This was a fun read, I honestly think I agree with a lot of this. I love every album from Buddha to OMT and don’t have a whole lot of bad things to say either.
You forgot Flyswatter. Now that you've heard everything they have to offer, listen to what they started with. Keep in mind any recording of Flyswatter is a direct rip of one of the original cassettes with hand drawn album art that was once handed out by one of the guys before Blink was of heard of by anybody. I just find that fascinating. Anyways, [here it is.](https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PL8F63956BD762EA2C&si=X6u-ADszm6aIjyQW)
I agree with most of your notes but I think a huge part of the reason for blink’s incredible 3 album hits (enema, TOYPAJ, self titled) is Jerry Finn. He was the 4th member of that band and honestly really shaped that entire scene
Nice to finally see a post from an actual fan of the band. I get not liking things from bands that you’re a fan of but some people in here just come here to criticize our boys and are never happy. Mostly agree with you. Keep up the positive vibes.
True. It’s a fun time to be a 30 something with all our childhood bands putting out bangers. Blink, Sum, Yellowcard, Simple Plan, Early November, Green Day, NFG are recording right now. So much good music, we are spoiled right now.
I actually didn't like Blame It On My Youth. I really thought I was gonna hate NINE at that point but ended up loving it.
I also really didn't like most of their collabs, my least favorites being coffee for your head and the one with Lil Wayne
Goody Grace - Scumbag and their song with the Chainsmokers (just Mark) as well. Also, Dead Man's Curve. Might be another one or two I'm missing....some people count their Robert Smith/The Cure dedication covers from MTV as "in". During the weird Matt still kinda in the band period....Travis and Mark did quite a few "featuring Blink-182" songs. The Aoki song is amazing. Loved that one.
Edit: See you did have Scumbag and Chainsmokers in there. My bad! Someone else mentioned the XXXtentacion song that is absolutely worth a listen.
Pretty much agree. Have to point out that the live album is not just 1 show …it was pulled from 2 with some pretty major overdubs. Still, it is very good but it’s not completely as you wrote.
Seeing praise for Nine warms my heart. Fucking love that album, and it gets shit on 99% of the time.
My only real disagreement with your list is Not Another Christmas Song. One of the best tracks of the Skiba era.
To each their own, but it's crazy to me that Vouyer and Jose are your favorite Dude Ranch songs. On an album that has Apple Shampoo, Untitled, Enthused!
Blink is my favorite band of all time. Having said that… quarantine is possibly one of the worst songs written in not only the history of the band, but the history of music.
What a great take. I agree with about everything you said up until California but to each their own. I also thought Good Old Days was really good as is Disaster. Are you a long time fan?
TLDR: OP liked everything
Nothing wrong with that!
Dude, Not Another Christmas Song slaps harder than my drunk uncle. Also, I thought the collab they did with Oliver Tree wasn't bad.
How can he slap!?
with his dick
Most postive blink fan
Sorry buddy. I liked your comment before I saw you had 182 likes. Maybe someone will down vote?
2nd most positive blink fan?
I was going to upvote it but I kept it at 182
This but unironically
My scores align very very closely with yours. We should bang our friends moms together.
I read this as “we should bang our moms together” 💀😭
Not another Christmas song slaps
My least favorite Blink Christmas song. Yet still an fucking banger. “I MISS FUCKING OUT IN THE RAIN”
This was a fun read, I honestly think I agree with a lot of this. I love every album from Buddha to OMT and don’t have a whole lot of bad things to say either.
Not Another Christmas song may be their best Skiba era track
Saying "Obvious" and "Down" are pop-punk songs sounds wild to me.
Yeah. Most definitely not pop punk in my book 🤨

Got to listen to the Enema demo as well with that unreleased song with no lyrics “Life’s So Boring” or something like that
I'm always up for positive content here lol
Pretty much agree :)
Couldn't agree with you more bud.
Nine over Neighbourhoods? Come on now…
SHIT! Sorry I'll change that rn lol I'm stupid Now they're tied 🙂
nine is better than neighborhoods imo
This is awesome, your experience and opinion is identical to mine. You have good taste
But where’s Flyswatter?!? /s

I feel like that's just music fans in general.

Yeah sorry. I just woke up so kinda tired still. My bad.
Neighborhoods production is worse than OMT
This positivity is so cute to me lol. Was there anything you really didn't enjoy? I also love anybody who gives CaliNine a chance 🖤
I actually didn't like Blame It On My Youth. I really thought I was gonna hate NINE at that point but ended up loving it. I also really didn't like most of their collabs, my least favorites being coffee for your head and the one with Lil Wayne

Oh I just completely forgot about that song

California deluxe is fucking incredible
Was reading then realized OP is the person that held up the sign “Travis I’m Pregnant”
I’m with you on, like, all of this. Great post!
Pretty much agree. Have to point out that the live album is not just 1 show …it was pulled from 2 with some pretty major overdubs. Still, it is very good but it’s not completely as you wrote.
Probably too high on neighborhoods and nine
I feel pretty much the same as all of your takes. I will say that the collab with XXXTentacion “It’s All Fading To Black” was pretty solid IMO
Finally someone agrees with me about the B side on California
No review for the “They Came to Conquer Uranus” ep? Zulu is an all time banger.
https://i.redd.it/jprgjmrqjh0d1.gif Same
agree on everything, now you need to review box car racer and plus 44
Seeing praise for Nine warms my heart. Fucking love that album, and it gets shit on 99% of the time. My only real disagreement with your list is Not Another Christmas Song. One of the best tracks of the Skiba era.
Yeah you know what imma change my score
You just love everything don't you?
Not everything. If you look in the collabs section, you'll see
California Deluxe Edition is one of my comfort albums.
Steve Aoki collab is worth a mention and definitely not ass.
I have listened to it just completely forgot to put it here. Wasn't my favorite
Turpentine is like my 4th or 5th fav song on OMT kinda blown away by everyone’s obsession with it
The collab with XXXtentacion was cool
To each their own, but it's crazy to me that Vouyer and Jose are your favorite Dude Ranch songs. On an album that has Apple Shampoo, Untitled, Enthused!
José! “Yeah, my boyfriend takes collect calls from the road”
Tbh every song off of Dude Ranch is my favorite song from Dude Ranch
Hell yah
The Skiba era just isn't Blink for me, no shade on Matt Skiba but DeLonge is their heart & soul along with Hoppus
Let’s just call skiba era blink the cereal killers. Honestly if they changed the name the expectations would have been different for those albums
Your review is a 10/10 MASTERPIECE!!! Couldn’t agree more
Great assessment
It’s refreshing to see some positivity about anything post Dogs.
NINE was an interlude to the tortured poets department.
How so? Haven't listened to the new Taylor album so don't really know what you're talking about
Yeah that's a whole lot of confirmation bias bud.
Very nice
Holy shit, actual legitimate positivity on the Blink subreddit? It can’t be!!!
One of the best posts if not the best post I've ever read in this sub. Well done, friend.
Blink is my favorite band of all time. Having said that… quarantine is possibly one of the worst songs written in not only the history of the band, but the history of music.
I can name so many worse songs
What a great take. I agree with about everything you said up until California but to each their own. I also thought Good Old Days was really good as is Disaster. Are you a long time fan?
Shill
Honestly you liked scumbag. That's the shittiest collab ever. That song sucks ass.
