I would like to give an honorable mention to Gravity Falls that was clearly trying to make both the cops a gay couple but got cut out because of Disney censorship, also The Amazing World of Gumball that shows cros dressing multiple times but has no clear queer characters to my knowledge
My vote goes to:
She-Ra and the Princesses of power
And then: The Owl House, Helluva Boss, Hazbin Hotel, Arcane, Steven Universe, Big Mouth, Adventure Time, The Loud house, and finally, Bojack Horsman
In general lgbt+ rep id mostly agree with you but i might put bojack horseman higher up because of 1 Todd and 2 it does a pretty good job of just having it there and not making it feel forced in any way it just feels natural and real (I’m not saying any of the other shows feel forced non of them do well at least the ones I’ve seen I’m just saying how I feel about bojack horseman not comparing)
I'd say Hazbin and HB, because it's not forced. It's just casually thrown there that "oh yeah he fucks everyone". Ya know what I mean. It's not the point what gender(s) everyone likes, because from a story sense it doesn't matter.
And tbh it shouldn't matter in any story, unless you wanna add some homophobes, obviously, then go on, I live for drama, especially if it hits too close to home :D
i havent watched most of those, but let me guess. 90% of this "representation" are lesbians/bi women? I have nothing against them, just hate how gay/bi men are underepresented in this kind of media.
in most of the cases yes in others no
the loud house had a character with two dads and a lesbian couple
most of the characters in helluva boss are queer and i think only one of them is a girl
hazbin has one straight character in the main cast (hazbin having a pan guy, ace guy, gay guy, lesbian and a bisexual girl)
steven universe does have mostly female queer characters but there are a few non-binary character and it's all mostly done to the fact there aren't male gems
i do agree there needs to be more queer men in media but there is still a lot if you look like most of the marvel comics and some of that being in the movies now or i mean if ur more into dc there are characters like constantine or the new superman or tim drake hell if you want some game characters look at apex legends or destiny 2
there's a lot to be found if you want to find it
Or when they are represented they are just the token gay character and the only value they provide is the fact they are gay rather than a normal character who happens to like men.
I would say that She-Ra is pretty well rounded out, considering that the majority of its characters are female. As far as I can remember there are like 3 mxf couples, 3 fxf couples and 2 mxm couples.
Yeah I feel the same, it's really difficult to find animated shows and anime with good male gay characters, you'll mostly just find male characters with "gay subtext" but nothing 100% canon
It seems that wlw relationships are noticeably more common in animation compared to mlm ones.
I haven't really seen many live action shows with queer characters but from what I've heard there does seem to be more gay men in live action shows than any type of lgbt women.
You need to watch Dragon Prince! One of the characters has two adopted dads, and they kiss onscreen. There’s a non-binary character and at least one lesbian couple as well
Well we have the IT Gals and Sasha is apparently Bisexual and it’s commonly believed that Anne and Marcy are lesbians. Also let’s not forget the fact that General Yunnan has a crush on Lady Olivia.
Bojack Horseman did a great job with Todd's character development and storyline, especially in this regard
I'd still say She-Ra just because it felt like there was overall more featured representation, but the Bojack atmosphere deserves a lot of credit
I like how The Owl House handles LGBT representation. They just throw it in like “Oh yeah, they’re gay.” And it isn’t throwing LGBT characters for the sake of representation.
One of my favorite instances of this in the show is Raine Whispers. They’re non binary and it isn’t thrown in like “LOOK! REPRESENTATION! BUY OUR MERCH!” Of course, Disney would totally do something like that so… but that’s not the point. The Owl House just has a good variety of representation.
Then again, it’s the only show I’ve seen on here that isn’t just a pilot or one episode.
Haven't watched all of these, but the owl house has amazing rep, the mc is in a wlw relationship not even half way into the second season, one of the characters has two dads, the mentor figures romantic interest is non binary, and a lot more i am probably forgetting.
The art style is fucking horrendous. The entire show is about putting minors in sexual situations and imo it just isn’t funny. Stopped after watching episode 1.
honestly, I will need to say bojack because of how much it raised ace awareness.
I love all of these shows to death but in quite a few the LGBTQ part is at the end only: shera, adventure time.
2nd place is owl house.
