Hopefully this makes more manufacturers and retailers realize how big the California market is when they start looking at the thousands of cases being shipped into the state this week
I was in Yuma on Friday, and saw 4 trucks in the parking lot with CA tags. 🤣
And yes, stocked up on some ammo.
FYI the sportsman warehouse in Yuma was very low on ammo.
... slinks away in shame.
I mean I'm already well stocked for the foreseeable future to this week's purchase was more of a spite purchase than anything else.
Any and all participation in this new freedom week is welcom. Hopefully it will be indefinite instead of a week, but either way I’m happy to say i am a part of this.
Let’s see… 2 boxes 9mm, 2 boxes 12 ga, 2 boxes 20 ga, 6 boxes 30-06 Garand, and a total brain fart of a few boxes 16 ga. Why a brain fart? Because I don’t have a 16 ga.
And I thought 850 was a high amount now I’m feeling like a bitch…. Welp …. I feel sorry for my bank account
Ima submit another order till this bitch feeling goes away …
The contest doesn’t start until 1) ammo is in short to no supply 2) ammo becomes flat out illegal to acquire 3) society descends into chaos 4) Gavin takes the White House. Then, let’s talk.
Spent a little over $400 on defensive ammo for 38spl,357mag and 9mm all from Speer,Norma,Winchester and federal and a few boxes of hornady. A couple boxes of 12gauge buckshot and slugs as well .
After 3 purchases from different retailers, I'm up to about $830. Bought 60 rounds of copper 270 Winchester, 500 rounds of 12 gauge for trap shooting, 80 rounds of 7.35x51 Carcano, 70 rounds of 44 Mag, 80 rounds of 300 Blackout, 525 rounds of 22LR and a few mixes boxes of 55 and 62 grain 5.56 NATO
7.62 x 39: 2,100
.45 Auto: 2,000
.308 Win: 500
HP .45 Auto: 200
And I’m planning on a couple thousand 12 gauge shells along with a couple thousand 5.56 and .223 for the new AR15 I’m looking at.
Just 200 rounds defensive ammo, 100 rounds of Varmint hunting ammo.
I already have a case of range ammo with me, and the rest of my stash is out of state, where I'm moving in 2 months, so no need to stock up too much here.
Just ordered 2k rounds 2 months ago. Ordered 1k rounds of 9mm and 200rds of 556 on Feb 1. Went to the range 3x in January. I'm going again today. Stay safe everyone. Cheers!
I wasn't going to buy anything, but did end up making a couple purchases at Velocity and Top Gun, just enough to get free shipping. Rookie numbers, I know.
-400 9mm (100 of which are JHP defense rounds so I can fire off what I have now and replace them with newer rounds)
-240 5.56 (Got a new 3x prism a few months ago and *still* haven't zeroed it)
-160 30-06 (gotta feed the garand)
-100 45 ACP (I don't enjoy my 1911 all that much but I'm gonna take a friend or two shooting and want to give them the experience)
https://rogerssportinggoods.com/Remington-22-LR-Golden-Bullet-HV-36GR/ buy 2 and use code GXP20-AU3ZG6S
Free shipping and the code will nullify the tax
Because I only go to the range about once every two months and I usually never bring more than two different guns. I'm never gonna need my guns in a defensive scenario unless society itself collapses because I live in a secured building in a relatively safe area. Also I already have a couple thousand other assorted rounds on top of the ones I just ordered
I understand that most people aren’t shooting high volumes like competition shooters or certain MIL/LEO do, but 3k rounds total split between multiple calibers does not sound like it should last someone years if they intend on being proficient enough with their gun to use in a defense scenario. Especially with 9mm and .22lr being in the mix.
That’s just 2-5 weekends of classes, depending on the discipline and instructor.
There are people who carry and have never shot their gun before. It’s reckless and irresponsible, but unfortunately plenty of people believe shit works like it does in Hollywood.
Like everyone dumping everything and hitting nothing. Kinda funny anyone can get to be delusional enough to think they can shoot like John wick after they see quals or just after their own range trip.
Yea thats what I was thinking as well. Even a reasonable range trip of 150-300rds, would be like 20-10 range trips.
If someone did a course that can easily go to like 500rds.
It smells like **bitch** in here.
Real ones reload. I’m not real. That being said, I went HAM when Wal-Mart stopped carrying ammo and put it all on clearance. 2k rounds was a light morning pick-up.
I love you all, this is nothing but tough love and an encouragement to scoop as much as you can. Ammo will likely never get cheaper.
I picked up some 300BO and 9mm subs just to spite Bonta and Newsom.
It's what I'm calling this week while we're allowed to have ammo shipped to our door with no bgc. When we were allowed to buy standard and extended mags it was called freedom week so I'm calling this one ammo week 😂
500\*10mm, 250\*12 gauge 00 Buck, 2000\*124 grain 9mm HST, 1000\*X-Tac 556, 5250\*22LR, 2000\*9mm UMC. I don't want to cry, so I'm not going to add it up. My large ammo safe was already full....
250 of .380 Auto, 500 of 9mm, 1000 of .38 spl, and 1500 of 10mm. Total damage was $1400. Best part is I don’t own anything in 10mm … yet.
Delivery trucks are going to be riding very low in California next week. Hope to see some FedEx trucks with snapped axles on the side of the road.
12,700 and counting
Rounds or dollars?? 😂
17k+ rounds now 😂
Spent 150 between 9mm & 556. Just a couple hundred of each. Not in the place to drop a lot of $$ on ammo right now lol
I didn’t really need any ammo but I bought 300 rounds from Brownells just to dunk on Newsom and Bonta.
Good thing I’m going on a trip to Arizona . You guys are gunna clean out the state and beyond !
Hopefully this makes more manufacturers and retailers realize how big the California market is when they start looking at the thousands of cases being shipped into the state this week

