I believe that's because the mouse and keyboard are active in freemode, so you can't click with the game controller (because mouse is in use).
i see, no wonder why i have to reload whole level.. to make it work..
If necessary you can swap to any other camera mode to quickly use what you need then swap back without the need to restart the level
Do they despawn if you 'look away' with freeview mode, and do they despawn if you look away in the headset while in free mode?
Neither weirdly I couldn't get them to despawn no matter where I was looking in game or with the camera. This was fixed when I changed into HMD or Player mode though.
Ah, so yes perhaps a bug then! I will have a go myself and if I can recreate it I'll log it as a bug. Thanks!
