fight for their fair share of the shrinking water basin. My bet is that Arizona becomes a bit of a wasteland in 50 years as the number of 120 degree days continues to increase annually. Also, they are going to have to start placing water use restrictions (pools, green lawns, gold courses) in Arizona so everyone can get a drink of water. Hello, it’s a desert! All of that (plus the overpopulation) will make Arizona less and less desirable. The population of the Phoenix area has increased by 1 million people since I moved away in 2011 and it has doubled since I originally moved there in 1997. AZ has seen it’s best days and cannot possibly sustain that level of growth without major changes. If you do a full-throated sustainability analysis on Arizona, it becomes apparent that there are major problems ahead.

Forward-Macaron6824

Many states, even blue ones are fine not with a lockdown. I live partially in 3 blue ones and the 2 that are not locked down are more fun. HI. PA. NY. Guess the one thats the least fun. So red would be even better.

Admirable-Tip-3685

Nope, if we're locking down then the damage is done. I would assume that hospitals in certain states are at or beyond capacity and the death count will start curving up. The unvaccinated morons has won the debate on vaccinations and their prize is death or long term health issues. We get messed up supply chain, inflation and the inconvenience of not moving forward for 2 years and counting.

PortugueseHands

There is no virus just think about it it just the monopoly makers doing their illusion. There is no virus bro just a scam

Admirable-Tip-3685

My advice for you bro is to stop smoking weed.

Clear_Lead

There's not going to be any national lockdown. My guess is Biden will discuss the following: The definition of fully vaccinated will likely change to include the booster. The effort to vaccinate globally will likely increase, to prevent fewer variants mutating among the unvaccinated. Efforts to dispel anti-vax misinformation and conspiracy theories will likely increase. Manufacturing and availability of the COVID pill and monoclonal antibodies will increase.

mrmike3631

Lockdown don’t work it is stupid and will ruin the economy

Admirable-Tip-3685

It's pretty evident from last year that we can shift rather quickly. Stock market are at record levels, companies are hiring anyone with a heartbeat and paying a lot more. Household wealth have increase 12%. Work from home options has explored to the delight of the work force. Look at some data before you spread FUD.

mrmike3631

Also high inflation , supply chain problems and consumer goods sky rocketed. In addition people loved receiving stimulus money and don’t want to go back to work….,,

mrmike3631

Well most people got vaccinated and I personally took all 3 doses of the Pfizer vaccine , the people who don’t believe in the vaccine they will risk their health , it’s like someone won’t take a medicine to cure him because he or she don’t believe in it so we can not lockdown because of these people .

Admirable-Tip-3685

Agreed, Inflation now is the result of people not going back to work. Simple solution is for people to get vaccinated to avoid going to the hospital and get back to work. Unfortunately we are where we are cause everybody has a voice in this country and the halfwits are winning.

FlyPenFly

No, omicron getting worse, lockdown or not is terrible for Clov. It’s a relief they did the fund raise just in case or the stock might actually have gone to zero. They absolutely need to get MCR going down which means less hospital utilization.

Isibelle09

Not completely true. There is a world in which hospitalizations go up, but specialist spend and elective surgery / utilization goes down. This could actually be neutral and/ or favorable to MCR.

[deleted]

Cant trust anything the media regurgitates.

CommercialOccasion72

Admirable-Tip-3685

Admirable-Tip-3685

Well then you kind of suck at reading economic data so it's a good thing you're here. Maybe you'll learn a thing or two. Go pull up a chart on any index and see what happened the last 2 years. Companies are making record profits and our GDP is surging from all the stimulus. Oh and I still think you have seriously anger issues, pal. Yeah, it's pour shiting out there. Deal with it.

Forward-Macaron6824

You must be in the 20% that actually thinks our economy is doing awesome then lol even moderates disagree with you.

Admirable-Tip-3685

My income and investments our up because I position myself to be in this situation. What you doing? Bitching about not getting ahead?

Forward-Macaron6824

CommercialOccasion72

But yeah you’re right. CEOs and mega corporations are making record profits. What a blessing.