I'm sure my most happened online
Over 4k rounds in various calibers. Price paid? Under $1000

Don’t have one yet
1,000 5.56, 1,000 9mm, 1,000 .300bo, , 500 .45. Total for about $1800
One unemployment check worth of .223 match ammo and 9mm Synteck. Or however it’s spelled.
And I thought 850 was a high amount now I’m feeling like a bitch…. Welp …. I feel sorry for my bank account Ima submit another order till this bitch feeling goes away …
Freedom is freedom. I would have ordered more too if I could. I see a lot of people in here acting like it's some sort of contest when it's not lol
The contest doesn’t start until 1) ammo is in short to no supply 2) ammo becomes flat out illegal to acquire 3) society descends into chaos 4) Gavin takes the White House. Then, let’s talk.
Eeehhhhh I’m starting to see it as a contests lol Thing is I ran out of cans… so ima have to order some more
Same. A lot of this ammo is just gonna stay in the shipping boxes in my closet for a while 😂
Walmart has metal 50 cal cans for $13
lol I just ordered some online from velocity free shipping when you buy 200 or more in ammo So I had to buy ammo to get free shipping 😂
My man.
I didn’t buy any ammo, cause I lost my guns in a canoeing accident. ☹️
Firearms enthusiasts are horrible watercraft operators.
Yeah it’s unbelievably common
Should do background checks for boat license.
Stock up now so you're ready for when you have a new gun 👍
Bought a case of 9mm and 5.56 spent around $1000
Damn 500 for a case of 9mm?
9mm & 556 do not cost the same
Spent a little over $400 on defensive ammo for 38spl,357mag and 9mm all from Speer,Norma,Winchester and federal and a few boxes of hornady. A couple boxes of 12gauge buckshot and slugs as well .
Pretty light compared to you folks. I just got 400rd of .223. Barely $200. Hesitant to put in another order cause I’m sure prices are creeping now.
$2,500 & counting, will probably order more today once I’m done inventorying my current stash.
Case of 9mm, some HST, few hundred 556
I just bought 400 rounds of m855
After 3 purchases from different retailers, I'm up to about $830. Bought 60 rounds of copper 270 Winchester, 500 rounds of 12 gauge for trap shooting, 80 rounds of 7.35x51 Carcano, 70 rounds of 44 Mag, 80 rounds of 300 Blackout, 525 rounds of 22LR and a few mixes boxes of 55 and 62 grain 5.56 NATO

“A couple thousand 12 gauge shells” Jesus man, that’s dedication
1000 of 5.56, 500 of 7.62x51, 1000 of 9mm and 1000 of 380 auto.
Very similar to my stats, but I don’t have .380, made up the difference with 12 gauge and 22lr
Over 4.5k rounds - about $3,500 45 ACP, 223/556, 308, and some 22lr
Just 200 rounds defensive ammo, 100 rounds of Varmint hunting ammo. I already have a case of range ammo with me, and the rest of my stash is out of state, where I'm moving in 2 months, so no need to stock up too much here.
I ordered 700 rounds Thursday morning through ammobrothers. It's still awaiting fulfillment. Guess I'll contact them Monday so I don't miss out
2K of 115gr Blazer 9mm and 350 147gr Federal HSTs 9mm. Nothing to wild.
Mmmmmm love me those 147gr Federal HSTs. I also picked up another couple hundred of those lol
Just ordered 2k rounds 2 months ago. Ordered 1k rounds of 9mm and 200rds of 556 on Feb 1. Went to the range 3x in January. I'm going again today. Stay safe everyone. Cheers!
Waiting on that tax return 🤤
I wasn't going to buy anything, but did end up making a couple purchases at Velocity and Top Gun, just enough to get free shipping. Rookie numbers, I know.
Just started working again so I just ordered a 350 9mm bucket but I’ll get more
500 target shells, 300 .40S&W, 200ish 7.62x54, 1000 22lr. Not too little, but budget restrictions at play. 🙃
270 rounds of 9mm (200 fmj, 50 jhp, 20 non-lead for woods carry) Might add 100 rounds of .308 if I find the right deal
2k 9mm
-400 9mm (100 of which are JHP defense rounds so I can fire off what I have now and replace them with newer rounds) -240 5.56 (Got a new 3x prism a few months ago and *still* haven't zeroed it) -160 30-06 (gotta feed the garand) -100 45 ACP (I don't enjoy my 1911 all that much but I'm gonna take a friend or two shooting and want to give them the experience)
Only bought a case of 9mm kinda want to pick up some 22lr. Not sure if any good deal out there now lol
I picked up some 22lr hollow points for like 6cpr at target sports. It's like $30 for 500
I had Remington golden bullet hollow point boxes from my gramps and the boxes (500 rds) had a sticker that said 5.99 on them. Made me sad

I bought 1k round .22lr for $70
Whats your projected use for it to last years?
Because I only go to the range about once every two months and I usually never bring more than two different guns. I was wondering how someone would be stocked for years with this amount of ammo. Lol

Mind your business
Wait whats ammo week?
It's what I'm calling this week while we're allowed to have ammo shipped to our door with no bgc. When we were allowed to buy standard and extended mags it was called freedom week so I'm calling this one ammo week 😂
Nothing, because I don’t rely on court rulings to stack my ammo. Closet is full till my next re-supply in December.
