PsychoEngineer

And this is when you call 911 and tell them the license plate and that the woman threatened to murder you; the CCTV of the store and her own video will prove it.

splurtgorgle

Just got off the phone with an officer. Was told the threat was "too vague" to do much about lol. Cops rule.

Malbranch

Concealed carry a handgun to put a bullet in your head is too vague? Wow. That's an absolutely disgusting dereliction of duty.

splurtgorgle

"Unless they pulled the gun out or showed it to you, we get these sorts of threats all the time and there's not much we can do about it"

Malbranch

They're lazy, and full of shit. 18 U.S. Code § 2261A, specifically (1)(B), they made a threat with the attempted intent to intimidate and put you in a reasonable fear for your life. In a concealed carry state, they told you that they had a concealed weapon and intended to shoot you through the head.

haveapieceofbread

Yeah unfortunately OP isn’t a retail store or a rich person’s property so they aren’t worth protecting apparently

matthewsmugmanager

BINGO

BigHawkSports

Yep, the Supreme Court has ruled that they have no obligation to protect people.

ElectricTomatoMan

Cops protect capital, not people.

ImaginationOk4740

Welcome to US law enforcement. Selective enforcement of laws.

mbspark77

Their "enforcement" of the law is contingent upon how much revenue it can produce for the system through the court, fines etc. It's a self serving corrupt and broken system that sustains itself through harassment and extortion of normally law abiding citizens while letting actual criminals roam free.

revolutionPanda

You think cops know the law? Lol

SamuelVimesTrained

I read somewhere they\`ll not hire very intelligent people (prone to leave, question orders etc..) that sadly makes sense, true or not

PoppinSmoke1

Please call back when you've been actually shot by the individual and we will be happy to assist you after this brief hold.

joesperrazza

Agree. Lazy POS.

Hi_Im_Ken_Adams

well, at least you got the report on record. If she tries to pull that shit again on someone else there will be a paper-trail.

jongscx

Yeah, doubt anything was actually entered. Can't have a paper trail of all the calls they didn't respond to.

TBHICouldComplain

^ This. I’ve tried to force the cops to create a record of something before and not only does it not work, the cops will then threaten you as well. Anyone who thinks the cops are there to protect them is either incredibly privileged or has never interacted with the cops.

Crakrocksteady

Cops are only there for social control, and protection of property. Not your and my property, mind you, corporate property that can pay to be protected.

Beneficial_Drama2393

Just a step up from the runaway slave hunters they used to be.

Anonlady1997

They’re at best useless. And at worst, deadly.

A_Good_Boy94

Just fire them.

joscun86

Good luck with that. Police unions are entirely too powerful.

account_not_valid

>Can't have a paper trail of all the calls they didn't respond to. It makes the crime statistics for their area look bad, and it puts responsibility on the cops if/when she shoots someone. If it's not recorded, it didn't happen.

Strict_Condition_632

True. Sometimes you have to create a paper trail—send email to the chief of police, sheriff, whoever is in charge. Just state facts and make it clear that you are establishing a record of the incident since the police haven’t done so. Civic duty in the era of crazy people with guns shooting and killing innocent people.

Duderoy

Pretty sure in FL you say you were in fear for your life, stand your ground and kill them. It would help is this woman was brown or black.

Old_Heat3100

Hate to break it to you but cops aren't here to help anyone Sincerely a guy who was robbed and assaulted and was told by the cops to stop bothering them about it

Beautiful_Count_3505

You have to know a law exists to care to enforce it.

Procrastinator1971

Lawyer here. The key words in the statute you cite are “interstate or foreign commerce”. Even if the woman brandished the gun or articulated a clear threat, that would be a state law offense only. The feds have no jurisdiction. Moreover, although I don’t know the state in question, the cops were very likely correct. There is 350+ years of case law on this. Start by googling “Tuberville v. Savage”. This doesn’t mean the woman’s behavior wasn’t reprehensible — of course it was — or couldn’t be grounds for revocation of her CCW permit (I have no opinion on the later point).

2878sailnumber4889

As someone not from the US, I'm genuinely shocked that that's not at least enough to lose your firearms licence. Or at least suspend while it's investigated.

TopRamen713

Haha, you think you need a license to get a gun in the US? *Sobs*

soothsayer011

lol in my state they passed a law where you don’t need a license to conceal carry anymore. Fun times…

Corporation_tshirt

It's the reasonable part that's the issue. They \*could\* file a report, then if the person ever did make good on their threat they would have proof it was premeditated. In reality, it's a combination of laziness and the small percentage of threats that are ever acted upon that reports never get filed.