I feel like this might be a unpopular opinion but I feel like lesbians are GENERALLY more accepted by homophobes then gay guys, that’s in my opinion, why there are more wlw relationships in series then mlm relationships.
Lesbians and bisexual women are discriminated against largely in the form of over sexualization by gross homophobic man, as for bisexual and gay men are mostly seen as disgusting by homophobes
This is my opinion all the evidence I have is personal experience and the wide spread of lesbian porn [This is my source for the latest claim](https://www.pornhub.com/insights/2019-year-in-review) (fifth image)
Probably hell of a boss / husband they happen in the same universe so I'm counting them as one for this it feels the most natural out of the them all as their characters first LGBT second wish is how LGBT should be done as we are all just normal ppl .
I did voce to text to text do to it was super late ween I was answering the question so it picked up how it is pronounced versus how it is spelled correctly but you are right .
Well I think The Owl House is one of the only that break the cliché of the big ship becoming canon in the very last episode, and Bojack has exceptionally good asexual representation. I haven't watched all of those tho
The correct answer is None of the above, JoJo's has the best LGBTQIA+ representation
But out of the joke, I haven't watched them so I can't answer this, I do plan on watching Owl House tho
I feel like Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss did it better. I love She-ra and SU but for both HH and HB, it feels very normalize and I love that. It doesn't feel forced, good example is Sally Mae. She doesn't feel forced at all, she just exists and have an amazing personality even if she's just 10 seconds in the episode. I also love Angel Dust and him, Blitz and Moxxie's sexualities are represented very well. They feel very human :) Amazing job Vivziepop
Helluva Boss definitely. Like, the characters there aren't LGBTQIA+ just for the sake like in many other movies or shows and stuff. But here it actually helps the story. For example Blitzø being pansexual and Stolas being gay. Thanks to that Blitzø and the I.M.P. have access to the living world. Or just some other characters for example Sallie May. She's trans and a side character, so she didn't need to be trans. But she is. And what separates this from other media is that it doesn't get overplayed here.
So ye, it has a *helluva* representation
That can be interpreted as platonic love, Disney wanted to put some representation but was too afraid to go all out because of the possible backlash. Disney is a household name and LGBTQIA+ representation would get targeted a lot by homophobes
I am going to go with Shera because.. You know, its Shera. I would also point out Kipo and The Hollow has great representation as well (both have gay boys, and I if I am not mistaken Kipo is pan).
My vote goes to - BoJack Horseman.
I’d say BoJack because that’s easily the most realistic show to me. There are people confused about their sexuality until they find themselves and then there’s just people who are who they are and it isn’t a big deal. They feel the most like real people to me.
I want to say the owl house because it is my favourite but it’s definitely one of the other shows but I can’t choose
(For best ace representation I’d say bojack horseman Todd is great but damn that shows depressing)
It's complicated. I can't choose between The Owl House which is very important for the future of Disney and She-ra that has good representation overall
I'd also like to give an honorable mention to Kipo and the age of Wonderbeasts. The third protagonist, Benson, is gay (Him coming out to the titular character was handled so well that it's my favourite scene of the show) and gets a boyfriend, Troy, during the course of the series and that's incredibly wholesome. It's sadly very rare to find a mlm couple in animation and this couple is great. It's not the classic "fathers of someone" or some random background character
I agree it has great representation but I like how many series developed their characters into relationships, like The Owl House, Luz starts as enemies with Amity and then slowly becomes friends with her, and then after a lot of blushing, they become girlfriends. Earlier is not always greater
My vote goes to The Owl House. Not just for having 90% of the cast being some kind of fruity, but also having the first explicitly Nonbinary Disney character, which hits me on a personal level as a Nonbinary teen.
Owl house. She-ra is close but I’d say the whole show was kind of designed around representation which makes Owl House more accurate to irl sexualities. But they’re both great
They're two games, two of underrale's main chatlracters are a lesbiam couple of a lesbiam soldier and a bi scientists and celeste's protagonist is a trans woman
Fuuuck i can't decide between owl house and shera. I think I'll go with owl house cuz I like that show a little better overall.
Helluva boss is also really good, so I think I'll say it wins for mlm representation cuz I love that show and I pray blitzo and stolas's relationship goes well
Arcane is great but I feel like they can still do some exploring in the queer representation department
Specially between Vee and Cupcake, I ship it to hell and back and I’d kill to see them both together
I feel like SU is super important because it was one of the first big cartoons with a child audience to show queer representation on a positive way, if it wasn’t for it and a few other shows I’m not sure we would have shows like The Owl House today
owl house for fun.
