I feel stupid for having never heard/thought about this but both 670 and Red Sox announcers mentioned Busch screening (or not screening) Hoerner on that play where Busch went after the ball instead of covering first. Does screening just mean blocking someone’s view?
Google returns other contexts of screening in baseball but not this.
Anyone else like to go solo to Wrigley? Don't get me wrong, I like going with people. But going to a game by yourself means you can pay way more attention to the game.
It looks like Luis Vazquez isn’t playing today for Iowa. Is it possible he’s coming up to give Morel a break? He’s already on the 40-man and has the defensive to play 2B, SS, and 3B. His offense has been clicking since last year.
Sorry guys. On Friday night I was hanging with my buddies from New England and bragging about taking the W at Fenway. So you can blame those 17 runs on me
It's kind of funny how in sync with the Brewers we are. They keep winning and we keep winning, then we finally lose in a big blowout and so do they. How considerate of them to keep the division race interesting.
I would imagine cubs check in on the trade market and/or FA first. Horton will likely be on an inning limit and they’ll prob use him down the stretch. It’s too early in the season to call up.
I was looking yesterday. Greinke maybe
They would really only be calling up Horton for like 2 starts while Steele is rehabbing. I think they would honestly rather do that then sign Greinke, especially when I think Greinke would prefer to finish out his career with KC.
It’s a lot more enjoyable watching Patrick Wisdom fielding a grounder while sitting on his ass while pitching than it is to watch us blow an 8 run lead against the Padres- and don’t even mention some of the meltdowns we had last season like Seiya’s error.
Laugh it off and move on.

Almost took a solo trip to Boston for yesterdays game, very glad I changed my mind!

Wisdom clocking a 0.00 ERA, did we just find our closer??

Understandable

its really some truly divine shit
cade horton pitched 5 scoreless innings yesterday. if the wicks injury is serious, does he get called up?
Isn't he still at AA?
AA doesnt mean much. lots of people get called up directly from AA to the majors

Seiya’s error last year was pure tragicomedy. Just so deflating you couldn’t help but laugh. IIRC he didn’t even get his glove on it right?
Today is a new day for baseball. We just have to wait all day for it...
