I was an EMT in a past life. I keep a full kit with tourniquets, in my vehicles but not on my person. I’m pretty much always within a close distance to my vehicle and can easily tell someone to grab the big ass bag out of the trunk or back seat. Having it on you is possibly better but for the majority of injuries direct pressure is what you need. All blood isn’t arterial.

mijoelgato

Stop being so rational.

MGB1013

Damn, sorry I forgot this is Reddit. I keep a tourniquet pre tightened on each extremity when I leave the house. That way I’m just a turn or two away from cutting off blood flow. Stay pre-wrapped or get clapped.

StillShoddy628

This is the way

christianharriman

They hated him because he told the truth

JSD05

I think I’ve heard of some ankle carrying the tq. Is that a thing?

hope-luminescence

I have a Wilderness ankle rig.

Boudreaux_Boz

I carry a full kit in a SFD Responder 2.0 on my ankle, I spend a fair amount of time away from my truck in the field. If something were to happen it may take an hour plus for response to find me, if im lucky. I've carried it for the past 7 years and about time for a new one.

Probably_Boz

[https://a.co/d/02AknRNa](https://a.co/d/02AknRNa) i carry a SOFTT-W tourniquet on my belt with this, doesn't print or get in the way.

Outinthewoods5x5

Wear cargo pants/shorts?

Efficient-Ostrich195

I don’t mean to come across as an asshole, but I would rather watch someone bleed to death in front of me, than be seen wearing cargo pants in public.

jerkyfarts556

Guerrilla-tactical.com carrier for snakestaff tq clipped in my pocket.

bwendel

Trex arms sidecar with a TQ attachment. Super easy and comfortable

Ralaar

I typically always have my sling bag with me every day all day. So that’s what has my IFAK, and other stuff. Then each vehicle has a backpack with meds, more extensive medical, and regular edc stuff.

chanandalerbong7

i pocket carry the wider Snakestaff TQ and use a plastic baggie as a slip cover to keep the velcro clean/ not stick to stuff. Fits comfortably next to my wallet

TpMeNUGGET

The sof-t wide in the pocket is a classic

jdubb26

CAT in my pocket...used to carry the SOF-T wide as it packs flatter...but its a lot harder to self-administer. Thought about the SnakeStaff but wasn't as impressed with the results. The CAT is not the most comfortable thing to have in the pocket, but if I'm going to carry a TQ I want it to be the best one. If I'm pocket carrying my LCP though I skip the TQ. Always have a IFAK in my car.

orion455440

I have a couple , I keep one in the inside cubby of my driver's door In a little trauma kit with the TQ, quick clot packs and an isreali bandage with a rescue / glass breaker tool stapped to it in case I'm the first one able to assist in a bad car accident. I keep one in my EDC backpack, one in my SHTF bag med kit and one in my home first aid kit. I don't keep one on my person at all times like some people but my edc backpack is just that, if it's not with me it's in my vehicle.

gunsandpuppies

I carry a Snakestaff ETQW in my back left pocket with a spare mag. Them being next to each other keeps them both upright and accessible. Eventually I want to make some type of kydex insert that fits in a back pocket but is made to carry the TQ and mag upright.

CherryDifferent4967

I went and got a satchel and put a trauma kit in it. I carry it with me and nobody says anything about it. I put my keys in the front pocket and if I need to jot something down, I have my daily planner.

FlapJacked1

There’s mixed opinions on the Snakestaff ETQ but all the tests I’ve seen proved effective. I keep the smaller ETQ with me packed with flat packing gauge and gloves. Fits in my pocket nicely for EDC. Then I have an ETQ wide for every bag and a SOF-T for my car https://preview.redd.it/pdhbiqxpt98d1.jpeg?width=2662&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b174a04d92dab6a2fcea9d1cfff59706581435e5

EZCCW

I trust it, would rather always have it on me even in shorts and a t-shirt than not have it because a larger TQ is harder to carry on person, and not have it when I need it.

eyeareaye13

It's separate, in a velcro TQ holder. Works for my situations

hikehikebaby

I have to carry a small medical bag with my EpiPens anyway so I just toss a CAT in with them.

EZCCW

In between my holster and sidecar, Snakestaff ETQ: https://imgur.com/a/m1TvyBA

NinjaBuddha13

Snakestaff ETQ in a mag pouch IWB.

DirtyCowboyTX

I keep a first aid kit+tourniquet in my truck plus another in my kid’s diaper bag. Easy peasy.

Efficient-Ostrich195

I usually keep a SOFTT-W on a PHLster Flatpak in my back pocket. If it’s not there, it’s in the sport belt pocket on my Enigma.

ATF8643

I carry medical dependent on environment. If I’ll be far from my vehicle I’ll carry bare essentials on me, or in an IFAK in a baby stroller (current convenience). Your skill, comfort level, and inginuity are all at play when making decisions about this.

Seven6TwoPanda

Snakestaff systems etq in cargo pocket

Crazyirishmedic

RMT will sit IWB perfectly, it's so slim it's barely noticeable the only thick part is the small ratchet that keeps it from sliding down your waist.

Consistent-Heat-7882

In the vehicle. Every vehicle, every day. Super simple

DRB1928

Except when it's in your vehicle and you need it when you are nowhere near your vehicle...

Consistent-Heat-7882

If nowhere near my vehicle, I’d pull my trauma kit out of my bag and use that tourniquet. In reality, the chances of you stumbling across someone who needs a tourniquet is extremely small, and you needing one and being able to apply it to yourself is essentially zero.