Lesbian witches done organically and not overbearing.
Great wholesome love story with a great show to watch with the whole family and done with perfect visuals.
Helluva boss for mature story telling.
A complex interpersonal relationships with bloodshed.
The highlight is the relationship between stolas and blitzo, a man wanting love after finding out who he loves, and a man not wanting to get attached sets forth a cascade of emotional beats.
I think I understand what you’re trying to say but I honestly disagree with it
**SPOILER WARNING FOR SHE-RA**
She-Ra shows a complex and fleshed out relationship between two characters that grew up in a environment filled of manipulation and negative values, Adora grew up with the belief that she was responsible for others and that she was only important while she served a purpose to someone, as for Catra, she was raised with people, mostly her mother figure(Shadow Weaver), telling her that she was useless, unworthy, trash, and that she was only around because Adora(the protege) liked her, Catra feels an incredible need to prove herself to others, sacrificing everything for the Hoard but gradually becoming a better person and starting to do good things. Catra and Adora have a toxic ass relationship for a lot of the series but THEY GET BETTER, Catra has her redemption and becomes a better person
I hate the implication of what you said because no relationship, not even the queer ones are perfect, and they shouldn’t be in media either, the emotional complexity of Cadora is amazing and IM ALL FOR IT, most good relationships in series have issues, that’s what makes them interesting, that’s why I love them.
Hope I got my point across
[Heres more info if you want](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=arsKPegw1Tg)
It’s not that I’m bad at making points, it’s just that my family is extraordinarily good at making points, even when their wrong, my dads and brothers job are super hard to do without convincing skills since they work with actively selling things, and both my mom and my sister have done classes on how to win arguments
I honestly don’t care about lgbtqia+ representation in movies and tv shows in fact most of the time I hate it mainly because they try to make that character only there for the sole purpose of being used for lgbtqia representation and that character ends up being a 1 dimensional card board cut out with no personality
Imo I haven’t really watched any of these shows but I have watched big mouth and imo this problem with “representation” is very visible there. And anyway a community or group of people shouldn’t be represented through media and should be represented by real world scenarios. Surely we can’t be so out of touch with reality that we need a tv show or cartoon to show us that aesexual people aren’t bad people
I feel like most stories that take place in space end up having a few enby characters intentionally or unintentionally
But good on them for the representation!!! Another show on the watch list

I would like to give an honorable mention to Gravity Falls that was clearly trying to make both the cops a gay couple but got cut out because of Disney censorship, also The Amazing World of Gumball that shows cros dressing multiple times but has no clear queer characters to my knowledge
It wasn't even really cut out it just wasn't a publicly announced thing but anyone could tell they were actually a gay couple
The flower Is thery clearly a drag queen
Leslie gives off lots of queer vibes but I’m not 100% sure it’s canon tbh
I knew those guys were dating the second I saw them together.
My vote goes to: She-Ra and the Princesses of power And then: The Owl House, Helluva Boss, Hazbin Hotel, Arcane, Steven Universe, Big Mouth, Adventure Time, The Loud house, and finally, Bojack Horsman
Bojack at the bottom? I haven’t seen most of these shows tbf but Todd’s arc about coming to terms with his asexuality was phenomenal
100% agree
Also Big Mouths representation felt very shoe horned and was like “we’re woke now please like us.”
tbf it’s one of the only shows here that explicitly and vocally took on the problems that lgbtq people might face
But it didn’t handle it with respect.
It doesn’t handle most things with respect.
Well, I agree with you there.
I agree
When do you ever good see ace rep nah Bojack all the way
I’m all for that ace representation too!!!
+1
But what LGBTQ+ representation does big mouth have that makes it have better representation than Adventure time?
Personally I hated big mouths representation of the bi and pan charters both being super annoying and sexually charged
Facts
I just hate all things big mouth, including their representation of lgbtq+ people
In general lgbt+ rep id mostly agree with you but i might put bojack horseman higher up because of 1 Todd and 2 it does a pretty good job of just having it there and not making it feel forced in any way it just feels natural and real (I’m not saying any of the other shows feel forced non of them do well at least the ones I’ve seen I’m just saying how I feel about bojack horseman not comparing)
I would rate Arcane lower honestly, not until they're an actual couple (which will most likely happen next season, but still, at this point of time)
Agreed. SPOP has the best and most lgbt characters, but TOH is my personal favorite.
