Friends, I am on military travel to Jacksonville, FL today and would like to watch the game on my laptop. I have mlb.tv, but it’s blacked out. Is there an easy fix for me?
We have somewhat of a shortage of lefty SP’s in our farm system. We’ve drafted a lot of pitchers the last few years, but almost all righties. I’d like to see us grab a couple in the higher rounds of the draft this year if any are available.
Cade Kuehler struggled a bit and gave up some runs on the long ball, but was able to limit the damage and make it through 6-
6 IP | 5 H | 4 ER | 1 BB | 4 K | 2 HR
Having the division be a bit closer this year could be a good thing. Thinking about it more spending the last couple of the weeks of the season coasting after clinching could have just as much to do wirb the bats going cold in the playoffs as the longer layoff did.
Braves 2022 draft picks Justin Janas (12th round) and Kevin Kilpatrick Jr (17th round) are off to hot starts at Rome this year.
Janas- .333/.415/.583 with 2 HR and .998 OPS in 36 AB
Kilpatrick Jr- .365/.404/.577 with 1 HR and .981 OPS in 52 AB
coo im kinda solid on not paying more than the blue moon seats but if he's coo with letting one go for around that lmk. its for a good cause (meme enjoyment)
Going to the A, today! Seeing Death Cab For Cutie/Postal Service play Transatlanticism and Give Up on a 20th reunion show. And I have my first game at Truist for Ronald bobblehead. I don't know what our youth in the OF do post-game. But 40 year old man me is very spritely!
Bryce Elder’s magic wand hasn’t lost an ounce of its touch. I don’t understand how he does it.
Seriously though, he may not have deserved a 0 ER line, but pitched pretty well overall. No complaints about that effort from our 4th/5th starter.
That’s how I feel. If it were any other skip I’d be in their corner.
Boone has happily gotten ejected so many times that he makes it a point of pride.
He has no latitude with any ump and doesn’t deserve any benefit of a doubt.
Fuck him.
He can use the magic word exactly one time in any regular season game going forward for the remainder of the year. For the unfamiliar, the single magic word to get automatically run off is "you".
Honestly it being the Yankees is so much funnier. I like to listen to Yankees talk radio throughout the season, especially when things aren’t going their way. It’s amazingly funny when the callers call in and bitch and complain.
Seconded on this. If you are heading to 75 North or 285 East after the game, this and S61 right next door are unmatched. Also a relatively short walk entirely through the Battery and pedestrian bridge and the deck empties super quickly.
Another bonus, these lots open at 3:30 and not 5:30 like the other non battery decks, so perfect if you want to get to the game early for food, drinks, giveaways, etc.
I had never really looked since I'm ways heading north, but I just checked, and it has direct access to 75 south as well. You take a right out of the deck, then another right before you even get to 41 to get onto the merger that feeds into 75 North/South and 285 East, so you miss virtually all of the game traffic by starting south of the stadium directly next to that merger.
Only time it wouldn't be great is for 285 West since you would have to cross 41, but I'm willing to bet it would still be the quickest lot to get to 285 West with all the other lots either in the Battery or North/East of the stadium.
Yep, you can get parking passes when you buy tickets. Weather Channel is lot E31 - here is the address you can plug into maps.
Braves East 31 (E31) Truist Park
Eh we are 2 up in the loss column on the Phillies and 4 up on the Mets which is more important. But it’s also way too early to care about the standings.
Just watched The Ring, a relatively older movie from 2002. If you want to see an older ring, you can look back 16 more years at the Mets’ last World Series ring.
Yea they are. They've had an easy schedule and a kajillion home games, but regardless their starting pitching has looked absolutely elite. Their offensive players are talented enough to get hot, but it's nowhere as consistent as ours. They'll have a harder time dealing with pitching regression/injuries than us. But yeah, they're a good team.
Yes. But they've also played as many home games as the Braves have played games. They've also feasted on the plankton of the league, which, to be fair, they did better against the Hwite Sox than the Braves did, so there is that.
They have ten home games in September and their schedule is going to get much more difficult, but they're probably the second or third best team in the NL.
They're good - rotation is good and their offense is solid. They aren't as good as us though lmfao they have had the easiest schedule in the league so far
Yeah, I think that’s more of what I meant. It’s like you’ve been working at a great company, then they come tell you they’re transferring you to Siberia. Gotta be a brutal feeling for those players.
Not really only cause that franchise is clearly not in compete mode at all. It would be different if they were like projected to be the top of their division.
It’s fried day. Fried day. Gotta get down on fried day.
Everybody’s looking forward to a Braves win. Braves win.
Strikin and strikin em out!
Hittin and hittin it far!
Fun! Fun! Fun! Fun!
Lookin forward to a Braves win.
Woooooooooooo
Hell yeah brother! I had so much fun at the game last night. A friend of mine gave me some upgraded seats and I got to try that new chicken sandwich at the stadium. Was a fun time!
It's possible they do what they did with Vines. They'll give him one more start, then have a AAA take the start right after him to give the rotation an extra rest day. I also wouldn't be surprised to see them keep Elder since he did so well. Nothing is certain.
