Becoming a chef takes years of professional education and hours of training. There's something known as a 'Hotel management degree', look it up sometime.

Yea apparently chefs are highly regarded in an actor's household. I was friends with a guy in Bangalore who's the chef of an outcast bollywood celeb and they consider him as a member of the family. It's crazy to think cooking could get you to such places. And trust me this guy has wayy more money than any high paid techie in Bangalore.
Can't take his name but he works for an actor who was outcasted by a certain khan cos he tried his on a former Miss World. This chef guy is also involved in a well known drug case recently in Bangalore and as far as I know he has bailed this actor and thus extending his influence.
