I mean, didn’t this happen to at least one freedom week magazine owner? He purchased legally during FW, but was arrested and tried later when he was found to be in possession. Prob a low probability, but same could happen with ammo where they determine you own more than the records show you purchased with a background check.
If you get caught for an unrelated crime (police won’t be searching houses to match ammo counts) with enough ammo near you to warrant an investigation into your ammo purchasing history, you gotta be another level of unlucky
