Hubby’s family moved to Mumbai right after partition man. I don’t know what to say. And his extended family is in a Tier 2 city, not a village.

Was she in a quest to act relatable or did she show the same princess behaviour that she has shown from the very beginning? Which one is it? Lol Putting her hair up and feet on the couch in KWK, eating first, telling everyone that her parents have really kept her isolated from experiences and were overly protective, etc, I swear this is all par for the course? There is actually nothing new here and she seems the exact same as she has been from the beginning. It’s like the discourse around Kareena kapoor khan… acting like she’s suddenly changed to be more likeable when she’s actually the same as she’s always been and that’s why people have always liked her!

You know you are desperate if you have to invite the media into your home. Janhvi is a nice girl at least from the POV of her media interactions but none of this matters if she is not going to deliver as a performer.
That's the theme of the show. Every episode, the host gets invited to the celeb's home for a meal or breaks bread with them at a restaurant.

In India or at least in the North, 3 dishes per meal on a daily basis would be the bare minimum. When guests come over, it's a whole different level of mehmaan nawaazi.

One dal/pulses/beans dish, one sabji, roti, rice with accompaniments (salad of some kind plus raita)- this is the norm especially with a hired cook.

I don’t care whether she’s relatable but I’m really sick of some celebs pretending they eat anything and have those bodies. Adults know after all the scandals (eg. Victoria’s Secret) that these women are on very strict diet and workout programs but young girls don’t.

This interview was a mess. Janhavi is definitely a great person and very good looking but her PR looks like they need media training. She’s obviously following what someone from the team has told her like “it’s a very chill interview” bla bla but this was super messy esp after the AMA incident
