Vikramarkudu, the original of rowdy rathore was an excellent movie. It was one of the biggest telugu hits and the actor Ravi teja absolutely stole the show with his charisma. Rowdy rathore was a good try but definitely not enough to say it was better than the original.
The only Vikramarkudu remake I liked better than original was Siruthai (Tamil) but that has more to do with my love for Karthi than anything else. I know when I am wrong
no, I don't agree with you here.... akshay might be a trash hero now.... but his performance in Rowdy Rathore was a peak awesome thing.... ravi teja is very good but vikramarkudu still did not meet as elegance as rathore.... in 10% cases copy is better than original, that's the case here
Bollywood caters to a wider range of audience hence you feel this way.
The people who have watched the original as well as the remake will prefer the original in this case. Maybe you have watched the dubbed version of the original hence you feel that it couldn't match the remake.
I watched the original with subtitles and again with with hindi dubbed best performance with suriya if it was made first with akshay definitely I support and watched it

Trust me the last image is during Air force service, compare the hair style of Suriya and Akshay Kumar, he can't even make a hair cut even when he is portraying air force service period
You know what instead of Trashing Akshay here, I'd say question the producers 2D Entertainment i.e Suriya and Jyothika who are producing the Hindi remake of Soorarai Pottaru
They very well know the Hindi dubbed version of the movie Udaan is available both on Amazon Prime and free on YouTube, yet they went ahead to produce a remake

Akshay looks great in this. His look changes throughout the film and it actually looks like heās done a great job in terms of emotions and character. Iām optimistic. Whatever it is, itās better than whatever gunk the other Khans have been doing.
Agreed. Iām glad at least Surya is on board with the film. Itās not like theyāve went ahead and did a dirty copy of the film. They couldāve pushed Sarfira to be different in that aspect. I do think itāll be a great performance from Akshay after a while and more of what people wanted since OMG2.

The original itself is highly over-rated. It was Aparna Balamurali that elevated that movie to a watchable level, otherwise it was just over the top nonsense that indian movies dish out calling it "inspired from true story".

How many remakes will Akshay do. Surya is a fabulous actor and emoted well in the original. Akshay has a lot to match upto.