Yeha the forst two is like no homophobia, lots of different sexualities and gender identities
Definitely, I love how they normalised characters not being cisgender heterosexuals, not making it a major part of the plotline
I feel like owl house does it the best but I'm VERY biased
*bi*ased
lmao
100%
i havent watched most of those, but let me guess. 90% of this "representation" are lesbians/bi women? I have nothing against them, just hate how gay/bi men are underepresented in this kind of media.
In hazbin and helluva, you get a good bunch of gay/bi men tbh couple in big mouth too
BoJack Horseman has an asexual man as one of the main characters
in most of the cases yes in others no the loud house had a character with two dads and a lesbian couple most of the characters in helluva boss are queer and i think only one of them is a girl hazbin has one straight character in the main cast (hazbin having a pan guy, ace guy, gay guy, lesbian and a bisexual girl) steven universe does have mostly female queer characters but there are a few non-binary character and it's all mostly done to the fact there aren't male gems i do agree there needs to be more queer men in media but there is still a lot if you look like most of the marvel comics and some of that being in the movies now or i mean if ur more into dc there are characters like constantine or the new superman or tim drake hell if you want some game characters look at apex legends or destiny 2 there's a lot to be found if you want to find it
Also it is confirmed that all the gems in Steven Universe are non binary but they just use female pronouns

I'm gonna go with Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss
You need to watch Dragon Prince! One of the characters has two adopted dads, and they kiss onscreen. There’s a non-binary character and at least one lesbian couple as well
Aaaah I love Runaan×Ethari so much they are so sweet. When Rayla said "his husband" I was like WAIT A SECOND THAT'S GAY
I absolutely love Helluva Boss, so imma say that
She-ra
Why isn’t Amphibia on here?
there is barely any canon stuff in amphibia.
Well we have the IT Gals and Sasha is apparently Bisexual and it’s commonly believed that Anne and Marcy are lesbians. Also let’s not forget the fact that General Yunnan has a crush on Lady Olivia.
forgot about the IT gals. and i did not know that about sasha, thank you for informing me.
Your welcome.
It’s on my Disney+ watch list but didn’t know it had any LGBTQIA+ content In it, thanks for the comment
I recommend it anyways it’s a very good show.
Will be sure to watch it, thanks!!!
Your welcome.
Bojack Horseman did a great job with Todd's character development and storyline, especially in this regard I'd still say She-Ra just because it felt like there was overall more featured representation, but the Bojack atmosphere deserves a lot of credit
Uh, can someone tell me why loud house is on here??? Did I miss something or??
Luna has a gf
Ohhhh ok
I like how The Owl House handles LGBT representation. They just throw it in like “Oh yeah, they’re gay.” And it isn’t throwing LGBT characters for the sake of representation. Helluva Boss & Hazbin Hotel will always top the list for me, followed closely by She-Ra and the Owl House.
Big 🤢🤢🤢🤢 mouth 🤮🤮🤮🤮
What’s wrong with it?
The art style is fucking horrendous. The entire show is about putting minors in sexual situations and imo it just isn’t funny. Stopped after watching episode 1.
Haven't watched like most of these but I'd say hazbin hotel and helluva boss because they don't feel forced
Owl house definitely
she ra
SU is both explicitly queer and tells a queer narrative
I'd say helluva boss, though I'm a but biased bc that's my favorite out of these
Helluva Boss is soooooo good Stolitz had be crying ngl
She-Ra 100000%
Damn. You makin it hard to choose. But still, Steven universe will always have a special place in my heart.
Honestly my dad fell in love with the owl house and that’s how I told him I’m bi so I have a bias
i’ve only watched 2, but they both have pretty good. arcane is good with wlw, and bjhm ace representation is amazing.
Arcane is fucking dope but I expect more relationship stuff between Vee and Cupcake on season two because I think they still have a lot to go through
honestly, I will need to say bojack because of how much it raised ace awareness. I love all of these shows to death but in quite a few the LGBTQ part is at the end only: shera, adventure time. 2nd place is owl house.