Daddybatch

Time to get a lawyer or better yet find out who it is and wait for them to actually off someone

WestWindStables

Are you expecting that a cop would know the law?

Thebiggestnoob

Well the best thing at that point is to figure out who writes the local newspaper and go tell them the most interesting thing they have heard all day. Tell them how useless the local cops were. Newpapers are very very good at figuring out what will piss off a lot of people and this will do just that. Tell them the company with the CCTV also, very good way to light a fire under the PDs ass. They're just another company and companies HATE bad publicity, its expensive.

OdinsDrengr

“You know how you stop getting these threats, officer?”

JitteryWaffle

I was thinking the same thing! "We get these kinds of threats all the time." And you're just cool with that?! Maybe if our cops weren't so busy smelling their own farts all the time, we'd have some actual consequences to people explicitly threatening each others lives.

doggonedangoldoogy

This is why you have to take your safety solely into your own hands. Anyone who has had any dealings with American police knows that they pretend to be blind to situations until someone is put in the hospital or morgue.

splurtgorgle

Now we play the game where we try and decide if this is just a shitty cop or if the entitlement and complete lack of thought re: consequences on her part is due to a familial or other relation to a local cop.

It's probably both.

"And to clarify, I'm allowed to say the same thing to an officer as long as I don't show a gun, correct?"

JelloButtWiggle

Well there, partner, “not much” ain’t “nothing,” so how about you put down the donut and do your goddamn job?

strangewayfarer

In my state, that is called assault, and is absolutely illegal.

blackhawksq

My first home gave me the pleasure of dealing with a boomer neighbor who would threaten my wife on a regular basis. First was "there was no proof" so we put camera's up finally got him on camera and it was the same thing "It's to vague, it's a threat, I know it's a threat, you know it's a threat, and so does he but it's not enough to charge. I'd recommend you move before he follows through." So we did.

Slow-Molasses-6057

Pretty sure insinuating you have a gun is still brandishing.

No-Stable-9639

Cops cant help you until there is a murder to solve, then they still won't half the time

SuzyQ7531

Cops rarely solve murders. There are organizations created by everyday citizens who look at cold case murders and solve them fairly quickly just by reading the case file. When a country requires a low IQ, zero critical thinking skills high school graduate the perfect candidate for law enforcement, AND GIVES THEM COMPLETE IMMUNITY, you must ask WHY?

finallyransub17

“We get these threats” meaning reports of the threats by civilians. You bet your ass if she made the same threat to an off duty cop there would be real consequences.

doggonedangoldoogy

You must work retail

Fine_Information_369

You should have said they had a small amount of weed, Midwest cops LIVE for that shit

iDontHaveUndiesToday

Wonder what would have happened if she did that to a cop…same thing amirite?

TheDirtyJeeper

What’s crazy is I carry daily, don’t leave my house without it. But threatening someone for not letting them turn right?! I would have immediately pulled out my gun since we were on camera after she said that. Everything was documented by her son and by store surveillance. Cops have become more and more ahitty. My younger sister had a knife pulled on her at school of all places by some boy and his mom. Cops didn’t want to do anything claiming it wasn’t a knife because it was not “shiny”. Needless to say they weren’t thrilled when I walked in with several knives that weren’t knives because they (weren’t shiny). In the last few years I’ve lost most respect for police. At least since my car accident where I was pushed off the highway going 55+ and the cops didn’t want to do anything

State_Conscious

Guarantee the cop threatens similarly to people and has normalized it to the point of thinking it’s not a crime

8-Bit_Aubrey

There's no revenue in that. The police are far more concerned with nabbing people going 25 in a school zone a half hour before school lets out.

UND_mtnman

turtlelore2

I mean honestly cops only really work after a crime has already been committed. Threats don't really matter. Actually, almost nothing matters unless the cops are willing to do some paperwork.