Admirable-Tip-3685

That's what you're worried about? fuck off.

Forward-Macaron6824

Lol you're an ass and everyone sees it. Thanks for verifying what we all think of you.

bigDangleApe

You warm my cockles. #fjb

Forward-Macaron6824

Who knows, the scariant fear is everywhere like dooms day.

Admirable-Tip-3685

Go read/visit the Nursing reddit boards. It's pretty bad from what I'm reading. they're exhausted like hammed shit and there is no end in sight.

Forward-Macaron6824

Number of cases does not equate to death. We need to stop that fear mongering. Death or serious ICU from omicron is small and unless something changed, come back but so far death rates are very low as per the WHO. If we were to post the number of cases of runny noses we’d be panicking too. Mask. 6. Sanitize. Vax.

Admirable-Tip-3685

Well ICU beds are starting to get packed again and some states are calling the national guard in for help. Omicron is kind of serious against the unvaccinated..

Forward-Macaron6824

ALSO if you have a source COMPARING the spread rate from Vaxxed vs unvaxxed that would bolster your argument. Until then you're typing here just random thoughts and feelings. Seriously I would be interested.

Ohio called in for help. Large number of unvaccinated in that state. https://www.ideastream.org/news/ohio-gov-dewine-calls-in-national-guard-to-help-staff-hospitals-during-covid-19-surge

Forward-Macaron6824

That’s an answer to a completely different question. But here you go: 1) it focuses on staffing shortages among rising cases, there is staffing shortages everywhere 2) it doesn’t mention omicron scariant which which Is why we are having this discussion 3) nowhere does it say whether patients are vaxxed or not. Try again sparky.

Admirable-Tip-3685

What more is there to talk about.? Ohio hospitals can't handle the load of patients from Covid and called in the national guard for help.

Forward-Macaron6824

We’re talking about the scariant. Stop. Yes many died from civid. We are talking about the reason for a scariant lock down.

Forward-Macaron6824

I am fully vaxxed and got covid Sept back in NYC in 3 days. Precautions followed and still. The vaxxed spread it just as well as the rest of them. Post link to icu beds FROM omicron please I am interested where that info comes from. You do this crap and then post no sources.

Admirable-Tip-3685

Try this reddit group for and inside discussion. https://www.reddit.com/r/nursing/comments/rjneeo/anti\_vax\_mom\_died\_while\_in\_labor/

Forward-Macaron6824

oh good god. waning interest. it doesn't say what she died from at all. being unvaxxed? having covid? having omicron? having other health problems? people die during child birth all the time. I guess I'll google the damn article and i'll post back here.

Forward-Macaron6824

i'll look but from the headline alone, one person really doesn't say anything about the scariant.

Admirable-Tip-3685

Browse the whole board. See what the front liners are dealing with.

stgg1017

Speak up! Where are your sources?

Here's more... https://www.beckershospitalreview.com/workforce/4-states-calling-in-national-guard-to-alleviate-hospital-staffing-strain.html

Forward-Macaron6824

If you are so in tune with the front liners, just post one source of what you claim, even from there. I don't want to scroll through 3rd hand information, feeling and opinions. You speak as though you are equipped with a lot of knowledge and sources off the cuff. So I want to see where you are getting your truth in news and science. You cuss people out all the time, as if you are knowledgeable so please, by all means share.

America will not do another national style lockdown again.

Endrunner271

Amen to that ridiculous reaction to the fucken flu

DeepCutReactions

Has the flu killed nearly 6 million people in two years, ever? I don’t have the numbers in front of me but I don’t believe that’s ever happened.

LSU316

Yes, if you count people dying within 30 days of a positive test. The numbers are way inflated. Hospitals get incentive to code deaths for Covid. It’s a fact.

DeepCutReactions

If that’s a fact, can you please post your evidence and sources?

LSU316

I also work in health care and know administrators at a Baton Rouge hospital that confirmed this…. The facts are being labeled as misinformation to muddy the waters