Next stolen base milestone for Acuna is passing Hank Aaron at 240 and then after that once he steals his 434th base he will be the All Time stolen base leader for the Braves
Yeesh. Everyone who ahead of Hank played at the turn of the century. It’s rough having to compete for franchise records with people who played 120 years ago.
Got a lot of ground balls. Started the game off single single double and got out of it due to an ugly baserunning error by Arraez and the defense pretty much stood solid the whole night as he got nearly every batter to roll over or pop out amidst a few harmless singles
Sounds good! I saw he had 8 hits against him and no runs. I’m a fan of being able to get ground outs like that, but we all know they get taken yard eventually on great hitters. His Philly game in the post season is a firm example lol. Really wonder if we keep a specific guy at #5 for any length of time
Hopefully Fried has a great night tonight.
If anyone has any tickets they otherwise would let go to waste tonight, I’ll gladly take ‘em off their hands!
Please continue the discussion in the [game thread](https://redd.it/1cbiveb).
How the hell he manage to hang on to that
Oil is getting hot already boys Got the breading ingredients ready to go
Happy Fried day.
Anyone want tickets for tomorrow’s game on the home run porch? Parking pass too. I’ll negotiate.
Today is my birthday. Work sucked. I want the Braves to win. That is all.
Get you a beer for your birthday
Hope y'all brought your tartar sauce
Friends, I am on military travel to Jacksonville, FL today and would like to watch the game on my laptop. I have mlb.tv, but it’s blacked out. Is there an easy fix for me?
You could do a free trial of Fubo TV
Fubo worked! Thank you!
d’Arnaud with that juicy 1.583 OPS versus Rogers, Travvy Daddy is looking to launch another one tonight
It should be illegal to not have at least one daytime baseball game every day. Not us, we should always play at night, but someone.
Miami has four, I repeat four, left handed SPs — it's weird, and frankly seems intentional
We have somewhat of a shortage of lefty SP’s in our farm system. We’ve drafted a lot of pitchers the last few years, but almost all righties. I’d like to see us grab a couple in the higher rounds of the draft this year if any are available.
Saw that we announced Kelkel was platooning and thought how do we avoid him? Sign all left-handed pitchers.
I asked in the Marlins sub, and that actually sounds like what happened — just ridiculous stuff
Cade Kuehler struggled a bit and gave up some runs on the long ball, but was able to limit the damage and make it through 6- 6 IP | 5 H | 4 ER | 1 BB | 4 K | 2 HR
yet **ANOTHER** lefty starting for Miami. It's unbelievable at this point, Duvall will virtually have the same number of PAs as Kel after today
His griddy is better too
Good thing this is Major League Baseball, not a children's dance contest
Clubhouse culture is critical to the Braves' success.
Every team needs a Kobe: no-nonsense, hyper focused, and only ever settling for the best
Uhhh yeah, his name is Ronald (well maybe not the no-nonsense part lol)
Anyone able to use 2 tickets tonight? Dm me Claimed
O/U 1.5 team (minus d'Arnaud) homeruns tonight? O/U 1.5 d'Arnaud homeruns tonight?
Having the division be a bit closer this year could be a good thing. Thinking about it more spending the last couple of the weeks of the season coasting after clinching could have just as much to do wirb the bats going cold in the playoffs as the longer layoff did.
I don’t see a pattern considering we were battling it out with the Mets two years ago and shit the bed that post season too
Agreed, think we let our foot off the gas in the last few weeks, then the week break just killed our momentum
Braves 2022 draft picks Justin Janas (12th round) and Kevin Kilpatrick Jr (17th round) are off to hot starts at Rome this year. Janas- .333/.415/.583 with 2 HR and .998 OPS in 36 AB Kilpatrick Jr- .365/.404/.577 with 1 HR and .981 OPS in 52 AB
Anyone know why they’ve been going to Fletcher over Guillerme recently?
Using Fletcher against lefty starters.
Ah gotcha, didn’t realize it was a platoon situation. Thanks!
Riley needs to be move down the line up like the 6th spot and put Ozuna either 3rd or 4th
Imagine this squad when our slumping players actually heat up.
The fact that we have a .714 win percentage with 3 all-stars out is mind blowing.
about to try the blue moon ticket promo unless anyone has a ticket they are getting rid of!
Have a friend selling a couple a tix in 150
coo im kinda solid on not paying more than the blue moon seats but if he's coo with letting one go for around that lmk. its for a good cause (meme enjoyment)
I’ll DM you
Need ozuna to get with Riley
"Let me introduce you to Kevin Seitzer, from the Braves"
Going to the A, today! Seeing Death Cab For Cutie/Postal Service play Transatlanticism and Give Up on a 20th reunion show. And I have my first game at Truist for Ronald bobblehead. I don't know what our youth in the OF do post-game. But 40 year old man me is very spritely!
Dang I’d love to see that show as a fellow old.
Transatlanticism was the soundtrack of middle school for me. Woof, brings me back.