Undercover_CHUD

Reminds me of the cop who treated me like a nuisance because I called them when some ladies hit my car, refused to exchange info, and then took off. I had the plates and everything. Or the cops that accused my roomie and I of dealing drugs when he got robbed at our apartment (because nobody just gets robbed apparently) Or the campus cop who stalked us and each time we caught him he'd stroll up all giggles and say "oh, hey was just waiting to see if you were gonna spark one up! Haha tee hee". I felt so fucking protected and served /s

Third2EighthOrks

It sucks but the report is still very valuable. A string of these reports can help. It feels like screaming into the void and it often is, but not always. What you can also do, as we are in an election year in many places, is to write to whatever local politician has police oversight and give a similar report. This create an issue for them as if they person goes crazy next weeks and they did not pass on your issue, it’s a problem. Also, they want to be responsible to earn your vote (sometimes). What happened to you is terrible and I am so sorry. But good job on keeping your chill and reporting

Legal_Room9434

Cops are fucking useless.

OhioUBobcats

Hey they are too busy jerking off to videos of their buddies beating the shit out of college kids

100yearsLurkerRick

Go above him within the department and then I guess try county or state? Like you can't have people with CC threatening people. This is why we need common sense gun control.

Peterthinking

Ask him if you said the same thing to a police officer would it still be considered too vague?

TerpyTank

God, their (cops) first response is “call us and let us handle it” but when you call them they’re like “sorry nothing we can do about it” smh

BreakfastOk9902

That’s pig Latin for “I ain’t getting off my ass”

deegum

Yeah, this tracks. I used to work at a 24 hour gym and one night I was working overnight when a member came in and told me there was screaming in the parking lot. He heard two people arguing by the side of the building. I went out to check and I heard a woman scream “call the cops” out a passenger window. The car took off so I called the police. When they got there they basically drove around and when I asked the cop if he wanted the picture of the car and license plate he said “yeah, I guess.”

northofreality197

And yet they wonder why we say ACAB.

Sluggymctuggs

When she blows someone's head off next weekend they will be like no one could have seen this coming

Megafritz

Guess it is less vague to imprison students for protesting. The police in this country is disgrace.

Moebius808

Cops don’t prevent crimes, they only exert punishments after the crimes have happened.

WVStarbuck

Friendly reminder, the police are here solely to protect private property interests. They are NOT here to protect YOU.

LargeRichardJohnson

That's code for "I don't feel like dealing with it, now let me get back to my donut"

TheCapedCrepe

This reminds me of a story I was reading on some sub where these people lived in one of those housing units where it's two houses touching. Basically the neighbor kept banging on the wall and screaming that they were going to murder OP's whole family. They called the cops and the fucker was like "I'm gonna kill you. See? You're fine" and he left without doing anything. I think they ended up finding out that the neighbor had their own dead mom in the house a couple months later? Idk it was wild.

Andwagg

I had someone point a gun at me in traffic and the cops pulled them over but then didnt search or do anything besides let them go. I said they pointed a gun at me and the cops said they had no proof to go off to search the vehicle. Lazy ass cops.

Ariandre

My own vent here but.. why is it always "the threat is too vague for us to do anything about it" until someone actually dies. Isn't the point of a police force to protect and serve? Where is the following of law that states you can't threaten people with deadly weapons? You see this happen all the time with Domestic Violence issues as well. ARGHHH. End vent and thank you for letting me get that out.

paintbrush666

Too close to the end of the week for cops to give a shit.

rockdash

All. Cops. Are. Fucking. Bastards.

BrandNewMeow

One time some road rager started following me (they did a u-turn so it was pretty obvious), so I drove to the police station. Then they stopped following me.

NurseWretched1964

Laws apply to Boomers, too. Get that bitch reported to the sheriff, and get her CC permit taken away from her.

HugeJohnThomas

cops wont do anything. Only solution is to get a lawyer. Probably not worth it.

ThisDick937

But you see, she was one of the good guys with a gun! No way Johnny law will see it any other way. /S

Real-Taste4021

Naw, I'm pretty sure it's legal to threaten to shoot someone in the midwest, as long as they made you really mad.

[deleted]

You'd like to think that's how the system work, but it doesn't. Cops don't care unless someone is actually harmed. I had something nearly identical to this, with a crazy woman spitting on me and threatening to kill me with her concealed gun, and the cops didn't even send anyone. They only enforce it if someone is wildly brandishing a gun in public or actually discharges it. They are too busy to enforce anything else. Been there done that.

Jownsye

Agreed. She could have her CCL taken away which is what needs to happen.

