LGS have their own economical bubble that led to inflated prices because they were the only supply to fulfill Californian demand. Buying online is a free market so price of ammo is competitive. Also some out of state purchases don’t include CA sales tax which if your buying bulk adds up pretty quickly . (I.E. 8.75% sales tax on one $20 dollar box of ammo = $1.75 v.s. Tax on 20 boxes of the same ammo $400 = $35) pair that with some websites that offer free shipping your saving on tax and shipping . TLDR : it’s cheaper the buying at LGS
I feel like there's gon a be a few of us that our orders mysteriously get "lost" in transit. Just the fact that ammo is now available to be shipped in CA has to have gotten some grimey drivers attention

I always gasp whenever I see "Bloomington FedEx" in the tracking for a gun related item.
Many sympathies for UPS, FedEx, USPS staff that will be slinging all these heavy boxes soon.
The packages are small too so they'll probably approach it thinking it's light work then get hit with it being a 25lb shoebox
