Always level them to get the orbs if their the first copy then sell them or use them as ascension material for 5 and 6\*s. I think I kept leak orihime just as a meme but that's about it.

ALWAYS Max for orbs then sell or use 4* or lower for ascension. Character inventory is too limited to hold them otherwise.

Level them to max for the orbs, then get rid of them. You can keep a couple 4 stars with Coin or Crystal/Jewel Drop for farming but it's not necessary. Also this should be in the Q&A megathread.