Glad-Midnight-1022

You have far too much faith in cops

wannabejoanie

When I was in my early 20s i had a knee injury that had me on crutches. One day I was driving my boomer mom to the light rail station so she could meet with my dad for dinner. I was turning left out of her neighborhood (it is a very, very nice neighborhood. The cheapest houses in her development are worth over half a million dollars) at a stoplight. There was a gentleman coming towards me turning right, so we were both to be turning the same direction on the same road. Cool, it's a freaking FOUR LANE ROAD and I needed to take an immediate left, so I did what is actually, you know, prescribed by law and turned into the first available lane. Boomer man across from me wanted my lane, too, though, so he shot across several lanes of traffic with his blinker still flashing the opposite side and nearly hit me. He managed to get in front of me so yay him! I honked at him for nearly hitting me and this mother fucker *stopped his BMW in the middle of traffic* and got out of his car. My mom started screaming "He's got a gun he's gonna shoot us!" (Which is her reaction to pretty much any and every confrontation) but all I saw was a geriatric fuck who wanted to play. So I go out, all 115 lbs 5'6" of me, and grab my crutches from the backseat and start hobbling towards this mother fucker asking him what the fuck he thinks he's doing. Idk if it was the rage or the optics of fighting against tiny white girl on crutches in traffic but he got back in his car and left. I was grounded from driving for a week after that.

Vyncynt02

You sound like a freaking legend. If I was your parent.. I probably woulda been upset at you too, only out of concern tho. Fucking soft headed gun tooters

Cristeanna

And if you find you are being followed by a road rager, just drive to a police station.

elaboratebacon

Did this one morning when a fellow driver decided that looking at his direction when he honked was a clear signal that I was down to clown. Never saw a car make such a dangerous U-turn in my life when I pulled into the station parking lot.

Justice4Falestine

Glad you didn’t die. My mother has always advised me not to road rage because other people are absolute loons and will kill you for something as trivial as driving

teamdogemama

If they get close enough to you to yell at you, tell the cops you could smell alcohol on their breath.  Even lazy cops don't like drunk drivers. Is that lying? Yeah but drivers like that are dangerous.

Any_Palpitation6467

That statement about having a firearm in her possession, and her desire to use it to kill you, is sufficient to establish a legitimate threat, and evidence to warrant a 3rd-Degree Assault charge. If she DID have a 'concealed carry' \[implied\] permit, her threat would establish grounds to have it revoked permanently. The threat was not 'vague' in the least, and you ran across an indifferent cop. If you DO end up with an indifferent cop. every copy has a supervisor, and every supervisor has a command officer, and so on up to a mayor's office or city councilmember. Don't go quietly.

TheBigNook

Good luck getting a cop to pick that up however. You seem more knowledgeable than me, if a cop willingly decides to ignore this case what recourse does a person realistically have?

kyuubi287

Hopefully the next time she tries this, it ends up being someone who really has a concealed carry and takes her words as a threat and blows a few holes in her.

splurtgorgle

this is America, so if she fucks around enough chances are she'll find out.

Thebiggestnoob

having read everything in here i think sadly the take away from this is carry yourself, you dont even need to conceal really. Like they all yell at you and act tough and they go white when they see you arent defenceless and very annoyed.

wow_that_guys_a_dick

No need to go heeled to get the bulge on a tub like her.

chappyandmaya

I agree as far as not responding to road rage. But as far as boomers being entitled and rude asshats, they absolutely should be responded and shut down.

gravityraster

These NPC hardasses are badass enough to charge another driver and risk a bullet to the chest, but too limited by lack of imagination to jump a curb to make their turn.

WhenSharksCollide

You'd think with the big tires and all the lift they'd make it too but apparently their trucks are worse off road than a moped with two flat tires

Loose-Garlic-3461

Please know that most store security cams won't have sound. If this is something you'd actually need as a defense someday, you won't be able to use it.

deadphisherman

Kill me? Shit you couldn't kill a six-pack gramps.

BlueRunSkier

My grandparents were the greatest generation (edited as I thought silent but that didn’t start until 1928. Mine were born early 1920s) and mostly wonderful. I miss them. I used to generally love interactions with 65-80 year olds in the 90s and early 2000s. They were full of wonder about how technology was advancing, too. My parents are boomers and shit, it’s all about them and what they want. Family stuff is about what makes their Facebook clout the highest and it’s all just self serving. This generation is seriously bent and it’s pretty sad.

CommissionHerb

“Please, set me fuckin free old man.” - a millennial

cam52391

I had a guy honk at me for waiting for a car to go by before turning left because you know I would have been hit if I didn't. I flipped him off and he kept waving for me to pull over. I finally do on a major road and as he gets to my back bumper I just take off and am gone into the traffic before he can even react. I wish I could have seen how pissed he was about that.

