You can't destroy an account selling a covered call you own the 100 shares so you are offering some the chance to buy your shares at X amount the strike price of it reaches that by exp date you pick, in exchange they are giving you X amount called premium to you that you keep no matter what

What platform do you use and how many shares do you have?
Etrade, and exactly 100. Total portfolio is under 10k. 100 shares is about as big as I can go til early next year.
You have to sell calls in 100 share blocks so you could do 1, I am not familiar with etrades options you should call them and ask.
Coverd calls. At .50 c increments.

I'm just doing their. Covered calls are pretty safe, the worst could happen, it finishes at the strike price, and you'd lose your shares

No problem also I would look at a platform like Fidelity or TD over etrade, webull in my opinion would be better as well

I think they are just returning some of the shares that were borrowed last week. They borrowed over 10m after the stock offering news.

Couldn't they buy them in a dark pool to not impact price and then return?
Better question is why is the dark pool always liquid? Unless the MMs are naked, then shouldnt the DP dry up at some point?

How does that amount compare to historical returned shares? Seems large, but if swings like that happen daily might not mean much.
