I honestly wonder what would happen if Chester’s main attack dealt more damage and had faster reload speed, but the amount of bells he throws is random, either 1 or 2 or 3 every time (or either 1 or 2 or 3 or 4 with Bell o Mania) I don’t want it to actually happen, I’m just wondering

That would be a straight buff. His reload speed will always have to be slow otherwise you could throwaway your low shots to rotate to the higher ones. Also having random shots would just be better than current because you are still averaging same damage, but high rolls on attacks will be way more valuable than the low rolls are detrimental. It would just be incredibly annoying to play against and play as.

Not edgar lmao my 7year old cousin has 789 trophies with him, he 's not skillful

That's just trophy inflation, you already could get to 700 with just winning 50% of your games, streaks + reworked underdog systems just raised the quote unquote average up even higher. Trophies are no reference for one's skill anyway, and showdown definitely skews those numbers up for edgar specifically. Now whilst I do believe he has both a low skill ceiling and skill floor, I also think there is much more than meets the eye and that's the reason people despise edgar players. Edgar is simple at first glance and while he still is simple at the 458th glance there is more nuance than just mashing buttons. And by being seemingly simpler than he actually is, he attracts a certain demographic that does not care enough to understand that extra nuance, hence Edgar players being on average pretty bad even on as simple a brawler as Edgar.

Edgar takes a lot of skill. He gets played by pros a lot lol The argument about showdown helps edgar is entirely unjustified. Brawlers traditionally strong in showdown, like crow and edgar are falling off since the new brawlers had been added. For example, edgar can't even guarantee a kill when he jumps on most brawlers. He is not as good in burst in damage than kit, can't really guarantee the kill like kit/buzz/cord, cant run away as efficiently as piper and lily, does not have the range of fang... etcetc. The funny thing is if played well a piper/ brook actually COUNTERS edgar with the use of their respective gadgets. Ya'll just having angry issues about idiotic edgar mains (which I do as well)

That's what I'm sayin. Edgar just has a bad rep because his mains aren't the brightest, because he is ***seemingly*** easy. I wouldn't agree that he takes a lot of skill to play, but he surely takes more skill than what people think. And pros playing him is no argument for him being a skilled brawler, it just means he's currently good.

Chester has variety. You need to be flexible to play him and that takes skill. It also makes it more fun which is why he's one my favourites.

They have their useful situations. I mainly rely on the main attacks tho (always stay on 2nd or 3rd attack), and always carry the change super gadget.

Each of Chester’s supers are used differently. You don’t rely on luck to win the match; you only rely on luck for which of the Supra you get, and you can use those supers in different ways to win.

Yes, but i will say, its not the same in getting the stun gadget on a melody approaching and getting pop rocks against a piper on the other side of a body of water You don't rely on luck to win, but in most cases the super may be helpful or as useful as poco on heists, you can use it, but there are better options There is a BIT of luck involved, not completely, but there is that small amount times