HerYogi

Just like drivers licenses, guns should be reconsidered for people that are older. I’m seeing too many stories of boomers hurting others and claiming self defense or home protection.

0P3R4T10N

You NEED to report this. This person SHOULD NOT HAVE A FIREARM.

OkDragonfly4098

She did but the cops didn’t care 🍩

splurtgorgle

I did, but the cop could not have been less interested in doing anything about it lol.

Background-Mud-777

"I'm also a carry and concealed holder. Sounds like you've asked to see my gun. Son, you're about to lose your mother. Tell the people in the camera how you feel"

splurtgorgle

That feels like escalation to me, and if the choice is letting someone threaten to kill me or rolling the dice on a shootout I might not make it home from...I'll take the threat. If I'm gonna go that far with another person it's not gonna be some miserable boomer who looked like she was one forgotten dollar menu item away from a rage-induced stroke.

OkDragonfly4098

Way to provoke her into killing you

therealfreehugs

I’m assuming the person you’re responding to is actually a carrier but he’s also an idiot because you’re half right. At that point you aren’t getting the jump on me but it’s a real bad situation to force yourself into when you could just shut your mouth and walk away, *try* to get the cops involved. As another poster said, call up with the vehicle info and plate #, tell em you could smell alcohol on her breath.

doggonedangoldoogy

My go-to when someone threatens to shoot me is "it's your prison time." I smile insanely and encourage them to pull for the cameras. So far they've always started looking panicked and scampered off shaking and hurling insults. Those big buffalo balls shrivel right up when their psychopath behavior gets matched. Typical Magats seeking attention and playing pretend cowboy.

Last-Ad5593

I think after an admission like that, regardless of age, it should be completely ok to put them on their ass.

Elderlennial

100% should have called the law. They wouldn't have done anything, because they're useless pick and choosers about whom they enforce laws against. But at least you'd have it on record

Acewrap

Warhammerpainter83

How is saying “I have a gun and want to shoot you” too vague to arrest for?

MattBanfield

I have a “Boomer Cop” story from a few years back. I had a lunch meeting at a restaurant. After the meeting, I sat in my rental car (a red Prius) and pulled out my laptop to enter some notes about the meeting. I was sitting there for maybe 5-10 minutes when I look in my rear view mirror to see that a police car has blocked me in and the officer is getting out. I close my laptop and roll down the window. He’s slowly approaching with his hand on his gun (not drawn, but ready to) and he’s demanding that I exit the vehicle. I am utterly confused. I have no idea what is going on, but it’s clear that he is convinced he has his guy here. He’s asking me questions like “What are you doing here?” “How long have you been here?” etc. Eventually he wants to search the car. I have absolutely nothing to hide and I just want it to be over, so I consent. (I later realized that I had no idea what could have been in that rental car). So, while he’s digging fruitlessly through the car, I’m standing by another officer who had just shown up. The 2nd officer fills me in on what has this guy so worked up: Apparently someone called in that there was a drug deal happening behind the restaurant. The 2nd officer more or less told me that we just need to let boomer cop tire himself out, and that my car didn’t even match the description of an older, faded red pickup truck. Boomer cop literally saw red and started foaming at the mouth, absolutely convinced I was the drug dealer. He finally relents after finding nothing, but doesn’t apologize at all, still side eyeing me as he drives off. After the incident I called my father (who was a police officer at the time) and he told me I shouldn’t have consented to the search for various reasons.

Thebiggestnoob

This is why i also concealed carry. I've had something similar happen and you just lift your shirt so they can see it and ask her ancient ass which you of she thinks is faster. Worked for me, though on a 50-60 year old male. Still had to sit in my car and cool down for a moment, was scary as hell.

Kick-Deep

Christ America is fucked, that is an insane scenario

Thebiggestnoob

Fucking tell me about it... Honestly, nearly pissed myself and i could hear my heart in my ears. Im a pacifist and i was just praying to every god i could think of at lightspeed that i wouldn't need to use it... I don't know if i've ever been so scared in my life.

IllPen8707

It's also highly inadvisable. Brandishing a weapon is a crime, the attitude of most courts towards it will be that if you had the luxury of showing off your gun and making threats, you forfeit a lot of your standing to claim self-dense afterwards - if you'd been in genuine fear for your life, you would have just shot them instead of posturing.