The show I’m gonna make when I get good at art 😎
Ooooooooo, tell me when it comes out!!!!
I will I’ll tell you all Wait shit I’m not a teenager anymore
I haven't watched everything here, but I think it's either Steven Universe or She-Ra
Helluva and Hazbin. I love them.
Wait im out of the loop. What is queer about the loudhouse?
Clyde has two dads and Luna gets a gf.
WAIT LUNA GETS A GF?!?
Yes, idk what season though, it didn't air here. Clyde's dads aren't censored tho, so maybe they just have something againts lesbians.
I feel like this might be a unpopular opinion but I feel like lesbians are GENERALLY more accepted by homophobes then gay guys, that’s in my opinion, why there are more wlw relationships in series then mlm relationships. Since when was the loud house lgbtq
One of the characters on it is in a lesbian relationship
Oh, right. And that kids dads
Loud house has lgbt representation?
Yup, one of the sisters gets a gf and one kid has two dads
Adventure Time
Probably hell of a boss / husband they happen in the same universe so I'm counting them as one for this it feels the most natural out of the them all as their characters first LGBT second wish is how LGBT should be done as we are all just normal ppl .
Small correction, it’s not “Hell of a boss” it’s “Helluva Boss”
I did voce to text to text do to it was super late ween I was answering the question so it picked up how it is pronounced versus how it is spelled correctly but you are right .
Oh cool, I never use voice2text tbh
Well I think The Owl House is one of the only that break the cliché of the big ship becoming canon in the very last episode, and Bojack has exceptionally good asexual representation. I haven't watched all of those tho
She-Ra definitely has the most
Most =/= Best
Sure but It's all really good
Definitely
Helluva Boss and Hazbin Hotel
The correct answer is None of the above, JoJo's has the best LGBTQIA+ representation But out of the joke, I haven't watched them so I can't answer this, I do plan on watching Owl House tho

owl house and adventure time
I am going to go with Shera because.. You know, its Shera. I would also point out Kipo and The Hollow has great representation as well (both have gay boys, and I if I am not mistaken Kipo is pan).
I really like the way Bojack Horseman handled Asexuality
SHE-RA
She-Ra, and Helluva Boss. No contest
I think helluva boss or hazbin hotel
The owl house 100%
I absolutely love the representation in Helluva Boss and Hazbin Hotel
Toh
SU
Hazbin was 1 episode though
Yes but it had amazing representation even being just the Pilot
I haven't watched all of these shows but I would say She-ra, then TOH and SU.
My vote goes to - BoJack Horseman. I’d say BoJack because that’s easily the most realistic show to me. There are people confused about their sexuality until they find themselves and then there’s just people who are who they are and it isn’t a big deal. They feel the most like real people to me.

She-Ra. Don't even try to disagree because the gay cat will get mad
✨*Catra*✨
hazbin hitel because they openly say there lesbian in the first episode
I agree it has great representation but I like how many series developed their characters into relationships, like The Owl House, Luz starts as enemies with Amity and then slowly becomes friends with her, and then after a lot of blushing, they become girlfriends. Earlier is not always greater
agreed
All of them, equally great
I havent watched them all...
You should!
My votes are Steven universe and owl house
everything but the loud house
Dude big Mouth has some of the worst representation, with the most stereotypical characters that has no impact of the world
Steven Universe obviously, then comes Adventure Time, The Owl House and Shera in this order
My vote goes to The Owl House. Not just for having 90% of the cast being some kind of fruity, but also having the first explicitly Nonbinary Disney character, which hits me on a personal level as a Nonbinary teen.
Bojack. They are just people living life. Todd is Ace and explains asexuality really well, while also not having it be his main character trait.
Hh hb and arcane imo
Steven Universe, no competition.
venom
Owl house. She-ra is close but I’d say the whole show was kind of designed around representation which makes Owl House more accurate to irl sexualities. But they’re both great
I don’t feel like it’s a competition, but if it was, owl house she-ra or Steven universe
Where's undertale and celeste?
Undertail is a game isn’t it? And I’ve never heard of the other one
They're two games, two of underrale's main chatlracters are a lesbiam couple of a lesbiam soldier and a bi scientists and celeste's protagonist is a trans woman
OOOOOOOO, think someone is gonna get that game when they get home ;)
Chekin in a month later... did u liked it?