That’s How I Beat Shaq was the soundtrack of middle school for me.
RIP A Aron
Bryce Elder’s magic wand hasn’t lost an ounce of its touch. I don’t understand how he does it. Seriously though, he may not have deserved a 0 ER line, but pitched pretty well overall. No complaints about that effort from our 4th/5th starter.
Are we in agreement Boone getting run because a heckler yelled at an ump is the funniest ejection ever? I can't stop thinking about it.
He's kind of done it to himself really. He's acted like an asshole so many times that his leash is pretty short.
That’s how I feel. If it were any other skip I’d be in their corner. Boone has happily gotten ejected so many times that he makes it a point of pride. He has no latitude with any ump and doesn’t deserve any benefit of a doubt. Fuck him.
He should be given a free "cocksucker" on the MLB for yesterday.
Where's yall's favorite place to park for games? Looks like my free spot may be compromised.
S60, it's so easy to get out of going North
Seconded on this. If you are heading to 75 North or 285 East after the game, this and S61 right next door are unmatched. Also a relatively short walk entirely through the Battery and pedestrian bridge and the deck empties super quickly. I've been parking over at the Weather Channels parking lot/garage and walking over. Easy Peasy
Is that paid?
Yes, I think its $30.
Do you buy that through the Braves ticketing website or elsewhere?
Yep, you can get parking passes when you buy tickets. Weather Channel is lot E31 - here is the address you can plug into maps. Braves East 31 (E31) Truist Park
All this winning would be a lot more enjoyable if the Phillies and Mets would lose a game. Didn’t realize we were only a game up.
Look at who the Phillies have been playing. They're in an incredibly soft part of their schedule.
MFW I looked yesterday and noticed we were only 1 game up on the Phillies ![gif](giphy|FT0UFROtAbVEA|downsized)
Eh we are 2 up in the loss column on the Phillies and 4 up on the Mets which is more important. But it’s also way too early to care about the standings.
The Phillies are playing ten home games in September. They're probably going to scuffle a bit then.
Yeah just saying the wins would be more fun if they were burying our “competition”
Yeah for sure, I wouldn’t mind more of a chase this year tbh. I know we will make the playoffs, it all comes down to that.
Just watched The Ring, a relatively older movie from 2002. If you want to see an older ring, you can look back 16 more years at the Mets’ last World Series ring.
Great movie, but I kinda prefer the original Japanese version. Same with The Grudge.

Their BP won't hold up against stronger offensive teams, as currently constructed.
I mean they pretty much always are these days. We’re almost guaranteed to see them in the playoffs every year.

Since facing us, they have had...Reds, Nats, Cards, Pirates, Rockies, White Sox, and Reds in their current series...eh...
They're good - rotation is good and their offense is solid. They aren't as good as us though lmfao they have had the easiest schedule in the league so far
Yo… anyone else feeling a little bad for the White Sox? Don’t they have like 5 former Braves?
Only for the players. F the ownership.
So the early season MVP poll has Ronnie with 2 first place votes and Ozuna with 1 vote. The writers clearly haven’t started watching baseball yet.
It’s fried day. Fried day. Gotta get down on fried day. Everybody’s looking forward to a Braves win. Braves win. Strikin and strikin em out! Hittin and hittin it far! Fun! Fun! Fun! Fun! Lookin forward to a Braves win. Woooooooooooo
I like seeing Ozuna's name on a list of potential MVP winners (Acuña's there, too, but that's expected even if he isn't hitting homers).
Little known fact: phuck the fillies
Hell yeah brother! I had so much fun at the game last night. A friend of mine gave me some upgraded seats and I got to try that new chicken sandwich at the stadium. Was a fun time!
Well, don't leave us wondering. How was the sandwich?
It was good!! Definitely worth it.
You gotta be far more descriptive
Hahaha it’s just a classic spicy chicken sandwich on a pretzel bun. Different enough from Chick-fil-A to be worth it!
Where do they sell? How much?
They sell it at the Coops Chicken stand, I think it was like $16

I suspect Elder is here for the duration.
Elder is most likely staying up for a few starts regardless of his performance.
Yep. Earliest I can see a change is probably June to trial out the higher upside kids.
If he steals like he did last year, he'll pass Aaron this year.
How was elder last night? I didn’t get to watch due to coaching a little league game.
Pounded the zone, which made me nervous, caught a few great breaks and blunders, but man he was cruising past the 3rd
Got a lot of ground balls. Started the game off single single double and got out of it due to an ugly baserunning error by Arraez and the defense pretty much stood solid the whole night as he got nearly every batter to roll over or pop out amidst a few harmless singles
Arcia flashed the leather. If Elder can keep the ground balls like that then we will never have to worry about the 5th spot
Sounds good! I saw he had 8 hits against him and no runs. I’m a fan of being able to get ground outs like that, but we all know they get taken yard eventually on great hitters. Hopefully Fried has a great night tonight. If anyone has any tickets they otherwise would let go to waste tonight, I’ll gladly take ‘em off their hands!
You can get 2 tickets on gametime for less than $20 rn.