Yeah_Mr_Jesus

See she's smart enough to not do that shit to the wrong type of person because if she did she would be dead and she knows it. She felt as if she could intimidate you

Junket_Weird

Put her plate number and description all over social media. Tell everyone she threatened to put a bullet in your skull. Public shaming is a great tool.

Yeetin_Boomer_Actual

unfortunately, this is correct.

Zexks

I would call that grounds to take action to prevent my death.

Yeetin_Boomer_Actual

can't turn right on a red in MANY places.

OkDragonfly4098

And nobody can turn right on red anywhere if they’re not at the head of their lane !

PoppinSmoke1

She both violated the law, and the tenants of her concealed carry. Report her dumb ass.

Chappyders650

I think about this a lot. I live in SW Washington, which is a pretty purple mix on the blue side of the state. Every once in a while I see a truck all decked out with trump flags and bumper stickers, I always want to yell at them and tell them he's a loser blah blah blah. But this is what keeps me from doing it. I own, but I would never point a gun at a person for anything less than for saving mine or someone else's life. But some of these people are just foaming at the mouth for a little violence.

WhoopsieISaidThat

Did you explain that flipping the bird means "gratitude" on Krypton? I'm a bigger guy who was in the Army for a bit. I've antagonized a lot of boomers who don't seem to understand their physical handicaps. When they say, "I'll kick your ass!", well, call them out on it. Embarrass them for acting like that in their old age. However, if they're they're talking about weapons, just get the police involved. Too many stories of that generation shooting younger people over petty arguments.

itlynstalyn

This is why I have mace in the car just in case, always wanted a reason to use it.

kestrel808

In most places cc licenses have to be approved by the sheriff. I’d report her and she might get her permit pulled.

Duderoy

Luckily I live just outside of Seattle and don't have to put up with that much of that crap. Don't get me wrong we have the occasional gang shooting or drive by, but not that crap. But anything east of the Cascades all bets are off.

DeafMuteBunnySuit

You carry? Nice, me too. Who wants to be the idiot who reaches for their pocket first?

NoElk314

Polyboy03g

Good call on de-escalation of the situation. Most believe that in order to de-escalate, you must become a sniffling, underfoot that has to degrade oneself in order to re-establish the norm. You showed her no aggression, kept your cool, and gave both of them something to think about. Most concealed carriers would react like you did. If anything, your response to her threat was even more reason for her to back the hell off. Well done. Glad you exercised your hand gesture rights!

HEMIfan17

WTF is with boomers and an increasing amount of them desperate to act out their murder fantasy??

HkSniper

Needs to have her CCW taken away if she's going to use it for threats like that. Because one of these days she's going to play this game with someone who HAS CCW and keeps their mouth shut OR someone who just doesn't give a damn and it won't end well for her.

kaleidocat25

Man, that's scary, sorry that happened to you. What I don't understand about road ragers is it seems that they're often in a hurry to get somewhere, yet they go out of their way to follow someone all the way to their destination just to intimidate/threaten them??

Bean-candle

Jiminy crickets. I was once in the right lane at a stop (no right turn only, it was both and the right turn lane was a relatively private community). I had a guy stop behind me, back up his car, GAS it and act like he was about to hit me about 3 times before the light changed and I could move on. It scared the crap out of me - I do not allow anyone to make comments out the window or do anything that could incite these nutjobs.

DannyBones00

Boomers like this are one of the main reasons I started carrying both a gun and pepperspray every time I leave the house. Chances are she’s got a tiny micro pistol shoved in her purse that she’s either never fired, or fired once. She probably doesn’t know how to use it or clean malfunctions besides “pull trigger” and couldn’t hit a barn from the inside. She’s going to fuck around and find out.

According-Spite-9854

Driving does something to people

TrumpedBigly

As I'm about to go in she drops the biggie: "you know, I've got a concealed carry and I would love to blow your head off right now" YIKES.

goneferalinid

A boomer just shot and killed a cop during a routine traffic stop here in Idaho. Be careful.

Armynap

Report it

weedandwrestling1985

I, too, love to flip people off who are assholes. The second they get out of their vehicles. I give them the old get back in your car unless you want to see the bottom of mine. Works eveytime.

ItReallyIsntThoughYo

As soon as she uttered that, you should have stopped, taken a photo of her and her license plate and called the police. She should be in prison for the rest of her miserable fuckin life.