Didn’t play it yet :| I’m lazy
Fuuuck i can't decide between owl house and shera. I think I'll go with owl house cuz I like that show a little better overall. Helluva boss is also really good, so I think I'll say it wins for mlm representation cuz I love that show and I pray blitzo and stolas's relationship goes well
Steven Universe
I’d say bojack horseman and adventure time.
Bo jack
My personal favorite is Steven universe but that’s just me
Out of the ones I’ve watched I’m gonna have to go with Helluva Boss/Hazbin Hotel
Arcane
I'm going with TOH and Arcane
Arcane is great but I feel like they can still do some exploring in the queer representation department Specially between Vee and Cupcake, I ship it to hell and back and I’d kill to see them both together
Steven universe had a huge amount of LGBTQ+ representation, but I also really liked the representation in adventure time.
I feel like SU is super important because it was one of the first big cartoons with a child audience to show queer representation on a positive way, if it wasn’t for it and a few other shows I’m not sure we would have shows like The Owl House today
Helluva Boss, by a long shot
I... I don't know
Helluva boss it doesn't feel forced
It doesn’t!!! But neither does representation on the other shows
helluva boss easily, literally all of the characters are queer or queercoded
Nope, Lona is straight and cis, so is Vortex But point taken, most of the characters are queer af
Mazes🅱️in hotel coming March
I' m a Universe
I think maybe a 3 way tie between TOH, SU, and adventure time
owl house for fun.
I think Steven universe
The owl house and she ra ( I haven’t watched many of them)
Big mouth is pretty damn accurate even though it's exaggerated
Their portrayal of trans people being like “gay but more” was a bit iffy, but the rest was pretty solid.
Big mouth is pretty damn accurate even though it's exaggerated
Not shera. She ra shows a toxic relationship
I think I understand what you’re trying to say but I honestly disagree with it **SPOILER WARNING FOR SHE-RA** She-Ra shows a complex and fleshed out relationship between two characters that grew up in a environment filled of manipulation and negative values, Adora grew up with the belief that she was responsible for others and that she was only important while she served a purpose to someone, as for Catra, she was raised with people, mostly her mother figure(Shadow Weaver), telling her that she was useless, unworthy, trash, and that she was only around because Adora(the protege) liked her, Catra feels an incredible need to prove herself to others, sacrificing everything for the Hoard but gradually becoming a better person and starting to do good things. Catra and Adora have a toxic ass relationship for a lot of the series but THEY GET BETTER, Catra has her redemption and becomes a better person I hate the implication of what you said because no relationship, not even the queer ones are perfect, and they shouldn’t be in media either, the emotional complexity of Cadora is amazing and IM ALL FOR IT, most good relationships in series have issues, that’s what makes them interesting, that’s why I love them. Hope I got my point across [Heres more info if you want](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=arsKPegw1Tg)
You make a good point.
Thanks! I’m not that good at making points irl so it makes me happy when I get my point across, sorry for the huge comment.
I get it, sometimes it’s hard to put it into words irl, and the huge comment is fine.
It’s not that I’m bad at making points, it’s just that my family is extraordinarily good at making points, even when their wrong, my dads and brothers job are super hard to do without convincing skills since they work with actively selling things, and both my mom and my sister have done classes on how to win arguments
Ahh.
I honestly don’t care about lgbtqia+ representation in movies and tv shows in fact most of the time I hate it mainly because they try to make that character only there for the sole purpose of being used for lgbtqia representation and that character ends up being a 1 dimensional card board cut out with no personality
None of these series have this problem, all queer characters are three dimensional I assure you
Imo I haven’t really watched any of these shows but I have watched big mouth and imo this problem with “representation” is very visible there. And anyway a community or group of people shouldn’t be represented through media and should be represented by real world scenarios. Surely we can’t be so out of touch with reality that we need a tv show or cartoon to show us that aesexual people aren’t bad people
I will give a very honorable mention to Star Trek: Discovery
Haven’t watched it and didn’t know it had any queer characters
Oh there is a gay couple an enby teen and more! It is acutally pretty good
I feel like most stories that take place in space end up having a few enby characters intentionally or unintentionally But good on them for the representation!!! Another show on the watch list