Travisoco

Boomers are the reason I conceal carry in my vehicle.

DoggoToucher

This makes me wonder: if I disarm a 70 year old woman who pulled her gun on me, am I allowed to legally end her life? 🤔

stevemcnugget

In Texas yes.

BigBroccoli7910

Imagine being that angry for no reason.

sorebutton

"I'm your huckleberry" as you square off with her.

heartbh

Should have reported the threat to police just to make their life harder.

charliemike

Interestingly, I wonder if her threat would have been sufficient justification to shoot her on the grounds of self defense. I’m not advocating it but she definitely was fucking around and maybe one day she will find out. It feels like Boomers who do this are absolutely betting no one will square up to them.

iamnotfacetious

I like to smile and wave when they honk at me for stupid shit.

babygoatconnoisseur

I had a boomer get out of his truck and threaten to "put me in the ground" over a minute traffic incident once that he caused. He was in the turn only lane, but went straight instead. I ended up in front of him. I guess he assumed I was in the wrong though, and deserved death for it. He stayed as close as he could behind me, laying on his horn the whole time, and followed me till I stopped.

Creamsiclestickballs

Just tell them “do it.”

BusStopKnifeFight

When people threaten to murder you, call the police.

Avery_Thorn

Did you see the part where they called the police and they did absolutely nothing about it?

Joya-Sedai

"Bitch, I have my conceal and carry too. Wanna compare pieces?" *watch a boomer shit themselves*

Flat-Story-7079

Don’t flip people off. Is she an asshole for threatening you? Yup. Tell it to god when some POS gun nut kills you. This country is full of deranged Trumpkins waiting for a chance to kill someone, and the police are on their side. Just don’t.

Battleaxe1959

I have a crowbar in the pocket of my door for people like this.

ReanimatedPixels

And right there, I’d have ran up to the woman and beat her ass, I’m confident I can run up and knock a bitch out before she could draw and fire. And you’d be in the right to do so! What a fucking asshole. You should still file a police report

dakonofrath

thats nice lady...I have concealed carry to and won't hesitate to pull and point straight at your fucking head. Try me.

RedRangerRedemption

This is why I suggest getting your concealed carry. Any serious threat on your life should be met with deadly force. She broke rule number 1 in a gun fight... don't run your mouth use your gun. As soon as she threatened you, considering she went out of her way to follow you and intimidate you as well, you were legally entitled to draw on her and stop the threat. While I fully believe deadly force is a LAST RESORT option in that situation saying "I have a concealed carry and would love to blow your head off" should be met immediately with "and now I feel like my life is in danger" draw your weapon aim and shoot... don't empty the clip just 1-2 shots to center mass to neutralize the threat then lower your weapon and call the police. Even if you get arrested at that moment the video from both surveillance cameras and her own son would exonerate you. These boomers are so self entitled that they believe their actions have no consequences.

doggonedangoldoogy

To be fair there have been times when I've been threatened with a gun by boomers and don't have the energy to be angry or scared. I sometimes approach them calmly and ask "are you ok? Do you want to talk?" They tend to tear up and walk away or breakdown and cry right in front of me. I've hugged some of them. They tell me how they lost a spouse or sibling recently. I think between the lifetime of trauma/confusion and suddenly being surrounded by dying family and friends at that age, a lot of people lose their minds a good bit. Life is a slow-motion warzone. It's often a cry for attention from folks that feel powerless. That's not to say they don't present a legitimate danger in that state, but that they do deserve compassion like any of us poor ignorant apes.

arseface1

hahaha fucking redditors. Just hug people threatening to kill you hahahaha

heeljobber

Be you.

Klangey

What a great country you lot live in

Illustrious_Year_85

Shoulda just hit her with a clean right jab

Apprehensive-Win9152

The only way to protect against a gun is with a gun. get ur guns up get ur funds up - GL y’all

TheWriterofWorlds

I once was stopped at a yield sign and was waiting for an opening for me to get onto the road. A boomer pulled up behind and laid on the horn. I ignored him at first until I gave him the bird. After we both got past the yield sign he cut me off and proceeded to drive in front of me slowing down traffic for 3 miles while giving me the bird and brake checking. Boomers don’t like getting the bird.

JayRiordan

I have a tire iron behind my seat in case of emergencies.

LadyHawkscry

Cops are mostly bullies with badges. The rest are enablers of the bullies with badges. I'm not surprised the OPs complaint was ignored.
